Hoya kerrii (outer variegation) in full bloom

For a plant collector and hobbyist this was an unexpected delight. Our group was visiting Spokane from STL/MIA. Lots of old large specimens displayed, the desert section was my favorite and I spent easily half an hour in there taking pictures. Plenty of cacti, succulents, aroids, orchids, flowering ornamentals, and my favorite genus, Hoya!

Cute conservatory and gardens! It's a fun place to stop and take in the beauty of the unique flowers and plants. It was a great place to get out of the cold and snow! It kinda makes you slow down for a minute and just enjoy the flowers. I like sitting on the bench and just reflecting on life. Who doesn't like a free therapeutic experience?

This place was stunning. I am a huge tropical plant fan, so I was in heaven! They had a few variegated monsteras, a 113 year-old Christmas cactus, and more. I could have spent hours inside. Admission is free, which is a huge plus.

I went to the Gaiser Conservatory because it's the only place in town I could find that had lots flowers this time of year in Spokane, WA. I was taking close-up pictures for part of my homework assignment from my photography class on "depth of field." As I was about to walk in the door I saw a sign that says "Tripods are not permitted in the conservatory." Not being able to use a tripod makes close-up photography in not-so-great light a lot more difficult. Maybe next time I'll bring a mono-pod! :) The flowers were beautifal, and many of the areas had good light in spite of the cloud cover from the rain. If you're going to be taking pictures, be careful! In many places waters drips and runs from the ceiling and hanging plants. My camera almost got wet a few times. And even though it's weather sealed, why take extra chances?

" The Most Beautiful Plants I Have Ever Seen " My wife and I visited the Gaiser Conservatory in Spokane Washington last week and truly enjoyed our visit. The conservatory is located in Manito Park, and sits near the Duncan Garden area. The Conservatory plants are the prettiest and most well maintained garden, I have ever seen. After walking through and viewing the gorgeous flowers and cactus plants, you really start to relax. Its a very peaceful place to visit. Absolutely a must see when you are visiting the Spokane area.

There was a cool breeze through the canopies on a very warm day and garbage cans to dispose of our leftovers. When we stumbled upon the gorgeous flower gardens, I could not believe it. There were multiple gardeners working outside of the conservatory and although it was closed, I can't imagine that there was anything more beautiful inside than what we saw outside. We were able to sit over at the benches and rally enjoy the fountain and manicured flowers. There was a large, veryrude family that did come through who wanted to scream at their kids and then try to take photographs in front of the flowers like a happy family. Then allow their smaller children to stomp through the flowers and scream loudly while they stared at their phones. And there were of course at least two young ladies posing for "the gram" that picked flowers and made obnoxious gestures in ridiculously skimpy clothes... I guess those types of things can't be helped these days and they are no reflection on the garden itself, just be prepared for your peace to be interrupted. We also made a quick stop at the Rose garden which I did not find to be quite as beautiful but smelled lovely... There were just too many bugs and it was there were just too many bugs and it was far too warm to spend much time there. If I lived closer to this park, I would come everyday to listen to the sound of the fountain and appreciate the beauty of the topiaries and flowers and I would recommend a stop here for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature.

Richard delivered on all of these and then some. During the process, he continued to consult with us and kept us informed of his schedule. We greatly appreciated his flexibility in allowing us to complete some of the work ourselves and the tips he provided to us along the way. For the few sub-contractors he used, Richard was always on site and oversaw their work. The pride he takes in his work is very evident. No detail is too small. His design complimented the style of our home and expanded our living space to the outdoors which is something we always longed for. We continue to marvel at how perfectly he balanced the use of steel and rock with the softness of each plant choice and placement. So many neighbors and passersby have stopped to chat and express their interest and inquire about Richard's work. Anyone would be lucky to work with him.

We arrived around 5:30pm and left around 8. When we arrived we immediately felt warm and cozy. The vibes are absolutely immaculate! There are plants and cute decor everywhere and the lighting is really soothing. We were shown to a table in the back that was more private and it really felt like we had our own little garden that we were hanging out in. The server was very nice and friendly. Both she and the other server or bartender were friendly and attentive. We ordered a bunch of drinks throughout the night. I had two pinky promises because I don't drink and they were absolutely delicious. They have some great mocktail options to choose from! We also got the hummus board and the bites board and they were fantastic! The hummus board had two rotating hummus options - one was a normal hummus and the other was a beet hummus. The pita chips seemed freshly made and were AMAZING. I wish I could take a bag to go with me! The bites board was also amazing and had some delicious cheeses. We asked to have the meats replaced with other things to make it vegetarian and it was fantastic. They should add it as a menu item, we loved every bit of it! It didn't feel like it had substitutions at all. We loved every second of our time there and kept saying how we wished it was local to us. This place is an absolute gem and I hope it gets more traction because of how wonderful it is. If I ever visit Spokane again I will absolutely be back here!

The charcuterie and hummus plates were nice, and ample servings for our whole table. Our small group had a great experience, and I truly hope more people will recognize what a gem this place is!

After that we were able to build our little bowl on our own without any interruption, which was a very nice and relaxing addition to our date. When we were done we brought our bowl up to the counter and Rio gushed about how gorgeous it was, which was very nice of him :'D He got us set up to pay quickly and efficiently and ready to head home with our new green friends! The store itself is a bit smaller than the pictures on yelp suggest, but they had a good selection of houseplants, and especially air plants. They had some huge ones that I could hardly fathom! Plus the atmosphere of the Saranac Commons was really hip, so you could make a whole day there if you were so inclined. All in All, I hope to be back that way again sometime to get some more friends!
