As a beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Mike put me at ease right away. Our first class (Sunday) focused on pitching, and he broke it down in a way that finally made it click -- clear setup, simple checkpoints, and instant feedback on what I was doing and how to fix it. What stood out is how much genuine teaching experience is behind his coaching. He's a PGA Class A professional with a serious playing and instruction background, and it shows: he doesn't overload you with jargon, he meets you where you are, and he gives you something you can actually take to the course. I left understanding my pitch shot better than I ever have. If you're an adult looking to get into golf or clean up your short game, I highly recommend Mike and this class. You can easily look up the cutting-edge technology, so I won't go into detail there but the vibe is upscale and it's super fun to hit balls, drink beers, grab some food, or even just hang out. The food is great and comes at a decent price as well. What sets this place apart and why I stay a member is the staff. Everyone goes above and beyond, from the servers, to the front desk staff like TJ, to the golf coaches, like Jack. They are all very focused on making sure that you are taken care of and are always very friendly and accommodating. So even though the weather is finally nice and I could go out and play, I feel really good coming in, hitting balls, and bringing my friends along for a fun time.

We went specifically to see the Flags of Valor. This was the first time we had seen them. We ended up going on the last day and there were a lot of people there. We finally found a place to park and walked back to the flags It was extremely moving and impressive. It was explained to me that the flags are there every five years. It's not always the same display - different groups from September 11 are featured so there are a different number of flags. There are dog tags and photos on the flag poles. There are notes people have written. This year there were 7,650 flags. They're all in perfect lines. The flags this year honored every life lost in the War on Terror - the victims, the first responders of 9/11, and those that who have since succumbed to related illnesses or PTSD. I'm so glad I heard about it and that we were able to go.

It is so comparative to Central Park in Manhattan in terms of grandeur and liveliness. I don't know if you could walk Forest Park in a day and feel like you saw everything because it winds around and there are smaller trailers that pop in and out of nowhere. Surprisingly, I do not think the city takes care of the park, but an established group called Forest Park Forever, whose history starts back in the 60s, or 80s? They are a group of volunteers who tend to the park - every part of it, in every season, and really beautify it! There is security on patrol often enough so it's not too isolating and scary. There are parking lots closer to the main attractions. There is also street parking here, which adds to it being active but a park you can drive through, bike, and walk.

But we do love the fans in the bays haha! Even on the busiest days, we haven't had any issues finding two bays next to each other. And they do get busy. Their concessions have $5 beers which is sweet. Their field is beautiful with plenty of flags to aim for. It's been really fun to watch myself progress here. Huge, gorgeous facility. Such a blast every time we go.

Mick starts with the fundamentals of the golf swing and evolves into using the camera work and technology to really dial in the swing and to enable certain "feels" in the golf swing. We are always going back to fundamentals while working on improving athleticism in the golf swing. Whether you are just starting golf or wanting to take your swing to the next level, I highly recommend doing a package with Mick!

Purchased a Cobra DS-Adapt Max K from Pro Am Golf. The driver showed up right away and on time…read more Unfortunately, the third time I used the driver, the shaft snapped on the downswing. I was pretty baffled, I've owned many drivers and never had a shaft snap like that. I called Pro Am and spoke to Rob, and within about two hours Cobra was already sending me a new shaft. I was really impressed with Rob and all of Pro Am Golf. You can't find that level of customer service many places these days. Rob even followed up with me a few days later to let me know the shaft was being delivered the next day and to be on the lookout for it. Really impressed with these guys.

I have passed Golfsmith many times on Manchester but never stopped in...boy, I sure glad I did. The store is amazing. Well organized and stocked to the gills. The have everything you might need for golf. They also have golf simulators and they will let you try out clubs. The folks working were very helpful especially for a hack like me as they really helped me pick some golf balls that fit my poor game. While I don't live close to Golfsmith, I will definitely go there again!
