Great value. Fast service. Nice guy and very kind. Recommend this service if you need responsive and effective help!

I just had a fantastic--and FAST!--experience with Fast Eddys replacing a front door lock on an older home! Eddy was very friendly, provided expert advice, and installed the lock with utmost professionalism. We had agreed he'd show up at 9:00am, but just prior to that he called to say he was running about 18 minutes late which was a nice touch. He was there in 17 minutes and set to work. The lock was installed and fully functional in no time even though the existing hole in the door had to be expanded. He provided excellent recommendation for the lock and several helpful tips about how to keep the lock working well for years to come. All this for a price that seemed very fair. I'd happily engage Fast Eddy for any lock/key related issues. Highly recommended! read more

The lock broke on one of our steel security doors and was completely inoperable, locked shut. The lock set was an old Marks lock that had actually broken internally, keeping the lock bar in place. Eddy and his assistant came by and recommended we pick up the lock set online; doing this saved us a couple hundred right off the bat, which was an excellent introduction. Once the lock arrived, Eddy fit us into his schedule the next day, knowing we'd already been dealing with this inoperable door for about a week by then. The lock did not give way easily -- it took well over an hour, but they persisted, and eventually (& quite loudly) defeated the broken, but formidable, lock. Not to understate it, this lock was a challenge (which makes me feel even more secure having a newer version of the same lock installed now). It was all smooth sailing from here, and we were all quite relieved we didn't have to escalate the process farther. They were very conscious of our pets the entire time, and allowed me to watch their processes, explaining as they did, and answering every question I had as well. Eddy even showed me the internals of the old lock set after pulling it out, including the part that had broken and jammed the lock bar, knowing I'd be interested to see what had been causing all those problems. Fast Eddy's is a great business, and they were very helpful all throughout. If we ever need a locksmith's services again, we'll definitely be calling Fast Eddy's. Five Star. read more

I had a driver passing through Minneapolis that had car with keys locked inside. Called them a day before and explained the situation. I have a Porsche Panamera that needs the door unlocked. They said sure we can do it with no problem, next day my driver calls them and they refuse to do any service saying that they do not know how to unlock a Porsche. Anyway had to call several other places before someone from their team reached out to me that helped out my driver. 3 stars because they actually got the job done but I wish it wasn't so painful to schedule them. After talking to my driver he told me the mechanic was finished within 5 m read more

Eddie offers outstanding service! He's professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable and affordable! He helped us out within the hour when the OLD front door lock gave out - just as we were on our way out to dinner! Tried to save the old lock first (to save us money! Rather than immediately going for a more expensive option). He had to change out the lock and did it really well. Great work and a great guy! We highly recommend and will call him again. Thanks Eddie! read more

I can't say enough good things about Eddy. When my office doors needed new locks, he not only was available but quick to arrive, quick to do the job, and quick to smile while doing it all. His prices are very reasonable, and he just a great guy two work with. So I thought of him immediately when my wife and I were locked out of our house on Labor Day. Who ya gonna call but Eddy. He was there in a half hour, got it done in 15 minutes, and gave me a very reasonable bill. I can't recommend him more highly! read more

I called Fast Eddy's after the ignition cylinder in my older car locked up. First I tried the car dealership, but their price was very high. Plus I'd need to have the car towed in. A local car shop though they could do it, but suggested I try a locksmith first to avoid the hassle and cost of towing. So I used Yelp! to get some quotes. A couple of locksmith companies replied that they didn't do ignitions, but Fast Eddie replied back with a quote that was less than half the price of the dealership. And they could come to my house so no need for a tow truck. I gave them a call. Scott contacted me to arrange a time, called ahead of the appointment, and arrived right on schedule. He was professional, courteous, and definitely knew his stuff. He took the time to show me the old lock cylinder which was itself a replacement (I didn't realize it had been replaced before by the previous owner) and explained why it locked up. There were no surprises, the price matched the quote, and he finished the job well within the time he estimated. The new ignition cylinder works great. I'm a satisfied customer! read more

Fast Eddy has helped me TWICE-reliable, prompt, reasonably priced and very kind. Recommend him highly!

Fast, friendly and awesome. Arrived 20 min after I called and rekeyed 5 locks in 15 min. Definitely recommend. Thanks!

The 2-person team (Eddie and Associate) arrived promptly at the scheduled time. We needed to replace our existing locks with new ones. They efficiently installed the locks we had purchased previously - two dead bolts and two regular locks on the front door and the walkout-to-garage door. We also asked them to replace the walkout-to-patio door, and they convinced us to key it to be the same as all the other keys. They completed all the above in approximately 30 mns! The charges were reasonable, as well. We also appreciated their knowleadgeability and friendliness. Kofi M. Mounds View, MN read more

Moved into a new apartment, needed to change the lock. I called a couple of other locksmiths, but their wait time was long and their prices seemed high. Very nice guy, clean work. I would highly recommend this locksmith. read more

Found Fast Eddys on Yelp and called because of the good reviews. So glad I did. I left a message and received a friendly call back within 5 minutes. Eddy told me he'd come to my home the following morning to look at a door knob that was giving me problems and that he wouldn't charge me to come assess the problem. He arrived right on time and was extremely professional. Eddy explained the options I had, ordered the part and returned within a few hours to install the new knob. Job took about 10 minutes and price was extremely reasonable. Eddy was so friendly and I would absolutely call again. read more
