Minutes later I was rekaxinf in a chair with a needle in my arm. At 8:07a I was sitting in my truck writing this review. I would totally come here again for any labs. They are quick and efficient. The staff were smiling this early in the morning. Who does that???... except me! Lol. Accessible parking and entrance.

The receptionist just sits on a chair and directs people to the kiosk. A sign would surely save a salary. I was called in a fairly timely manner, information was exchanged and blood was drawn. One of the tests was a 24 hour Urinalysis Sample. I was given the container and both written and oral instructions. The two most important were... don't collect the sample on Saturday as we are closed on Sunday and please "drop it off" at any location within 30 minutes of completing the test. The concept of "drop it off" is lost on Sonora Quest. All the receptionist knows how to say is "use the kiosk", you need to sign in on the kiosk, choose "drop off a sample" and then sit down and wait, and wait, and wait. Since you didn't have an appointment, things are not in your favor. Finally a technician comes out, blurts out your name and you get to follow them to a small room. There you also get to answer questions about your sample. All the same as you were instructed, days prior. After answering "YES" to numerous questions and verifying the information on the small label the technician printed out you are free to leave. This is NOT "drop it off" this is return it and wait. Another 30 minutes of my life I won't get back. Remember that when dealing with Sonora Quest, your time does not matter.

Following is an example of how they operate: Yesterday mid day I received an email stating Mom's blood draw was scheduled for noon today. Then at 4:25 yesterday afternoon I received another email and text stating the appointment had been moved to 9 am. I immediately called and the phone was answered by an unprofessional sounding young woman who took over 10 minutes to locate the appointment. She then informed me it was too late to change it. I told her the 9 am time would not work and why. She said she'd send a message to someone (not sure who). Subsequently I texted, called, left a voicemail message, and sent an email requesting contact. No response. Fast forward to this morning. At 7:39 I received a text stating the technician was on his way. 30 seconds later I received a text stating work was finished. I immediately called and left another voicemail asking that someone contact me about scheduling. No one has. So to recap: this company scheduled an early appointment for the next day. I called within 15 minutes but they refused to change it, even though the time scheduled was their mistake. Then they showed up unannounced almost 90 minutes earlier than that! Wow. I've given this company 2 stars only because so far they haven't screwed up the actual blood draw. But as far as scheduling is concerned they seem to care more about their own convenience than that of my Mom. They literally just show up whenever they want.

I contacted the insurance company, confirmed that behavioral health services are covered at 100%, and covered fully at this facility. Later received another call from the facility regarding insurance, and again explain that I verified the coverage. The process surrounding insurance and payment felt unnecessarily confusing. The lobby experience was a bit chaotic. This location appears to serve a wide variety of community needs, and I recognize the value of that. There is a hydration station, pharmacy services, security, and even a Narcan vending machine, which I genuinely appreciate seeing available and accessible. The lobby is large, loud, and busy, while the staff behind the glass speak so quietly that both of us repeatedly struggled to hear what was being said. There was also a constant flow of activity. The actual assessment was conducted with someone appearing remotely on a tablet. For something as personal as behavioral health, I find that setup incredibly disconnected (for me). The staff members were pleasant enough, and I recognize that this facility provides important services to people in the community. If I were independently choosing behavioral health care, I would look for a smaller, calmer, more personal environment where the experience feels centered around the individual... for me. This was a required box to check, and it was checked.

Sadly, many of the clientele appear to be extremely vulnerable folk with limited choices. I realized that I had a choice. I heartily recommend that you avoid Terros. This place is toxic.
