There are many things one can look for in a winery to give it high ratings. Some places have amazing settings. And some places have amazing product. To say V du V has an amazing product is perhaps an understatement. V du V has THE best wine we've tried anywhere thus far on our Spokane wine trek. We tasted many of their wines, including their white blend, pinot rose, malbec (which was a surprisingly different malbec than anywhere else we've been locally), syrah, cabernet franc, and a huge cabernet sauvignon. Each wine was unique in taste, and across the board I was blown away by how aromatic the wines were. It has been a long time where I've encountered a wine that appeals so strongly to the nose. The owners were both friendly and proud of their product, which we've found to be a sign of a great product. Almost unfailingly, the more in tune with the product and the customers, the better the overall quality is. The owners, John and Kirk, nail that on every front. We ended up coming home with the cabernet sauvignon and white blend (which is unlike any white I've ever had in any state or country, to be honest), but I know we will be back. V du V easily makes the short list of places to bring out of town guests to try the best of all the awesome things Spokane has to offer!

When I visited here I saw exotic tress, caladiums, and quite a number of cactus, but all told I didn't see anything particularly new or compelling.   Tip: This Conservatory is very close to a really beautiful formal garden with wide staircase that leads down to the entrance.  You might want to plan time to visit both if you're going to come here :-)

Leading up to grand opening, I would pop by and try to get a glimpse through the windows of how it was taking shape. When it finally opened, I was blown away at the aesthetic of the store and their attention to detail. Even on their first day open when there were understandably kinks to still work out, quality was impressively high. That being said, my initial impression was that their prices were also on the high side, which was a little disappointing. Just went back a couple months later, and had a wonderful experience. Enjoyed a delicious organic cup of coffee - hard to find - along with some yummy pastries from Chaps and Alpine Deli that they had in their case. Even though it was early morning, when I learned that their sushi selection was provided by the owners of a nice sushi restaurant in town, I had to try some yellowtail sashimi as well. Was excellent! Had a nice conversation with Matt, the meat department manager. He clearly cared about the quality of the products he put on his shelves. I walked out with some reasonably priced Wagyu steaks. Decided to try some kiwi berries for the first time, something they offer in their exotic fruit section - super delicious. In walking by the dairy case, I loved seeing some local raw milk options now stocked, (although the price was notably higher than at other local grocery stores for the exact same product). At the end of the day, my excitement was reborn for this new hometown market. They are well-staffed with friendly people, maintain an inviting atmosphere, and have created a natural gathering place for our community. I still think there is room for them to straddle the line of quality and affordability a little better, especially in their grocery departments, but based upon the great effort I've seen so far, I expect them to continue to improve in this area. Impressive launch for what I hope and believe will become a valuable community cornerstone. Highly recommend!

We love how dog-friendly the deck is. Initially the service was on the slow side but it improved as time went on. My only complaint is that the upcharge for gluten-free adjustments is higher than is typical.
