I had already checked the website and multiple putters I wanted to look at were in stock. I went to test them before I purchased them and couldn't find 3 of the putters that showed in stock so I asked this employee named Frank. Frank was an employee that was roaming around the putting area. He would talk to customers about the putters they were looking at and was giving his input. Seemed to do more confusing than helping. He was nice enough though. When I asked Frank about the Phantom 5, Frank told me what was on the floor was what they had. I explained to Frank that I saw multiple online and asked if they could possibly be in the back storeroom. He stated "No. you can't trust that website." I was a bit annoyed he didn't check the system, or even browse the back to try and figure out what the issue was. So I walked to the front of the store unsatisfied, and spoke with Sarah. I didn't even mention Frank but explained the same situation. Sarah found the Scottie Cameron Phantom 5 putter within seconds showing in stock. 5 minutes later SHE GOT IT FROM THE BACK and I purchased it. Sarah was amazing and is the only reason this even received 2 stars. I don't know if he's lazy, hiding putters for his buddies, for him to sell, or what the issue was but I know for sure that it is bad business. While I was checking out, Frank walked up and said "Oh you found it?" I just nodded. Then as he was leaving he said "Enjoy." I found the interaction odd and insincere. I typically drive the extra miles to deal with the Chesterfield crew and avoid most people in STL (with the exception of the incredible Santa Clause/Club fitter there) but recently the STL location has been 10x better than the folks at Chesterfield. I can't stress enough how great Sarah was. When I come back, it will simply be because she saved the day. Right now, this isn't a place I would go out of my way to recommend. Golf Galaxy needs to do better.

The young man behind the counter thought he was something else, answered my question flippantly. Unfortunately, when we checked out he was the cashier. Just an underwhelming experience overall.

I have passed Golfsmith many times on Manchester but never stopped in...boy, I sure glad I did. The store is amazing. Well organized and stocked to the gills. The have everything you might need for golf. They also have golf simulators and they will let you try out clubs. The folks working were very helpful especially for a hack like me as they really helped me pick some golf balls that fit my poor game. While I don't live close to Golfsmith, I will definitely go there again!

Mick starts with the fundamentals of the golf swing and evolves into using the camera work and technology to really dial in the swing and to enable certain "feels" in the golf swing. We are always going back to fundamentals while working on improving athleticism in the golf swing. Whether you are just starting golf or wanting to take your swing to the next level, I highly recommend doing a package with Mick!

Purchased a Cobra DS-Adapt Max K from Pro Am Golf. The driver showed up right away and on time…read more Unfortunately, the third time I used the driver, the shaft snapped on the downswing. I was pretty baffled, I've owned many drivers and never had a shaft snap like that. I called Pro Am and spoke to Rob, and within about two hours Cobra was already sending me a new shaft. I was really impressed with Rob and all of Pro Am Golf. You can't find that level of customer service many places these days. Rob even followed up with me a few days later to let me know the shaft was being delivered the next day and to be on the lookout for it. Really impressed with these guys.

It's been awhile…read more.... I've been avoiding this place for as long as I possibly could. Obviously I had two terrible experiences and didn't want to shop here anymore so I would drive out of my way an go even further to Chesterfield (Amazing store). Today I decided to go to the Manchester location.....and I'm glad I did. I met Dave in the club re-gripping and repair station. A wonderful human being who provided me with exceptional customer service! We talked about grips, what we preferred, what we didn't, and what we felt were a little gimmicky (no shot at anyone who likes a particular thing ). Dave is an outstanding professional with a great personality. Don't sleep on his skills on gripping clubs either. Watching him was a work of art. This is what golf is about, this what the golf community is about. He didn't know my handicap, and he didn't care. He didn't judge me on my clothes, where I was from, he just knew I was there to get some help with something I loved, GOLF!!!! While I waited for my grips I snagged a beautiful pair of footjoys, that hopefully make my feet happy. When I purchased the grips, I lost a 15% discount on a mishap with their online ordering. The young gentleman at the checkout desk helped me get the discount attached and purchase the grips at the price I was promised online. I felt like all the pricing was reasonable, and honestly I can't find it much cheaper anywhere else. They do price match with certain stores if you show them. I can't express how pleased I was to meet Dave and have such a fun time spending money on my biggest hobby. Fun fact, I also found out Dave is a Santa clause!!! An excellent one at that. Can't comment on the quality of an iron fitting (later that day I spent $1300* on a new set of irons/fitting at a competitor)......but that manager would be terminated if I was his supervisor. I just started the Adult Beginner Co-Ed class at St. Louis Golf Lessons with Mike Fromuth, and…read moreafter the first session, I'm already glad I signed up. As a beginner, I wasn't sure what to expect, but Mike put me at ease right away. Our first class (Sunday) focused on pitching, and he broke it down in a way that finally made it click -- clear setup, simple checkpoints, and instant feedback on what I was doing and how to fix it. What stood out is how much genuine teaching experience is behind his coaching. He's a PGA Class A professional with a serious playing and instruction background, and it shows: he doesn't overload you with jargon, he meets you where you are, and he gives you something you can actually take to the course. I left understanding my pitch shot better than I ever have. If you're an adult looking to get into golf or clean up your short game, I highly recommend Mike and this class.
