I had been quoted a price of $250. The higher price was because I requested the use of OEM parts. The gentleman at the shop took it and was giving it a thorough inspection. He asked me what I had been quoted and then said lI think I'm going to save you some money. He peeled of the glass protective cover. the screen wasn't broken, it was the protective cover! He put on a new one and charged me $5.00. A dishonest business could have easily told me to come back in an hour and charged me the original quoted price. I would have been none the wiser. Obviously being suddenly locked out of your phone with all the calendar reminders and being unable to use your phone as an actual phone stinks. I called at 5pm on a Friday evening and they so happened to have an S10e display and said if I got there by 5:30 they would have it done before closing at 7pm. Sure enough that is how it went. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was worth the cost to repair a still very good phone and not lose everything.
