This museum is a real gem hidden in plane sight - pun intended! The place looks small on the outside, but it houses a substantial amount of vintage aircraft in close quarters. You can really get up close and personal with these beauties. It is a rather eclectic collection with a mix of WWII and newer planes with a few jeeps and buses thrown in the mix. There is also a beautiful DC-3 parked behind the hangar that is open for viewing. Just make sure to watch out for ice! The admission fee is rather steep, but the opportunity to see so many up close is a real draw. It is really cramped in the hangar, so watch out for wings and propellers hitting you or your family. They also offer an enhanced annual membership which includes a ride in one of the vintage planes. That would be a real treat! The Historic Flight Foundation is a nice addition to the already nice Paine Field aviation experience and a real competitor to downtown Seattle.

We drove to the area for the Boeing Factory Tour, and drove past this building and stopped in with a bit of curiosity. Housed in a large building are planes from 1927 to 1957, the "Golden Age of Flight." The ticket price looked a bit steep ($15/adult) and we had the option of a self-guided tour OR a docent guided tour. We went with the guided tour and Mark was a GREAT guide - smart, fun, a little entertaining and able to answer our questions. I enjoyed the order in which he took us (oldest to newest) and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was also fun to get up close and personal with these relatively small aircraft, be able to peer into the cockpits and get under the wings. While visitors couldn't get into planes, we sure were able to get up close and personal. Finally, this helped us get a perspective on the big, wide-body planes we were about to see on the Boeing Factory tour. I recommend going on this first, and then head to the Boeing Factory Tour!

I did a self-guided tour and still learned a lot about the Campbell family, the stories behind the house, and how locals helped restore it. The house feels like stepping back into the early 1900s, with so much attention to detail in the furniture and decor. Every room has something to notice. I kept taking photos everywhere because it's honestly so beautiful, I just can't stop. If you're in Spokane, this is one of those places you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend especially if you love history or want to entertain your family/friends while you're here.

This is part of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture. The entry is $12 and if you are AAA, you get $1 off. I gave the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture 2 stars and I will give Campbell House 3 stars. While this is a historical house and it is a nice piece of history, the price value to allotted time is lacking in my opinion. We arrived at 11:55 and waited outside on the porch till it opened because it was raining. The employees opened the doors at noon and welcome us in, but the rest of the staff was running a bit late. While the employees are standing guard, they won't really talk unless you approach them and ask questions. And then some of our questions, they did not know the answer. We walked the house and read what signs we could and left.
