This is a small children's science center with a bit of everything and on one floor. My kiddos ages 6-13 as well as the adults in our party enjoyed 90 minutes of learning, play, and fun. We used our science center membership reciprocal program for free admission. Highlights of our visit: the money exhibit, live snake and turtles, magnets, air pressure rockets, spinning disc, static electricity, cardboard blocks, building cardboard race cars, and the stop motion movie making. It is a small but mighty place that's well worth a stop if in the city. Plus it's right next to the Spokane Falls, River Park Square Mall, and Riverside Park. So much to do all in one place!

This place is packed with fun and educational activities for all ages - there are interactive exhibits that let you explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math; a robotics lab featuring cutting-edge technology; an impressive 3D printing studio; various workshops ranging from coding to paper engineering; and a variety of seasonal events that bring everyone in the community together. We have been members for years and our kids are always eager to come back for more.

This was my first time at the new Mobius Science Center and it was awesome. I don't know who had more fun.....the adults or the kids. The reptile section is actually pretty cool. One of the lizards gave us a show but I really do think he was looking at his reflection and agreeing he was awesome. Great place to play around with the kids but get there early because it can get crowded and the wait to play can be long. Give it a go.....you will not be disappointed.

The Historical Flight at Kilo-7 is the size of two combined hangars and is a treasure trove of airworthy aircraft displays. Most of the staff are volunteers and are knowledgeable of the aircraft models and their specific history. They feature restored aircrafts such as the T-6 Texan, P-51 Mustang, B-25 Mitchell Bomber, and even a DC-3. Each plane has its own story and the display perfectly captures their journeys. Entrance is $15. They offer flights for purchase onboard their restored aircrafts, which also includes an annual membership to the museum and two guest passes for museum visits. I've flown on the DC-3, T-6 Texan, and the Beaver. The DC-3 was originally owned by CNAC. The current livery is now a retro Pan American Airways. The interior is in a plush 20 seat configuration and passengers are treated to the nostalgia of the golden age of flight. The T-6 Texan flight is an opposite contrast. The aircraft is very responsive and the rudder controls are on point. This aircraft was used as a military trainer and now lives a pampered life with the foundation. Getting in and out of the cockpit is quite the experience and recommend wearing jeans for this flight. The aircraft is fully restored inside and out.

I did a self-guided tour and still learned a lot about the Campbell family, the stories behind the house, and how locals helped restore it. The house feels like stepping back into the early 1900s, with so much attention to detail in the furniture and decor. Every room has something to notice. I kept taking photos everywhere because it's honestly so beautiful, I just can't stop. If you're in Spokane, this is one of those places you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend especially if you love history or want to entertain your family/friends while you're here.

This is part of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture. The entry is $12 and if you are AAA, you get $1 off. I gave the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture 2 stars and I will give Campbell House 3 stars. While this is a historical house and it is a nice piece of history, the price value to allotted time is lacking in my opinion. We arrived at 11:55 and waited outside on the porch till it opened because it was raining. The employees opened the doors at noon and welcome us in, but the rest of the staff was running a bit late. While the employees are standing guard, they won't really talk unless you approach them and ask questions. And then some of our questions, they did not know the answer. We walked the house and read what signs we could and left.

So just keep in mind that you are in for an adventure and everything should be viewed skeptically and with a healthy dose of rural Idaho grace. We came for the cave, and walked away shocked by the museum. Idaho's Mammoth Cave is located near Shoshone ID. You'll take H-75 and see two options to the left to get to the caves. The first left is a smaller, bumpier road, so I suggest waiting for the second turn. You'll pull into what looks like a bunch of dumpy outbuildings and a giant round hut. Turns out...it is a bunch of dumpy outbuildings and a giant round hut. There are tons of falling down structures and old farm equipment, dotted by giant rock heads and strutting peacocks. This place also stylizes itself as a bird sanctuary, but we only saw peacocks. A lot of peacocks. You'll go into the giant hut, which is the entrance to the cave and to the "museum". We were greeted by a kind young man who gave us his canned introduction of the place, handed us a lantern and pointed us to the cave. Unfortunately this place is not ADA compliant. The path down to the cave is a dirt path, pretty steeply sloped. The entrance to the cave has steps and the cave itself has very uneven walking paths and is rather narrow at a few points. You will immediately feel a temperature drop. The cave trail is only about 1/4 of a mile, but you lose the outside light quickly. Definitely keep your lantern on and don't turn it off on your unsuspecting partner who will shriek, hit you, and then wrestle the lantern away. :) The cave is cool, with some homespun signs with some (questionable) information. After exploring the cave, you'll return to the surface along the same path. Then you can explore the "museum". I put this in quotes, because it's more a freaky curated collection of things. There are three concentric circles that you will navigate to see SO. MANY. THINGS. Many of them fake, some of them probably pilfered, and all of them so dusty. You will see a lot of taxidermy. No doubt those things are legit. I have serious doubts about the dinosaur bones and ancient artifacts. There is no attempt to protect any of the artifacts and my historian's heart was screaming at the lack of order, proper dating and classification, and controlled containment. Regardless of the legitimate status of this place, it is a true Idaho experience. Owned by a private family, out in the middle of the high desert, with zero attempt to pander to the masses. This place screams Idaho and is absolutely worth a visit.
