We lost 2 babies (feline) right before Christmas. Our 1st baby to go was Maxi, he was 8 1/2 and we had him since he was 4 weeks old. He had been hospitalized at the Vet for a couple of days for kidney failure. The treatment was affecting his heart so there was nothing more that could be done. We brought him home with the intention of euthanizing at home, but he passed within 20 minutes of getting here. We called Mobile Pet Cremations to pick him up and they were here within 40 minutes. The gentleman that picked him up was very respectful and professional. Five days later, our eldest, Blackcat age 17, lost her will to live. We think that she wanted look after Maxi on the other side of the rainbow bridge, so that he wasn't alone. The ER vet told us that she had kidney failure, pancreatitis, and liver issues. We called Mobile Pet Cremations, so that we can euthanize her at home. Dr. Chris was at our house within 30 minutes, mind you this was Christmas Eve evening. He was very professional, kind and sympathetic to our situation. We didn't want her to see him, as he was a stranger and she would've been scared. So he was able to stay out of sight while she calmly went to sleep forever. He let us mourn our loss in private before taking her gently to be cremated alongside Maxi. On New Year's Day, our babies were hand-delivered back home in little cedar boxes and their paw print on a ceramic disc.
