I've had a car key break (like the fob shattered in the ignition) before, so I knew what I was in store for after I lost my keys to the river. Go on to amazon, order a new key, and find someone (hopefully this place) that will replace it for you. I went on to amazon and bought a new key for like $50. I then called Budget Locksmith to make an appointment. It was great! They come to you first of all, which was nice. I didn't have to disrupt my daily routine too much to make this work. The service was quick, responsible, and didn't break the bank! I think I spent like $85 getting the key cut and programmed. It took about 30 minutes for them to arrive and another 15 to get the lock picked. My issue isn't with the service, but the cost. I was backed into a corner with no other option and felt slightly taken advantage of with the cost ($300). I was never told prior to or during the service what the cost was going to be. There was no opportunity for a payment plan or invoice. They also said I would get a receipt, but I never did.

He will give you an estimate over the phone, but in person he usually comes up with whatever insane fee to get more money out of your pocket.
