I'm sure just about every single install has a unique issue, and mine had some quirks but Eric was awesome.

Okay, I'm kinda stunned by the negative reviews on this site. My experience with Original Car Audio…read morecouldn't have been better. I bought a used 2008 Prius here in California last January, but there were CDs stuck in the player. Looked around for the best deal on a refurbished unit and they were it. Along with a reasonably priced and packed radio, they gave me good diagnostic advice. The radio works great. A couple of months ago, the navigation system went on the fritz. I called, expecting to exchange the radio, but they told me the problem was most likely the navigation DVD reader. When I received it, I tripped on the way to the garage and it landed on the tile floor (d'oh!). Installed it anyway and it didn't work, but now I couldn't be sure if it was because of the dropped unit or if the problem remained elsewhere. I called Joe to tell him my sad story, and he said "stuff like that happens, it's okay." I sent him back BOTH units, plus my navigation DVD, and they bench-tested each one over a few days, finding them both to work fine. He sent me back my original unit and DVD, and suggested I check all wiring connections before buying a more expensive refurbished video display from them. Checking and cleaning all connections didn't solve the problem, so I purchased their refurbished video display, which arrived last night. Worked like a charm! What a relief! I'm sorry for the people who haven't had good experiences with Original Car Audio, and I'm somewhat perplexed. Maybe they've changed ownership or employees. Based on my months-long interactions with them, I could not be more satisfied.

If you want lower end or cheapest stereo or stuff go somewhere else, that is NOT what they do at Mobile Essences. This is mid level to upper level components and install business. You are paying more for good durable components and reputable installers who know what they are doing. If you want to spend $400 on a system go to Walmart, if you want to spend a couple grand (or more) on a top shelf system this is the place to go!

Ill always remember his hands were solid white for some reason when he came out. It was at different location than it is now. I did have all the wires but it seemed like a lot of gear still to put together with thick gauging which isn't exactly easy to install but not an expert. (Special shout out to Kyle C. who helped install the first half of my system so this is a token of my gratitude as well) In conclusion he charged me $100 even and honestly to this day haven't had a problem with anything not working unless my box tips over and the power or ground come unplugged every so often. Absolutely recommend this place these guys have won awards and prizes for days. Awesome people.

They assured me this was a easy replacement and they knew how to do it. I drove home after the work to see rain coming in through my rear window. I brought it back and they repaired it or so I thought. The next rain it leaked at the drivers side window. I brought it back, on a nice day I put the top down only to find it would not fully engage in its decent. I brought it back, fixed I thought. Upon later inspection I noticed two small tears in the fabric at stress points, they had stretched it too tight. I called to voice my complaint and was told it would be fixed, I said I would bring it in next spring as it was Oct. and the car goes into storage for the winter. This spring I brought the car out and called for a time to bring it in for repair or replacement of the top, only to be told "we don't do convertible tops anymore". I reminded the receptionist I was told the repair had a two year warranty, she assured me it would be fixed. I asked that Rick the owner call me for a time to bring it in, he never called. I engaged the BBB to help me pursue the issue. Rick lied and said that they did not offer a two year service guarantee. Rick is a liar who is inept in his work as well as performance as a business owner! The work performed by these people is shoddy and not in anyway guaranteed. I had never encountered service this bad in my life before this. STAY CLEAR!

The manager of the store spent time talking me through the different options I could choose from, gave me the pros and cons of each and helped me make a decision I was confident with. There isn't one kind of window tinting, some products are better than others at the amount of UVA/UVB light they allow into the cabin, others do a better job at preventing heat from entering the car which helps keep the car cooler and lets you ease up on your air conditioning. It's not just about how dark you want your windows to be. My 18 month old son didn't like the amount sunlight coming through the stock tinting in the rear of the car and I felt like the front of the cabin was also letting in too much light. Plus it was getting hot inside the cabin faster than my other cars. It just wasn't very comfortable. The guys at Tint World also tested my windows and helped me determine how dark to go. Up front the MN law says you can go higher than 50% light reduction. My stock windows were 30%, we darkened them to 50%. My rear windows were 50% and we took them to 75% light reduction. They're really slick. Check out the before and after shots!! I'm so happy with the results and it really didn't cost as much as you might think. Thanks guys!
