I really had issues with the infotainment system MIS installed on my 2020 pathfinder in November. Apparently MIS will no longer work with the company that made the replacement system due to the excessive issues. After speaking with Jeff, post me losing my cool with Andrew, he found a different system that had to be custom made to work. So in Jan, MIS took out the failed system that they installed and replaced it with a modified system that functions perfectly. They worked to fix a problem that was not an install issue. It was a component issue. It took time and they got it right. Since they were willing to work with me and provided me a functional infotainment system I had them also install a front and rear dash cam system. I really appreciate the customer care. Got an auto starter installed by Best Buy a few years ago and have always had problems with it. Not only did it crap out after 1.5 years, but the person who installed it left my car computer dangling by the gas pedals, and the remote only worked within 50 feet. To make it all somehow worse: when I made the appointment that October, they were booked out till January. My appointment finally comes, and I get a call saying that the technician has COVID and the earliest they can see me is March. So I went the whole winter I had expected to have an auto starter with no auto starter... Turbo Tim's recommended this place to me since they don't do auto starter's, and I am THRILLED with my experience. They had appointments within a few days, the prices are incredibly fair for great models that include the price of installation, the technicians were friendly and super knowledgeable, the starter actually works as advertised, they left my car in better shape than they found it (by putting my computer in its place), and I got a discount because they were able to reuse some pieces from my old starter. Could not have asked for a better experience and will be recommending this place to anyone looking for an auto starter. read more

I had my system installed here and also bought a new amp from them. The install was super clean, and my subs were hitting hard--until they blew later that day. That wasn't on Mobile Installations though--that was on me for using low-quality subs. Even so, I came back the next day, and they went above and beyond. They gave me a discount on a new set of subs and re-tuned the whole setup for free. Top-tier service. If you're planning to invest in a serious sound system, these are the only guys I'd recommend. Huge shoutout to Andrew--he was helpful from start to finish and made the whole experience easy. read more

I wanted to make sure I left a great review for this company! Not only did they work with me on getting me scheduled during a very busy time, but they got me in fast and got my car remote start install promptly and efficiently! This was my 1st remote start and the technician that helped me took the time to go over every step of how or what was needed to ensure I understood what I need to do. I highly recommend this company if anyone is looking for a positive review and product. read more

Jeff and Dan are great at what they do. I was asking about one brand of subs and they told me a better brand. (Ground Zero) I got two 15s, custom made box, amp and an extra battery. When I picked up my car, Dan said those subs hammer. He wasn't kidding. These bad boys don't play around. I'm glad I made the choice to go to Mobile Installations. They will give you what you want: excellent service. Big ups to the whole installation team as well. read more

They eventually got around to making a small effort to return my inquiry but buy the time they felt like I was willing to wait it out I had already found another installer that was willing to take care of my needs They might be okay if you don't have a time frame for them to respond but if you have a warranty issue then they might not be the best choice for you to patronize read more

I contacted various places around the twin cities to get a compustar remote starter installed and many were booked out over a month in advance. I sent in an email to mobile installation service and was able to get an appointment two days later on my day off. When I went in they didn't have the remote starter that I wanted as it had been discontinued. The owner of this place not only gave me the newer and nicer version but he also honored the price from the remote starter that I was originally going to get. 100% would recommend coming here for fast appointments and friendly staff. Will be recommending this place to family and friends in the future. read more

I found out about Jeff and his team after another installer in Richfield said they only do Android mobile phone head units. Really? I sell Apple cases and wanted Apple's Car Play. Jeff installed an Alpine iLX 007. If you use iPhone 5 and above - don't wait, install this now. It is AWESOME. Works just like you would expect an apple device to work, intuitively and beautiful. Very clean install and they took extra care to make sure my microphone was mounted in the right spot. Which is tough as I have a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Siri is working perfect. Well as perfect as Siri can get ;) Fantastic group of folks, HIGHLY recommend. read more

Just went here again to get a christmas gift for my boyfriend installed in his car (brand new stereo...what can I say, best girlfriend ever). Amazing deal, and even though it was past the sale end date, they held on to the stereo that was originally on sale for me a few weeks later AND honored the sale price. What was also awesome was how they worked with us and our schedule the best they could (because they get BUSY), and even took the time to show my boyfriend how to properly use his brand new fancy car stereo. Couldn't think of a better place! Been toying with the idea of getting a remote starter for my car because Minnesota winters, so I'll probably be back soon! read more

I had a car starter put in my Dodge Avenger in October 2017. They were fast to get me in (within a week) and took a day to install. I only had one phone call interaction to schedule appointment/ask questions about the car starter I was interested in. They did try to upsell me on a longer range starter instead of fully focusing on what product I was interested in. The 2nd interaction was to pick up the vehicle I dropped off the night before. Business seems nice, simply paid and left. Fast interaction, I wouldn't say overly friendly but gets the job done. I wanted to wait until Minnesota's true winter cold weather came before I gave my opinion on the product, the starter has not once failed to start my car (even in the -40 degree weather). I would say overall the starter is great and I would suggest starting your research here to look into car starters. read more

These guys rock, they installed a full hertz system in my Jeep and knocked it out of the park. The installers stayed late and finished the system all out in roughly a day when it normally would've been a two day install. Best customer service. Would totally bring another vehicle to these guys even though I live in texas. Love them! Thanks especially Dan and Jeff! read more

Wouldn't go here again. Long story short, whomever installed my $1200 car stereo and $600 speakers completely butchered the job. I had to pay someone else to fix all the things that they messed up, which was basically everything. 4 hours later and over $600 extra, and my radio is finally working correctly. Some of my speakers didn't even have any sound coming out of them! And when adjusting the sound it's backwards, so front is back and back is front. My tweeters have no sound coming out of them either! And my subwoofer wasn't connected and neither was my amplifier. And the cover was never put back on my amp either, so it's just been exposed to everything. For such an expensive, nice system, it sounded like shit and barely worked at all. My radio constantly cut out when it was working. I should've just went somewhere originally because now it's costing me over $600 more to fix their mess. Although the owners are nice and probably know what they're doing, whomever installed my speakers and radio clearly did not know what they are doing. Beware when going here. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

Jeff and his team went out of their way to ensure the new radio for my daughter's car was put in before I left on a long trip to deliver it to her. He stayed late at a very busy time to make sure I was taken care of. The whole team was fun, professional and made sure I was comfortable while I waited and happy with my experience. This is the kind of service, professionalism and care I wish I received everywhere. Highly recommend. THANK YOU Mobile Install Team. Paige Karno read more

These guys are awesome. I took my boat in over the summer to get a new stereo installed. The previous owner had left a total rats nest of broken equipment/wires behind a dash panel. Mobile install cleaned it all up and installed the stereo I purchased online for a really reasonable price. When I arrived to pick it up, the owner said he didn't love the faceplate they put on the dash so had made a second one and was just finishing installing it himself which I appreciated. Everything looks great and the stereo worked well all summer. As I hooked up my boat I realized I left my trailer light extension at home and mentioned I would stop at Fleet Farm across the road. The owner proceeded to rewire the front of my boat trailer at no charge (staying 30 min past closing) saying he wanted to make sure I got home safe. Who offers this kind of customer service these days? At the risk of being even more long winded, I saw how the owner interacts with his staff. He had an awesome relationship with his employees and it seemed like a great place to work. Keep it up-it's great to support such a positive local small business. read more

Brought in my wife's car to have a new stereo installed. The installation went well, it was slightly complicated because of a module that was needed to maintain factory steering wheel controls. Thomas was the tech, great guy. Very comprehensive in his methodology to installation. I felt very comfortable bringing that vehicle and will bring another one again. Kudos to this place , definitely a serious recommendation for this place! read more

Excellent, professional, superior service! These guys care about treating their customers with respect, and they stand behind their products and service like few companies seem to these days. Had an i pod adapter installed & it wasn't working well with my car's navigations system, so they replaced it with another brand...which had some glitches also...but they were so accommodating in making sure I was satisfied & had a good, working product. They finally installed a third blue tooth adapter that works great. They were quick and responsive to all phone calls. I can't praise them enough for their superior service and attention to customer satisfaction! Highly recommend!!! read more

Tried to get a stereo installed with them they initially said that it would take 2 hours on a Saturday then a few days later they said it would take more than 3 and a half hours and they could not do it that Saturday. Kept trying to get me to come in on a weekday after I told him twice that I could not do that as I live an hour away and have to work on weekdays. would not recommend from the small interaction I had with them. read more

You can expect fantastic customer service, products & professionalism when dealing with Mobile Install. I have actually been coming here for quite some time now & I am always taken care of. I am very picky on who I let work on my car especially when it comes to any type of after market modifications to my ride. Jeff takes great pride in his work & no project is too big or small. I have had several modifications to my car made here including a cellular enabled remote start system, android based deck, GPS navigation, backup camera, speakers, subs, amps & even HID lightning. One thing I have learned over the years when dealing with other shops is that customer service is everything because if somethings goes wrong, you want a shop that is going to take care it for you which is exactly what Mobile Install does. They aren't just about the initial sale but the follow up service and support. Even if you don't know what you want, they will take the time to educate you on what is available to make sure you get exactly what works best for you. My original steering wheel controls even work to control my Android deck which runs Pandora wirelessly all without taking my hands off the wheel which all sounds absolutely amazing compare to the stock setup I had before. My setup is very clean & I look forward to doing even more modifications than I have done already which is quite a few now. Whatever your aftermarket needs are, you won't be disappointed! read more

Great service, very professional, and customer-focused. I had them install an aftermarket stereo and GPS in my recently-bought used Jeep Wrangler. I checked our a few places and chose this one because they knew what they were talking about and gave me great personal service. I was not disappointed. They did a first-rate job of helping me select the right equipment and installed it professionally and quickly. After i took it home and played with it, i couldn't make the cell phone interface work. IThey offered to meet me for an unscheduled quick visit back to the shop and the tech gave me full attention as he re-programmed my cell phone to solve the problem. As an "over-60" guy, his cheerful help was just what i needed. I'm delighted with the equipment they sold me and I rate their service as EXCELLENT. read more

I had my audio system installed during summer 2015. The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions. The installation process was also easy. I am very happy with their service. I recently was in a car accident this year (Early 2016) where my car was totaled and I needed to obtain a receipt for their services and the owner responded to me late at night even when he was out of town to address my issue. The next morning I had the receipts sent to me. I am very glad I choose these guys to do my audio system installation. I was going through a very busy time at work with lots of out of town travel, and winter was coming soon. I was able to drop off my truck in the evening, and pick it up on a Saturday while I traveled out of town which was very convenient. I was appraised along the way of progress, and I even made some custom requests that they accommodated, and then wisely recommended against after checking them with the size and shape of my specific vehicle. I needed a new in-dash stereo installed in an older car since the original had no aux feature. I decided to try M.I.S for this installation instead of Best Buy, and I am glad I did. This is the BEST place to go to for all your mobile installation services (hence the shop's name)!!! Talk about fast service, knowledgeable technicians, reasonable prices, customer service area with TV, free drinks, clean restroom, this place has it. They can do it all and do it right the first time! They take the time to listen to what you are saying and want done and they do it. Twice I've been there, once to have heated seats done and the second time to have a radio removed (which was installed at another shop - apparently by a 5 year old with no experience) and another radio installed in its place. And they did excellent work both times. They have no problem selling you what mechandise you're looking for or installing what you bring with you. And from my experience there is no difference in pricing. They can be quite busy at times, and you might have to wait a week or so for an appointment but IT'S WELL WORTH THE WAIT! You're making a huge mistake in going elsewhere!!!!!!! I worked with Steve at the customer service desk and Tommy who did the installation work. Two GREAT guys, who gave me the BEST customer service around! I am thankfull that I chose this shop for the work I wanted done. I intend to make this shop my go to place for all my mobile services from now on and you should too!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP AND THE PERSONNEL WORKING THERE! read more
