BEST MOVE I'VE EVER MADE RELATED TO GOLF! I've been working with Maria for about 6 months and the changes are really starting to show. She really knows what she's doing and doesn't just rely on one approach. If something isn't working she comes at it from a different angle until she finds what works for me. There is nothing cookie cutter about Maria. If I ask her if all I need to do is practice she'll say something like. "yes, a whole lot because you have a lot of years of doing it wrong to get over before the right way feels normal and works consistently." I love that she gives me notes for reminders so my practice is good practice. I have so much confidence in Maria that my 6 year old grandson has starting working with her. I want him to learn to do it right from the start. After an hour lesson he asked me how long it had been and I told him an hour. He said, "Wow! It felt like two minutes". Don't let her rates scare you. She is more than worth every penny you'll spend and you'll get access to a lot of extras at no additional cost. read more

Maria is a great instructor. I have been golfing on and off for many years and have struggled with my swing. Maria was quickly able to analyze my swing and help me correct it. She is helping me learn proper swing techniques that will allow me to hit the ball with greater consistency. This will give me the ability to hit the ball straighter and further. Thus, giving me the ability to shoot a better score. Maria is very friendly and she provides a calm, laid back atmosphere which allows me to learn. I have taken two lessons from Maria and look forward to a golf season much more confidence in my golf swing. The location at Valley Park is very easy to get to. I live in Illinois and can get there in 30 minutes. Her website is user friendly and it allowed me to schedule appointments very easily. I highly recommend Maria at St.Louis Golf Lessons. read more

When I first picked up a club last summer, I barely knew how to hold it, let alone execute anything that remotely resembled a swing. Everything changed when I started working with Maria. In a patient, professional, and friendly way she is showing me step by step how to build a swing that I can actually take on the course. She demonstrates drills and practice techniques for each element of my swing, uses a cool system to videotape me so I can see what I need to change, and is an endless source of inspiration and encouragement. I've attended both her winter and summer women's clinics and have been so impressed with Maria's ability to meet each student where she is. Whether you're a man or a woman, young or old, raw beginner or experienced player, Maria is unquestionably your best choice for instruction that produces great results. read more

I've watched Maria Palozola over the past two years teach while I hit balls on the range doing my best to incorporate what I've read from various publications and friends best advice....this past week I spent an hour with her working on my swing, then going to work on her suggestions. I am very impressed with her teaching skills and ability to communicate with me the shuttle and not so shuttle changes I needed to make! The results are excellent.!! I'm afraid too many of us are like myself, waiting too long to improve their game, too stingy to crack open the wallet. Time spent with her will pay dividends that I can not put a price on with respect to my game. My only regret I wish I did this sooner read more

I have been playing off and on for many years, and had some lessons early on. I finally decided it was time to get another lesson, and it was the best decision I ever made to choose Maria Palozola and St. Louis Golf Lessons.com. In one lesson she identified two key problems in my golf swing, helped me with exercises to fix the problem, and I was hitting the ball crisper and father than I ever thought possible at 54 years old. She is amazing at helping you not only understand what your doing wrong and visualizing it, but she has a great ability to help you fix it almost immediately. Thanks Maria! I look forward to continuing to improve my game with your instruction. Robert, St. Louis, MO read more

My son has been a student of Maria's for almost 2 1/2 years, so writing this review will not only be easy, but it will be accurate. I am extremely particular about my son's game and his coaching, and I can honestly say that he has had the best training, and golf experience, that is available from a swing coach. Passionate. Golfsmart. Experienced. Frankly, I can't believe that a swing coach with her background and accolades, is available to someone like my son. If you are currently taking lessons or just beginning, take a lesson and you will see what I'm talking about. Thanks for reading this and good luck with your golf game. read more

I am returning to golf after a long hiatus, and also recovering from a back strain. I figured a lesson with a pro would be a good first step. My son and I completed a lesson with Maria yesterday. In a few short minutes, using video technology, she identified two flaws in my swing that when fixed, made a significant improvement in the ball flight. As a youngster, I had the privilege of learning from some excellent pros, and after just one lesson, I would put Maria at the top of my list for effectiveness. My son played a round after the lesson and told me he improved by 13 strokes over the previous day! read more

Maria Palozola is the best instructor in the St. Louis area! And in the Midwest! She's amazing. Very dedicated to helping her students learn and have fun with golf. Maria has a wonderful way of diagnosing technical issues with my swing, stance, and follow through and teaches me to correct those in a way that helps me remember what she has taught. She's professional but also fun and has a great personality so it feels like she's a friend right off the bat. I took my first lesson with Maria this past Monday. After 45 years of golfing, I still struggle with my swing. Maria immediately saw my swing problems and gave me excellent instructional tips to help me improve my swing. I've been practicing the golf tips she recommended and can see improvements. I liked my lesson so much, I scheduled another lesson with Maria. I can't wait for my next lesson. If you want to enjoy golf as much as I do and are struggling with your swing, I hope you take time to get a lesson from Maria. read more

I have had lessons from several locations but Maria in one hour corrected a major flaw in my swing that nobody had ever mentioned. I stayed after the lesson and hit a small bucket of balls and have never been able to be so straight with my shots. When I got home an hour away I tried it again and same result even though I was getting tired. I would recommend her to anyone who is having trouble as she has a good eye for correcting flaws. In the future I will return again for further help. read more

I've been shopping around for good instructors, and so far Maria makes sense. I appreciate her confidence in her solutions. More than that, she will keep trying different approaches until her point clicks with me. Previous instuctors have fewer approaches or attempts at making a connection with the student and the skill. Maybe the way she says it makes sense to me more than other instructors, but I have hope I can reduce the suck in my 27 HC game. read more

I have taken golf lessons before and, frankly, my expectations were pretty low. Most of the time. instructors say things to you and you are like, "What?" Not with these lessons and not with Maria. Her suggestions were straightforward, clear, and helpful right from the beginning. I highly recommend her. I can't wait to get out on the course this summer and work on the things she told me. I will definitely be taking more lessons from her! read more

I came to Maria last year as a truly clueless golfer. My goals were to learn the fundamentals, develop a good golf swing and build some confidence to go out and enjoy a round of golf. Maria's knowledge and patience brought me from a beginner to a level in which she is now helping me hone my skills. Anyone from a beginner to a single digit handicap golfer can benefit from Maria's golf instruction. read more

Took lessons with Alisha Mathews of at St. Louis Golf Lessons and she was fabulous! 3 friends and I scheduled 4 group lessons, it felt like was getting an individual lesson. She would work with each of us on our own then we would practice awhile and she'd swing back to give more feedback. I've taken lessons at different times in my life but this was the best by far. I highly recommend! read more

I have been golfing for over 50 years - but my game has been declining the last few years. So I scheduled my first golf lesson Ever with Ryan Young. He was fantastic! He helped understand and get back to some basic mechanics that I had strayed away from. I saw immediate improvement in my mid-range irons. And have some new tips to help me get off the tee with better results. read more
