I did a self-guided tour and still learned a lot about the Campbell family, the stories behind the house, and how locals helped restore it. The house feels like stepping back into the early 1900s, with so much attention to detail in the furniture and decor. Every room has something to notice. I kept taking photos everywhere because it's honestly so beautiful, I just can't stop. If you're in Spokane, this is one of those places you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend especially if you love history or want to entertain your family/friends while you're here.

This is part of the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture. The entry is $12 and if you are AAA, you get $1 off. I gave the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture 2 stars and I will give Campbell House 3 stars. While this is a historical house and it is a nice piece of history, the price value to allotted time is lacking in my opinion. We arrived at 11:55 and waited outside on the porch till it opened because it was raining. The employees opened the doors at noon and welcome us in, but the rest of the staff was running a bit late. While the employees are standing guard, they won't really talk unless you approach them and ask questions. And then some of our questions, they did not know the answer. We walked the house and read what signs we could and left.

The museum was located just blocks from the Red Lion Hotel. Although quite small, the museum was packed with pictures, items and stories of Post Falls from the past. You can't help but be inthralled with the items that are displayed, if you aren't already. But the stories and info that Ted, one of the volunteers and also a member of the Historical Society Board, share with us of how the town came to be until this day. You will be fascinated with some of the facts of Post Falls. We happen to be the only ones in the museum after a couple of people left so we had a one on one tour with Ted which was splendid because I'm sure he shared with us a lot more than if the placed were spilled with visitors. If you are in town, please stop by. There are no fees to take the tour of the museum, but donations are greatly appreciated. Ted was very kind and absolutely knowledgeable. Please stop in and get an ear full of some great history of Post Falls. The place is clean and set up nicely. One story, and mostly wide walking areas so easy to tour.

We've been to these types of local museums where the people volunteering/working just weren't into it. That wasn't the case here. The local items and points of interest are something for which they can be proud, and they are. The museum is located in a very small historic district that has a walking trail nearby. Very cute. We'll be back.
