After my daughter cracked the screen of my wife's iPad Mini we knew it was going to be a hustle, nevertheless we could never imagine it was going to be that terrible.
A colleague recommended this guy to me, "he comes to your place, or your job to fix your iPad" he said, trusting his referral I called Josh to come to my work place and fix the iPad Mini screen. He came and worked for more than an hour, from time to time we heard some banging (I didn't know then the screen of an iPad Mini is not screwed in any way but fusion with the iPad), after he was done he gave me the iPad which I gave to my wife who happened to come to my job excited of getting her device back, she could not test it (sadly) since the battery level was at 2%, and our two kids of two and five were driving all of us crazy. At home and after fully charging the iPad she realized it had "ghost touches", we decided to take it to apple. At the apple store they explained to us how they fusion the screen and the iPad and told us they would exchange the product just by paying them $250 but since it was opened they wouldn't be able to do anything for us. Moreover, I called Josh the MobileiPhoneGuy and left a message... then another... and another, after a couple of weeks I get an email from him apologizing since he's been very busy. I gave him that, even though I consider myself a very busy person being a father of two, working and studying a master in business at USC; so I wrote a polite email to Josh explaining what had happened lately, he promised a call the following day... After 5 days I wrote him another email, this time the tone was different, it was more demanding, he replied with a copy of his repair disclosure (the one you get AFTER the repair is done) in addition to a couple of lines that really upset us, keep in mind we were planning to simply let it go at this time, on this lines he wrote that he tried the iPad and gave it to my wife who tried it too!, he added that if anything happened to the iPad was not because of his doing. That really ignited us since this childish and irresponsible answer shows no empathy, no intention to do what is right. Instead of taking care of his doing, Josh chose to hide behind an after fact disclosure and all of a sudden blame it on us. This sad outcome will be followed by a small claim against him.
I would never recommend someone like him for anything, if you see him around grab your wallet and run the other way. read more
