Ballwin is a city worth visiting because Manchester (a major thoroughfare running through Ballwin and beyond) has everything you desire from restaurants, car dealerships, retail stores, banking facilities and more specifically Gold's Gym, Supplement Superstore and Queeny Park. I'd be remiss if Ballwin was left off my city list. It's a great city with much to offer.

Number 3 tee

Tina is terrible. The rest of the course and staff are terrific. Let's start with the good and then move onto Tina. Buch & Ben have made this course puttable again, their work as the super's over the past two years has made Ballwin the best muni track in the St. Louis area. Alex has been a great pro since taking over for Dave Furlong and really improved the entire clubhouse experience. I play 2-5 times a week and everyone that works their is great: Jim, Cheryl, Lisa, John, Gary, and I'm sure I've missed a couple but they are all friendly and welcoming. Only exception is Tina, she's just not friendly, I don't think I've ever seen her smile. Tina also doesn't understand the inner workings of a golf course, when a single goes up without a tee time, everyone else tries their best to squeeze that single on, if possible. Tina just thinks oh the tee sheet is entirely full, so there's no possible chance, one person, throughout the day over many hours of bookings won't show up, because in Tina's mind, that's just not plausible. The city needs to do a better job of training Tina both from a customer service perspective and a golf course operation perspective.

Great course, horribly run. Be warned that booking a time doesn't guarantee you that time. They will put favored groups ahead of you.

Great course. Great value. Great people. The greens are great. The fairways suffered from the freeze but are recovering nicely.

Very boring and not scenic in any way at all even being in this area! With this course also being so close to 2 others the four of us that played yesterday agreed that we will not be back to this course.......

Real Honest Review: Avoid this course. Many others nearby that are better. But, it isn't the course…read morethat was the problem; We recently took some of our employees for a round of golf, and the experience was, unfortunately, unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. We booked two tee times--one for a group of four and another for two more players behind us. All of us are avid golfers, playing regularly at esteemed courses like Tapawingo, Pevely, Crescent Farms, and St. Albans. From the moment we checked in, we were met with undue hostility. The staff immediately warned us not to play slow golf, which felt quite off-putting. After some time at the range, we went to check in for our tee time but were again met with rudeness. An elderly staff member asked, "Who's golfing?" When we explained our group setup, he condescendingly warned us not to slow things down and not to play together on the course. We assured him we understood, and if necessary, the girls would sit out a few holes. He dismissively rolled his eyes, adding to our discomfort. At the first tee, the same staff member reiterated his warning about not getting caught playing together. This set a negative tone for our day right from the start. Despite being experienced golfers who know the etiquette, we found ourselves stuck behind a slow group of four. We patiently waited as they took their time, often five-putting on greens. No complaints from us--we believe everyone should enjoy their game. However, during a brief stop at the turn for snacks and a bathroom break, another staff member rudely told the women to hurry up, even though we were only inside for 10 minutes. The negative treatment continued throughout our round, culminating in an eye-roll from the staff when we returned the carts. The entire experience--from check-in to drop-off--was marred by unwarranted judgments and a clear bias against women golfers. This was an honest review of our experience. We regularly play and respect every course we visit, often conducting business on the greens. We chose Aberdeen to try a new course close to many others in the area. Sadly, we've now crossed it off our list. My wife's grandmother, a friend of the owners, was embarrassed by how we were treated and won't recommend this course to anyone. To be treated with such disrespect was inexcusable. It's clear they have a bias against women golfers. We had hoped to make this a regular spot for outings with clients, employees, and vendors, but after this experience, we won't be returning.

Bellerive Country Club was site of the 2018 PGA Championship, one of the more memorable golf majors…read morein recent history due to the drama that unfolded that championship Sunday. In light traffic, Bellerive is located about 20-30 minutes west of the city of St. Louis and only 15-20 minutes southwest of the airport. This is a private club that was established in 1897. The current golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1960. Since then, the club has hosted three majors: the 1965 US Open, the 74th PGA Championship in 1992, and the 100th PGA Championship in 2018. It's also hosted two senior majors, the 2004 US Senior Open and the 2013 Senior PGA Championship, as well as the 2008 BMW Championship, the second-to-last tournament of the FedExCup Playoffs. Brooks Koepka (-16) won the 2018 PGA Championship by two strokes over Tiger Woods (-14) who finished in sole possession of 2nd place. On Sunday, Tiger shot the best score of his career in the final round of a major (64). Unfortunately, it was too little, too late against a dominant force like Koepka who refused to give up the lead. It was very exciting to watch, especially at the time. Tiger was getting closer and closer to winning his 15th major, his first in what would have been 10 years. Less than a month prior, he had sole possession of the lead early in the final round of the Open Championship at Carnoustie. After several winless and absent years on Tour, the possibility of Tiger winning a major championship had become real again. The month after the 2018 PGA Championship at Bellerive, Tiger won his first PGA Tour event since 2013 with a victory at the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta. He followed that up with his historic Masters win the following April (2019). And the rest is history. Brooks Koepka, meanwhile, went on to repeat by winning the 2019 PGA Championship at Bethpage Black and finished tied for 2nd behind Tiger at the Masters in 2019.

Other staff here were really kind and supportive as well so credit to them! Especially at front desk Today was the best thanks to the support. I also would like to include Issac for delivering the food while Claire took the orders. Both of them were really kind and direct Most times people are quiet and didn't talk so this time was special and meant alot for both me with the people here Definitely will return again and bring more family or friends to support again.

It was our first time coming to Topgolf and we didn't get instructions but we figured it out pretty quickly. There's some golf clubs, including several various options, both short and tall. There are also can't miss clubs, which was a nice option for the kids. You select a game on the screen (angry birds and sonic are a few options), approach the little green patch, swing your club over a light that pops out a ball. We did find someone to request left handed clubs for one of my kids which was readily met. We all enjoyed hitting the balls, especially my 7 year old (and husband). For the event, they had buffet style food which was good for kids, okay for adults. Finger type foods like quesadillas, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, and tater tots. Service for drinks was a little slow but they were busy. It's a little chilly but they did have some heaters. Still, most of my family was most comfortable in our coats. It would be a fun activity for a date night. It is expensive though so I would try to go on a day or time of day they have deals (there are at least a few). My son now wants to have his birthday party here in the spring so we likely will be back!

Michelle has been my point of contact for our upcoming event and has been extremely helpful as well as fast to respond. On our visit yesterday Tony gave us the white glove treatment...friendly, helpful, showed us the entire place and regularly checked on us during our virtual round. The bar is more than I expected with plenty of beer and drink selections. We didn't have food but the menu seems to have enough options to fill the need. Both Michelle and Tony had suggestions if I wanted something more extensive catered in for our event. Again both super helpful. The simulator experience was a lot of fun. I am an average golfer as is my buddy and we got through 18 in about 90 minutes. The simulator options seem to be everything you need...practice tee and greens, plenty of game options and loads of courses to play. Two suggestions...practice putting on the simulator before you start a virtual round. It took a while to get the hang of putting. Second I didn't download the X-Golf app in advance. I think you can get access to all your stats if you do and sign into the simulator with your user name. Overall very enjoyable venue, super nice staff...and I didn't lose a single ball! Will definitely be back before our event as well as after.
