Chicken Mozambique
Eric M.

Absolutely loved it! No wait, sat on the patio on a lovely Saturday afternoon. Our server was kind and friendly and brought us extra water for our dog. Probably one of the best chicken mozambiques I've had in a while, sauce was flavorful not too spicy love the thinner fries to absorb the sauce. The shrimp were big on the sandwich! Loved to see it. Definitely will come back for their big beer selection

It was a foggy, damp, cold end of March night and Moby Dick was the warm sunshine I was looking forward to in Spring! What a find! From the moment I walked in, the cozy, friendly service and the tastebud tantalizing menu soothed my souls through and through! Touching on service, there was no shortage of knowledge and friendliness to be found at this whaler's ward side tavern and the smiles from the girls made me feel like I was walking into a Cheers bar! Your typical brewery ambience, comfy bar stools, old friends having a few beers and laughing in the background led me to believe I had found the right spot! A quick look at the specials menu and I knew the fried okra and New England clam chowder was a must to start with! I splurged and tried their Belgian Quad, though I am not a beer drinker, I found it absolutely delicious! I even ordered a second! Feeling good now, I ordered one of their perfectly juicy and flavorful burgers, a little beer cheese and fries on the side and I was as big as a whale swimming out of there! Do yourself a favor, just an hour outside of Boston is this fabulous find, come see the quaint whaling village of New Bedford and stop in a Moby Dick's! The girls will make you feel right at home and you will have a "whale of a good time"!

Great place to stop after a long day at the whaling museum next door. It's very open inside and feels like a typical modern restaurant with the word "brewing" in its name. Truffle fries were good (made with truffle oil) and so was the calamari. Service was a little slow, however.

Crab Rangoon pizza 9/10. Heated up well next day

We stopped in to only have a flight, but ended up ordering lunch too and glad we did! The beers were amazing and true to their flavor profile. The pretzels were a 10/10. Crisp outside with a soft center. I prefer mustard with my pretzels, but not anymore! Their cheese dip was perfect. We ordered the crab Rangoon pizza, ate a slice and took rest back to our place. Tasted great out of the oven the next day as well. Must try! I ordered the Mussel app. They were clean and the sauce was perfect pairing. I rarely buy merch from places but I bought a hat and shirt. So, it was good food and beer!

Steak tips were perfect and service was excellent! Great selection of beers on draft. A good place to watch the game as well.

Server was great, the place has a ton of seating and a nice vibe. The food was ok, nothing really stood out. We had the nachos with the pulled pork on the side. Tasty. The New England clam chowder was interesting, sort of a riff on the traditional but was pretty bland. The turkey pot pie and the salads were fine. We did not try any of the beers, but they had a great selection with lots of varieties. Worth going back to try some, and maybe a couple of the apps.

Moby Dick's Brewing is located in the historic district of New Bedford. The service was quick and kind, we had the pretzels and beer cheese to eat and got a couple of beers. The pretzels were fresh and delicious, with a tasty beer cheese. The two beers were both good and the ambiance was great. Nice street side (not busy,) outdoor seating available. I like the vibe and the food and beer. I will definitely return.

Fish and Chips kids meal

I came across this place as I was strolling around the neighborhood. It was a good choice. The ambiance is pretty chill. The hostess was nice from the moment you walked in. I ordered to-go since I had to get back to my hotel to get dressed for an event. I ordered the fish and chips, it had the right amount of crisp from the fish to the chips. I also ordered the braised short ribs that came with mash and Brussels sprouts. Everything was well done. The braised short ribs were tender and the mash was done perfectly. Now the Brussels sprouts were simply amazing. Done to perfection not soggy but perfect. Everything was great except they forgot my kid's drink. Just please be aware next time.

update: we visited again a year later and it was so so much better! first, the staff was great! we were seated early for our reservation and the host was very kind, but i have to say our waitress was great. i hate that i can't remember her name because i would have loved to shout her out - super sweet, attentive, and quick! although it is quite loud in here, i didn't find that that impacted our experience much, just a little hard to hear but the place is nice and has a clean look to it! now for food: we started off with the buffalo chicken dip + tortilla chips which was delicious! i loved that the chips were so fresh and complimented the velvety, not over spicy or overpowering, dip perfectly. for my entree, i ordered the new england baked scallops. i was a bit apprehensive because they looked a little bit watery but they were pretty good, the ritz crumb topping was super enjoyable. i really liked the mashed potatoes and absolutely loved the butternut squash. overall, a really nice experience and i would definitely visit again!

Horrible! Don't waste your time! Terrible customer service. Waitress was rude. We canceled our food order and left after 1 drink.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe hits you perfectly: a spacious, welcoming taproom with that perfect mix of industrial brewery charm and cozy, comfortable seating and great music. Whether you're grabbing a spot at the bar, settling into a table with friends, or enjoying the fantastic patio everything feels thoughtfully designed for maximum enjoyment. Berkley Beer Company pours some of the best craft beer in the region. Their Golden Ale is crisp, smooth, and perfectly balanced, ideal for session drinking. Their Fire House Red brings beautiful malt character with hints of dark fruit and spice that keeps you coming back for more. Every beer I've tried here tastes fresh, honest, and packed with passion. They clearly respect the craft and it shows in every sip. The Food is Legitimately Outstanding This isn't your typical "bar food" situation. The scratch kitchen delivers serious flavor. The pizza, apps, and the rest of the menu are all executed at a high level. Everything pairs beautifully with their beers, and the portions are generous without being ridiculous. Service That Feels Like Home The staff here are genuinely warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. They make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. Whether you're a beer nerd geeking out over hops or just looking for a solid pint and good company, they take care of you. Berkley Beer Company has nailed the complete package: exceptional beer, delicious food, fantastic atmosphere, and that rare "everyone's welcome" energy. It's family-friendly, fun for groups, perfect for date nights, and ideal for solo visits too. This place deserves every bit of hype it gets (and more). It's easily one of the best breweries in the entire Boston area and beyond. I can't recommend it highly enough--Berkley Beer Company is a must-visit. I'll be back again and again. Highly, highly recommended. 10/10. Go now!

So many options of drinks and food. Started off with the Chourico queso and garlic bread with marinara dip. Both were excellent, little bit of spice on the queso and the marinara was delicious with that crispy garlic bread. The pizza was solid! Thin, crispy, full of flavor, the bbq was the crowd favorite, the Mozambique was okay but really lacked that signature flavor on it. Had a wide variety of options of places to sit and the outside was so cute. Whether you are here for date night or just a casual hangout for friends this is a great place to go!

Found a table indoors (outdoor seating available as well) with ample room for all five of us including dolls, cards, and toys. I ordered a Bloody Mary made with a local alcoholic seltzer which was a great drink but also a significant appetizer with all the fixings. I ordered the "Luca Brazi" sandwich which was excellent and took home half the sandwich for dinner tonight. *Important footnote...I NEVER have leftovers when I order dinner. I ALWAYS eat EVERYTHING!! I highly recommend if you are a tourist (or a local) take the two block walk from visiting The Plymouth Rock and enjoy a great meal and drinks at THE VITAMIN SEA RESTAURANT!!

Vitamin Sea Brewing is a craft brewery that opened in Weymouth, Massachusetts in February 2019. It…read morewas founded by business partners Dino Funari, Pete Kiley, Josh Sherman and Richard DiBona. Funari, Kiley and Sherman frequently got together on weekends to embrace their love of homebrewing. After doing this for a number of years, and building up a local following distributing their home-brews from a blue cooler, they decided to open a brick & mortar brewery and taproom. At this time, DiBona came on board as a partner and assisted with the search for a location. After exausting all options in the seaside town of Hull, the partners acquired a 3,000-sq-ft space in the "craft beer friendly" town of Weymouth. The name "Vitamin Sea" was chosen to reflect Funari's love of surfing and surf culture. The brewery quickly gained a reputation for their juicy New England IPAs, decadent Stouts, and experimental Fruited Sours. A second location opened along the waterfront in Plymouth in May 2024. I recently visited Vitamin Sea's Plymouth location while I was in town for the day. I was scheduled to meet up with some other beer bloggers at a different brewery later. I soon realized that Plymouth has an excellent craft beer scene and decided to head to Vitamin Sea first. The Plymouth facility is a beautiful location along the waterfront. I really liked the nautical/surf design theme too! I grabbed a seat at the bar and began to look over the menu. I heard that the Plymouth location is known for their excellent ciabatta sandwiches, so I ordered the "Parm to Table" (oven-roasted chicken cutlet, house-made marinara, melted mild & aged provolone, Parmesan, whipped lemon ricotta, basil on toasted ciabatta). It was the BEST chicken cutlet sandwich I've ever had in my life! What made it stand apart from other sandwiches? The whipped lemon ricotta! I washed it down with a pour of "Currency Check" (Double New England IPA), followed by "Mexican Blanket" (Imperial Stout). The beer, like the food, was fantastic! I must also point out that the staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and helpful throughout my visit. I highly recommend Vitamin Sea Brewing and look forward to visiting their Weymouth location!
