I did the 1 hr individual assessment with Alisha Matthews and couldn't be happier. Of course the…read moreresults remain to be seen...its up to me to use the information and guidance Alisha provided but here are my post-assessment thoughts: - First Alisha is fantastic to work with! Very personable, very knowledgeable, appears to be a GREAT listener (!!!), relays information in usable ways, and doesn't overload you with comments, thoughts, changes. This was my first time meeting / working with Alisha and the experience was very enjoyable. - Alisha started off our assessment asking me a host of questions, which was refreshing. She asked questions covering my golf experience, my background with golf (and other sports), my goal(s), my golf frequency, why I was there, etc. It was a wonderful way for us to get to know each other. Off to a good start! - Alisha watched me warm up then hit some balls. Good conversation along the way, a couple of "atta boys" during the warmup and swings. Then the fun began. Alisha video'ed me swinging and pointed out some areas we were going to work on. All which was explained in very understandable terms. - Then 3 drills to help a couple of key areas, which I practiced while she observed...extremely helpful and something I could continue to work on. - We talked about next steps, which Alisha left totally up to me...no pressure, no "sign up now" focus. I probably left out something along the way but my assessment was well worth the investment. Alisha seems like an incredible instructor and I'd highly recommend her. I'll be working on the "homework" Alisha gave me then looking to book more time with her.

I recently purchased a lesson with Maria for my son and girlfriend. When they got home they…read morecouldn't stop talking about how enjoyable it was for a few reasons. First was how she improved their swings, and second was how comfortable Maria made them feel. In fact they are already making plans for their next lesson when they come back to town. (They live out of state). Both enjoyed their video playback and were surprised how well their swings improved after just a few pointers from Maria. They are looking forward to continued progress. To summarize, they loved Maria's teaching techniques and her encouraging personality.

I had one of the most disappointing experiences at GolfTec Clayton today and I feel compelled to…read moreshare it. I called a week in advance to book a simulator rental for an hour, which I was told would cost $50. That seemed reasonable, so I went ahead. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk and no one available to help me set things up. After wandering around, I finally asked one of the instructors in another bay if he could assist. He was completely unhelpful, told me he didn't know how to adjust the simulator settings properly, and basically just shrugged off my requests. To make matters worse, the simulator itself was glitchy and wasn't recording my yardages accurately. I specifically needed it set up for a left-handed player, and he just refused to help or even try to figure it out. An hour went by with barely any assistance, and then he tried to charge me $100 instead of the $50 I was originally quoted, claiming it was actually $50 for just 30 minutes. Overall, it was a terrible experience. The staff was unprofessional and unhelpful, and the equipment didn't even work properly. I definitely won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

I have never golfed a day in my life. I had my first "intake" evaluation a couple weeks ago and it…read morewas pretty fun. Mike is a good teacher and likes to try to make the learning understandable by comparing it to something you already know about. For me it's dance, which really is nothing like golf, but at least understanding that I've been trained to do the opposite my whole life is actually really helpful. Not really cheap, but private lessons in anything never are, and they're not ungodly overpriced, which is nice. I bought a 10-lesson package, so we'll see how it goes! Parking is a pain, as the garage is really full no matter what time of day I go (I've gone with BF for his before), but there's coffee right across the street, and I can't complain about that.

May 2 2026 I had a…read moreprom today with friends and it's our last We're all 18+ and Claire was very nice Some of us had a first time here and others been here and forgot She happily told us how things were so we had a better idea I liked the hat and necklace she had as both were really stylish. Other staff here were really kind and supportive as well so credit to them! Especially at front desk Today was the best thanks to the support. I also would like to include Issac for delivering the food while Claire took the orders. Both of them were really kind and direct Most times people are quiet and didn't talk so this time was special and meant alot for both me with the people here Definitely will return again and bring more family or friends to support again.

We went to Topgolf for an event & had a blast! My husband, myself and our two kids checked in, went…read moreto our bay, and started swinging! It was our first time coming to Topgolf and we didn't get instructions but we figured it out pretty quickly. There's some golf clubs, including several various options, both short and tall. There are also can't miss clubs, which was a nice option for the kids. You select a game on the screen (angry birds and sonic are a few options), approach the little green patch, swing your club over a light that pops out a ball. We did find someone to request left handed clubs for one of my kids which was readily met. We all enjoyed hitting the balls, especially my 7 year old (and husband). For the event, they had buffet style food which was good for kids, okay for adults. Finger type foods like quesadillas, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, and tater tots. Service for drinks was a little slow but they were busy. It's a little chilly but they did have some heaters. Still, most of my family was most comfortable in our coats. It would be a fun activity for a date night. It is expensive though so I would try to go on a day or time of day they have deals (there are at least a few). My son now wants to have his birthday party here in the spring so we likely will be back!
