Dj, seafood food trucks, cigars and cocktails were available. General admission and vip were options for tickets. We went with VIP, that included table, bottle of wine and waters. I ordered for food colossal shrimp and fries. Fish and fries were also ordered. Cooked fresh to order and hot. Drinks were whiskey based. I sipped on whiskey margaritas all night and they were good and strong! This event was a success, I will definitely attend one of these again in my future.

For the price and the people there, you aren't going to find a better public course in the city.read more

I had already checked the website and multiple putters I wanted to look at were in stock. I went to test them before I purchased them and couldn't find 3 of the putters that showed in stock so I asked this employee named Frank. Frank was an employee that was roaming around the putting area. He would talk to customers about the putters they were looking at and was giving his input. Seemed to do more confusing than helping. He was nice enough though. When I asked Frank about the Phantom 5, Frank told me what was on the floor was what they had. I explained to Frank that I saw multiple online and asked if they could possibly be in the back storeroom. He stated "No. you can't trust that website." I was a bit annoyed he didn't check the system, or even browse the back to try and figure out what the issue was. So I walked to the front of the store unsatisfied, and spoke with Sarah. I didn't even mention Frank but explained the same situation. Sarah found the Scottie Cameron Phantom 5 putter within seconds showing in stock. 5 minutes later SHE GOT IT FROM THE BACK and I purchased it. Sarah was amazing and is the only reason this even received 2 stars. I don't know if he's lazy, hiding putters for his buddies, for him to sell, or what the issue was but I know for sure that it is bad business. While I was checking out, Frank walked up and said "Oh you found it?" I just nodded. Then as he was leaving he said "Enjoy." I found the interaction odd and insincere. I typically drive the extra miles to deal with the Chesterfield crew and avoid most people in STL (with the exception of the incredible Santa Clause/Club fitter there) but recently the STL location has been 10x better than the folks at Chesterfield. I can't stress enough how great Sarah was. When I come back, it will simply be because she saved the day. Right now, this isn't a place I would go out of my way to recommend. Golf Galaxy needs to do better.

As a beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Mike put me at ease right away. Our first class (Sunday) focused on pitching, and he broke it down in a way that finally made it click -- clear setup, simple checkpoints, and instant feedback on what I was doing and how to fix it. What stood out is how much genuine teaching experience is behind his coaching. He's a PGA Class A professional with a serious playing and instruction background, and it shows: he doesn't overload you with jargon, he meets you where you are, and he gives you something you can actually take to the course. I left understanding my pitch shot better than I ever have. If you're an adult looking to get into golf or clean up your short game, I highly recommend Mike and this class. This place is top notch for all ages, for the experienced players hitting the big course to all ages playing the par 3 Pitch-N-Putt to learn how to play the game. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful in making sure you enjoy the experience of playing golf. They have a great selection in their Pro Shop for golf gear, along with a snack bar. They even have clubs for PnP and mini golf in case you don't have one. I give this place a 5 star and 2 thumbs up for offering an affordable price on the amenities they offer and for being family friendly :) Also: I did take pictures..please be mindful that due to the long hot summer we have had, it has been a struggle with keeping the course in top shape. Jeff Escott, head professional at Persimmon is my guy, he's a rare breed since he's a teaching pro and a fantastic regional player. Because this Canadian can play, Jeff is able to take real experiences to help me with my power, my posture, and my peanut size head (typically the biggest problem in my game) I really do enjoy working with Jeff and my brother (member at Algonquin) still says to this day his best lesson ever came from Jeff. So, yea, I'm a member at Persimmon, but if I weren't, I'd still find Jeff!

You have dedicated employees who use to go the extra mile here but no longer. No longer will I play BH after I personally experienced the degradation of employees.
