Speedy Keys was a lifesaver for us. We got stuck at a gas station outside Minneapolis. Which was 6 hours from home for us. I had left my car running when I went into a Subway then accidentally left my keys there. Since my car was running it let us drive 3 hours towards home before we stopped for gas and couldn't start it again without a key. I must've called 10 different locksmiths who all didn't have a 2018 Equinox key because it was too new. Finally Speedy Keys said they had it and that they would come out even though they were technically closed. The man said he came because it seemed like we were stranded. Which we totally were. They were friendly and got my keys made quickly so we could get back on the road. If not for them we would've been stranded for the night until a car dealership opened the next morning. Holy Jesus I love speedy keys! During a short stint in Minneapolis I needed a new key fob for my '08 Camry Hybrid (Electronic IG). They went to the location, took care of it and we did the entire transaction seamlessly over the phone. They even emailed me a receipt. Great job! Which brings me to today. I had an issue opening my car with the cut-key because of a battery issue. They, and I said they because I don't remember the guys' name who showed up (wish i could); in 5 minutes he cut me a new key AND cut me an extra key as a backup. When I asked 'how much do i owe you?', he said 'nothing!'. Needless to say, I love these guys! These reviews are 100%. -They show up sooner then you expect. -Their prices are better then everyone else's (Trust me, I checked because my replacement key fob was supposed to be $300). -Their customer service is A-MA-ZING! and with a smile. I called around to investigate the cost of making a duplicate of my car key. I finally stumbled onto Speedy Keys, and liked the price quote. Since I wasn't in a hurry, I was told to drop by on a Saturday. I ordered a programmable fob off Amazon, then drove to Brooklyn Park one Saturday. In a few minutes I had a new key programmed for $50! Service with a smile, too. I highly recommend getting an extra key made before your only key disappears -- which ALWAYS happens when you possess just one key. I recently purchased a 2010 Acura TL that only came with 1 key fob. On this particular model car the key fobs are labeled driver 1 and driver 2. I needed the driver number 1 key. Robert came to home on Thursday August 16th with a refurbished key and programmed it, but it still said it was a driver 2 key. He picked up an actual factory key from an Acura dealer and programmed it for me the next day for the same price! Oh, by the way, they were almost 50 percent less then what the dealer quoted me. These were the only guys who I could find who could program a key for me for my 2006 Acura TSX. Eveyone else said they wouldn't or couldn't do it and if I went to the dealership it would have cost me 120$ for them to cut and program a key. Robert from Speedy Keys got me out of a very bad situation with a local dealership. I bought two brand new key fobs for my car from a dealer at $230 each and took them in to be programmed for $80 with a one hour appointment. 7 hours later and after missing work because I had no car, they tried to charge me $400 on top of that for all the "work" they did and then said they couldn't program my keys unless I paid $2500 to completely replace my car's computer which magically broke while it was in their care because these things "just happen." Infuriated, I called them out on their BS and got out of that bill and then I called Robert. He came out to my home the next afternoon and programmed my keys in about 15 minutes!! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He spent the extra time to make sure I was set and didn't rush off after the job was done. I was stunned and very, very happy. This is a little late, job took place on 1/14/2016. My key cylinder in my Intreped locked up. Dealer said I needed to get it towed in for dealership and get cylinder replaced and new keys programmed ($$$$). Called Speedy Keys, was there when he said he would get there. In no time, had my lock cylinder out, had the new one re-keyed to my old key (no key replacement, woohoo) and the new cylinder back into my car. All done for a fraction of what the dealer was going to charge me. Need a couple of more keys and fobs.
