Went in the pro shop and the pro was less than enthusiastic. Ok, end of the season I get it. Don't need to jump up and down that I am there but at least show some emotion. I can look past that. Played Woodlawn/ Prairie. IMHO great design except for Prarie #1. Hit 7 iron to a forced layup on a tight dogleg right and 7 iron the green. My personal pet peeve is forced layups. No worries. Love the elevation changes and the routing. Tees were a little rough but the fairways were plush. Greens had been pinhole punched a couple of week ago but were healing nice. Biggest knock is they did not change cup locations for who knows how long. Every cup edge was way rounded over and there were second cup locations that had foam plugs in them. For the price they should change the cup locations more often. Will round up this review to 4 stars but would give it 3.5 if I could. Did like the course enough to buy a shirt from the pro shop. Still not a very personable pro at the counter.

The entire round I was waiting behind a group who took approximately 6.7 hours to play 18 holes. We had to leave early because my friend had work. Bear in mind, we started at 11 and had to leave at 5. Also I was -3 at that time. The condition this course was in was utterly laughable, and I wouldn't wish playing this course on my worst enemy. It's been awhile…read more.... I've been avoiding this place for as long as I possibly could. Obviously I had two terrible experiences and didn't want to shop here anymore so I would drive out of my way an go even further to Chesterfield (Amazing store). Today I decided to go to the Manchester location.....and I'm glad I did. I met Dave in the club re-gripping and repair station. A wonderful human being who provided me with exceptional customer service! We talked about grips, what we preferred, what we didn't, and what we felt were a little gimmicky (no shot at anyone who likes a particular thing ). Dave is an outstanding professional with a great personality. Don't sleep on his skills on gripping clubs either. Watching him was a work of art. This is what golf is about, this what the golf community is about. He didn't know my handicap, and he didn't care. He didn't judge me on my clothes, where I was from, he just knew I was there to get some help with something I loved, GOLF!!!! While I waited for my grips I snagged a beautiful pair of footjoys, that hopefully make my feet happy. When I purchased the grips, I lost a 15% discount on a mishap with their online ordering. The young gentleman at the checkout desk helped me get the discount attached and purchase the grips at the price I was promised online. I felt like all the pricing was reasonable, and honestly I can't find it much cheaper anywhere else. They do price match with certain stores if you show them. I can't express how pleased I was to meet Dave and have such a fun time spending money on my biggest hobby. Fun fact, I also found out Dave is a Santa clause!!! An excellent one at that. (As if he wasn't already cool enough.) You can follow him at @SantaDaveEureka on Facebook. Throughout Christmas time and the holidays him and his wife are spreading Christmas cheer and being awesome people. Thank you Golf Galaxy for having such an excellent employee on the roster .

Michelle has been my point of contact for our upcoming event and has been extremely helpful as well as fast to respond. The bar is more than I expected with plenty of beer and drink selections. We didn't have food but the menu seems to have enough options to fill the need. Both Michelle and Tony had suggestions if I wanted something more extensive catered in for our event. Again both super helpful. The simulator experience was a lot of fun. I am an average golfer as is my buddy and we got through 18 in about 90 minutes. The simulator options seem to be everything you need...practice tee and greens, plenty of game options and loads of courses to play. Two suggestions...practice putting on the simulator before you start a virtual round. It took a while to get the hang of putting. Second I didn't download the X-Golf app in advance. I think you can get access to all your stats if you do and sign into the simulator with your user name. Overall very enjoyable venue, super nice staff...and I didn't lose a single ball! Will definitely be back before our event as well as after.
