I spoke with Rob, the owner of the company, when I was having a series back up issues within the piping in my RV's kitchen sink.

This is where the frustration began. There was some pretty significant damage to part of the wrap during transport, and that was fine, it was going to be getting fixed... we were told it was ordered and given an approx. date. That date came and apparently it was not ordered, but another part we needed was. To get that taken care of was beyond frustrating. Upon picking it up, another part we needed was not ready, so again we would have to drive down and drop it off. Even after this last drop off, after making the appointment because we were called and told the part was ready, the part is not ready and we have to wait some unknown time for it to "hopefully" show up. Each time we have brought our RV in for maintenance/ to get a repair, we have never been greeted. As well when we went to pick it up. Each time we have stood inside and not one person has asked if we needed help or even said they would be right with us. Most times there were at least 2 people not with someone, and many other staff walking in and out. When dropping it of, most staff sat at their desks starring out as we unhooked- it would have been better worth our time, if we could have been checked in while we unhooked. (We even received a call to do a survey about how service went and we did not have the trailer finished yet, so it is hard to give feedback for that.) We had several more conversations with the service department and a few more survey calls which, because we did not have the service complete, we could not give feed back properly. Upon our last pick up, after all the parts had arrived, we finally had a better encounter. I completely understand that they are busy with so many trailers to check in, work on and check out, but it would be nice to be have a little more support when showing up.

This review is about the sales staff and lack of communications at Camping World Vacaville…read more Have driven 150 miles r/t to pick up our used RV three times and it's still not ready. They have a serious internal communication problem. Purchased 5/5/26. Appt was set for 5/9 9am to pick it up. Arrived to find they were still waiting for parts. Set another appt for 5/18. On 5/17 we asked our salesman if it was ready but were told they wouldn't be able to check until service dept opened the same time we were scheduled to pick it up, but he believed it would be ready. He texted us as we arrived that it was not ready. Made another appt for 5/26. Salesman told us 5/25 he had personally verified it was ready to go. On walkthrough we came up with 10 items still not finished (from the windshield not being replaced to the rig not having enough diesel for us to verify the generator was working). We had paid for the extra detailing and the rig was still dirty. So we've driven 450 miles, spent 8 hours on the road, $170+ on gas, and 7+ hours at Camping World and still don't have the RV we paid for. Oh, and the warrantee & Good Sam membership is ticking down because all that starts on the day you make the purchase. If they manage to make this right I will update this review. UPDATE: We were able to pick up the RV on the 4th try. The new mattress (standard on all RVs purchased from CW) was the wrong one. Salesman told us we needed to jerry-rig it ourselves to make it fit. We pushed back and were directed to the service desk. They instantly saw the problem and ordered the correct mattress (still waiting on it). The general manager offered us $200 max in compensation for the issues picking up the RV. 45 min later he said upper management said to make that $700. That feels like a good amount for the money & time we wasted so we accepted. Last issue: The flat tow package we had agreed on (to be installed on our car) was switched to a tow dolly without talking to us. It's huge, doesn't store vertically, and doesn't fit in our garage. We were shell-shocked and stupidly left with the item, so I doubt there is any chance they'll ever fix it.

Bait & Switch! I actually didn't realize this kind of thing still happened…read more They had a travel trailer listed online as "on sale" for a good discount but the sale price was still within a normal asking price for that year and model so I called to confirm it was available before heading out. We drove 2.5 hours to take a look. A gentleman named Norville, listed as the Sales Manager on their website, showed us the trailer. Before checking anything out I confirmed the listed price online with him and he said "oh yeah, we don't like to babysit these units so we price them to move fast". We spent 45 minutes or so checking everything out on the trailer and decided to buy it. When we're signing the paperwork, I declined their $5000 "service plan" (over 20% of the cost of the trailer) and offered $1k less than their asking price on the trailer, which I thought was reasonable offer. We finished up the initial paperwork and he left to ask the Sales Manager (or is it the Sales Manager Manager?) about the offer, only to return with "bad news folks, we made a mistake on the price online actually, the price is $7000 MORE than what we listed it for online.. sorry about that." Now, mistakes happen, I get that, but they made zero effort to correct this mistake and instead just demanded the full amount. The unnamed Sales Manager Manager didn't even come out to apologize for this so-called mistake. Maybe they thought since we'd invested our whole day into it already and were set on buying it, they thought we'd still go for it. Maybe they pull this stunt on folks who decline insanely priced services plans. Who knows If this were truly a mistake they should have attempted to make it right. I would have even come up from their listed asking price a bit if they acted in good faith. A company of this size should have owned this mistake and made it right, even if it meant they didn't make a bunch of profit off of us. That was their mistake to correct, not ours. We will never shop another El Monte RV location again and will actively warn everyone we know to steer clear of this shady operation. I'll also be filing a complaint with the CA DMV and CA DOJ regarding false advertising practices.

Staff is very nice and we did bring it in just before Memorial Day so we knew we would probably have a wait. All we needed was generator oil change, checking the water pump and battery load, looking at the tires sensors, checking the roof and a wash. They said we needed new tape on top to keep the solar panels in place and couldn't find anything wrong with the pump. We got it back after three weeks and on the walk-through were actually told that the guys took all the old tape off and cleaned it up when they didn't even need to do that but they thought it was a water repellent issue which it wasn't. So who knows how much extra time went to that at $175 an hour or so. We also noticed later that we didn't get the tire valve caps back and I went to turn on the air conditioner unit in the 96° heat in downtown Saceamento and they had not turned the switch back on for that in the generator. That meant that after consulting with AI during a work event, I I was crawling under the RV in downtown Sacramento on the street to open the generator cover and flip the switch. The work overall cost $1100. Obviously, we did not think it was particularly affordable, convenient and we're not pleased with the handling of the relatively simple items on our list. There's another place not too far from us and a highly rated mobile technician as well that maybe we'll try next time. ARV business model involves multiple different technicians working on the van, which is why it takes so long, but in addition to the inconvenience we just got pretty mixed results on the work.
