But the picking was still very good and the fragrance and taste can't be beat! We wrote down how much we picked in their log book and paid by honor system. It was such a lovely, small town, family-ran farm and much more pleasant than the commercialism that has taken over Greenbluff in the past decade or two. I am so happy to have found (technically 2) local farms close by and I don't have to drive over state borders

They have a wonderful play area that includes a corn pit (like a sandbox but filled with corn kernels, the kids love it!), a fun hamster wheel they can run in, and a pallet maze that's pretty legit. There are also some friendly farm animals the kids can look at and pet, plus a plastic duck race that you have to pay for a duck to use. There are lots of food vendors with delicious options, I def recommend the baked potato... it's HUGE! The pumpkin patch itself is nice but if you're not in the mood to go hunting through the fields, they also have bins full of pumpkins ready to choose from. There was even a live performance, a bounce house, and a giant inflatable slide.. which is a hit with the kids as well! The orchards are beautiful and perfect for taking fall family pictures. They also have a store, they sell some amazing desserts! Service in the stores is great, they can get really busy, so there can be lines at times.

I love that they have a big barn with cute farmhouse chic items for sale. This is super inviting. The staff has always been eager to educate you on proper ways to pick cherries, how to find the best ones and any information you care to know. The steady ladders spread throughout the orchard make picking a breeze. There are fun cutouts for photo ops, lots of beautiful places that are insta-worthy. Speaking of Instagram, they have a beautiful Instagram account to follow as well. Make sure to stop by for the best raspberries and peaches on the bluff, too!

When we checked out... we placed about a dozen plums in a paper bag to purchase also. $105+ WE WILL NOT RETURN TO CHERRY HILL ORCHARD FOR OUR FRUIT. We have friends that bought many more boxes of peaches than we did, that they did not pick themselves... and they paid much less. We are switching to a more fair priced orchard.

When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who took us out back and began to explain his growing techniques. I Love that he was playing music for his plants and his farm was so peaceful and beautiful and you can really taste the love he gives his plants. He explained how he works on planting companion flowers with his vegetables to keep the pests away and I thought that was an amazing natural way. We were then showed around by one of his helpers who was very helpful and nice (can't remember her name but she was awesome) The veggies we bought were the best I've ever had and we will definitely be going back again soon and all season long.

She let us sample the broccoli and it was the best tasting broccoli I've ever had! There are no gimmicks at the farm, but that allowed them to focus more wholeheartedly on the quality of the food.

I had been keeping my eyes peeled for a produce stand and was excited to find this place! This little store is pretty old-school. It's run by a sweet older gentleman and features many varieties of fruit, veggies, and a limited selection of groceries. Many of his items seem to be "seconds" (perhaps bruised fruit, or a veggie a little past its prime) but the prices make a stop here worth it if you're willing to dig around for the good stuff (or just cut off the "bad" parts when you get home). I bought a HEAP of fruit and veggies here and only spent $15. Wheeler's is cash only, so keep that in mind if you stop. And be sure to ask him about the cool antique phone on the counter - it still works!

What a great experience! We visited Seven Stars Ranch while…read moreon a two week vacation in Coeur d'Alene. This was my 3 year old daughter's most memorable experience. She keeps talking about the "talking" alpacas (they hum) and getting to pet mini horses and donkeys. The ranch is beautiful and so well kept. We also discovered that they have an Airbnb on site and a few trailer/RV spots with water and electricity hook ups. Although there is no drainage for septic, we were told that the nearest gas station does have a dump station for super cheap. They are also set up for events. In my opinion it would be a beautiful spot for a rustic wedding We were guided through the ranch by one of the sons of the owners, who was very kind and gave us a brief family history and how the farm started. Then we helped release the Alpacas, a lama and some sheep out to pasture. Then we were allowed to explore the farm and visit with all the animals. I highly recommend this tour for all ages, even my husband and our teenage nephew had a blast. And don't forget to visit their adorable little gift shop that has beautiful alpa wool souvenirs.

As for Greenbluff, I dont get there too often, but I have always have a good time when I go there. I've been to the Apple Cider celebration. I had a good time too. The apples they raise there are just wonderful. I went to the peach festival too, and had a wonderful time. I think Greenbluff is a wonderful and productive area for Spokane.

My Waze GPS pin was a little off, traveling west on E Piper, entrance was a noticeable bit farther than the pin, but easy to locate as the business has good signage. I listened in as the customer ahead of me received hands-on blueberry sorting instruction after completing her pick and the customer after received the lowdown on best approach for u-pick. I purchased a gallon of picked blueberries with 2 varieties to choose from, both were BIG, beautiful, juicy and delicious. Price was per lb and preferred purchase is by the gallon, blueberries are picked, sorted and refrigerated for easy pick up. Chuck was helpful, friendly and efficient, and the setup is quite tidy and organized. I'll be back.
