SO HAPPY found this place. I called out to stereo custom shops on the west coast and they said this is the only shop in MN they recommend to do upper end stereo and subwoofer installation. If you want lower end or cheapest stereo or stuff go somewhere else, that is NOT what they do at Mobile Essences. This is mid level to upper level components and install business. You are paying more for good durable components and reputable installers who know what they are doing. If you want to spend $400 on a system go to Walmart, if you want to spend a couple grand (or more) on a top shelf system this is the place to go! read more

Had whole system installed here like seven or eight years ago now about. Cant remember who it was but a nice Mexican & took him a while like almost an hour in a half. Ill always remember his hands were solid white for some reason when he came out. It was at different location than it is now. I did have all the wires but it seemed like a lot of gear still to put together with thick gauging which isn't exactly easy to install but not an expert. (Special shout out to Kyle C. who helped install the first half of my system so this is a token of my gratitude as well) In conclusion he charged me $100 even and honestly to this day haven't had a problem with anything not working unless my box tips over and the power or ground come unplugged every so often. I had to cancel my appt because my car would not reliably start (the starter went south a few days before I was due to drop it off), but working with Caleb - as busy as he and the shop are - has been nothing but punctual and professional. -------AVOID Mobile Essences-------- Savage, MN. Small showroom , really none for visual options. Talked about the car and options and set a deal on equipment and install(Doors= 4 speakers 6.5" and 2" tweeters each. 10" sub in the rear of a hatchback, dsp, amp, new A/C controls) M/E will need the car 2-3 days, They had it 6, M/E started tearing apart the car w/o having the main new head unit. ???? So I can sell you a new front door, come to your house and rip out the old door w/o having the new door on site??? --AVOID-- these guys rookies. Finished the 1st install. Sound was muffled and not very explosive for the $$, well they never set the delay/distance from each speaker to the drivers head location. --AVOID-- total rookie move-- Placed the DSP and Amp, 1 under each front seat but set them so far back they both block the rear passengers feet from full extention/tucking under those extra 4"/5". The Seat depth does allow more than enough room to move them forward to allow full rear foot box usability. ---AVOID--- another rookie move. 1st head unit went bad very soon. They did replace quickly but AGAIN did not set the delay/distance to the main listeners head spot. The music was 8-10 db louder at my front knee than anywhere in the car. Actually said they feel ppl want the sound to mostly come from that closest speaker to the driver,, hahaha ok dude another rookie lie/mistake/cover up for not doing a quality job. The second install now has the dreded HISS = ground loop/Bare wire syndrom. ---AVOID---another rookie move. Also never snaped the finish panel back in below the stearing wheel. Don't let the small shop exterior distract you from the amazing work that is being done at Mobile Essence. I wanted a new radio and a backup camera installed in my truck and was lucky enough to get the recommendation from Crutchfield to check out Mobile E. I was not disappointed. Their friendly staff worked with me to find an appointment that worked within my hectic schedule. I was warmly greeted the moment I walked in the door and the work was done on time. This shop is professional, clean, and clearly an expert in the field. This is not some chain store with barely trained staff. These are highly qualified professionals that get the work done and do it well. I will definitely be back for more upgrades. read more

I have been tricking out my Kia Soul and bought a lot of aftermarket "bling" to install. I went to a highly rated electrical shop in St. Paul, and they quoted me a fortune. In finding Eric, at Mobile Essence, I was FINALLY able to afford having everything installed. He did top notch work on 5 different electrical items on my car. I will be using him to install satellite radio and DVD players in my classic cars, as well as some soundproofing and new speakers. read more

I purchased a vehicle stereo from Eric at Mobile Essences in 2015. I was having difficulty with the antenna and took it back this year. Eric looked at it (at no cost) reset it and said if I had trouble going forward to let him know. Several weeks ago I made an appointment for the next day. The team at Mobile Essences replaced the tuner and contacted Sirius to get my account connected - again at no cost. When I asked Eric about the payment he simply said, "We always take care of our customers." What tremendous customer service. Love the stereo too. read more

I paid $55 to install radio and $80 to install front and rear speakers. Plus I paid $350 to install LED driving lights. I installed all these items on August 22, 2015. After the install I listened to the radio and it sounded a little strange, so I figured the radio settings needed to be adjusted, so I didn't think much of that while at the Mobile Essences shop. When I got home and started to adjust the settings that is when I noticed the problem with the stereo, the stereo sounded worse than the factory radio. So I called up Eric and explained the problem, after explaining to him the problem and him confessing that he assumed that Best Buy told me about the issue. I said no they did not, why would they, that is why I hired you as my professional installer, he did not even have the courtesy to let me know forthright after the installation that there was something wrong. He left me go home and think everything was ok. He as a professional radio installer should have known there was an issue and told me about it. He did nothing! And when I told him he became defensive and after us calmly talking about it, he says he has to go and then hangs up on me in mid sentence. I made multiple attempts on multiple days to address this issue and he refuses to talk to me or return my calls. This is not very professional. Additionally the LED lights are less than optimal, but they are functioning. Eric did not return my original factory lights after repeated requests for their return. I also asked Eric for return of my front and rear speakers to which he said he destroyed them in the installation of my speakers. What???? I called up Best Buy and asked them what their procedure is. The Best Buy sales person says they NEVER destroy customer property during installation of speakers. They return all items. I was never advised that my speakers would be destroyed. Plus after installation he did not advise my radio was not working specifically the bass because he assumed that I already knew that. How could I possibly know that I might need an amplifier bypass or for that matter a new amplifier??? How could Best Buy for that matter know that as well? At that point he hung up on our phone conversation. How rude! From that point on he never talked to me or would return any phone calls or texts. Up to the installation he was very good with communication where we texted and talked on the phone about the install. Service in my humble opinion is non-existent. read more
