Sampled the kolsch (soapy, both here and in Chantilly, so it's not just a glass or a line), porter (funky aftertaste), and the Melting Point Cold IPA (the most drinkable). I feel bad, leaving this review because the more senior employee I chatted with previously at Chantilly is a very nice guy, but I'm just letting beer drinkers know that the beer itself at Bunnyman is iffy...and it's not like you're coming for the ambiance of the industrial park or the guy illegally dumping by the train tracks I walked by on the way in. When I was cashing out in Burke, the guy working the till asked me how it was. I'm adopting a policy of being honest if asked, otherwise I'd have just let it be. I told him the beer wasn't good, the Kolsch, in particular, tasted a bit soapy, which reminded me it tasted the same in Chantilly. He said he's never liked Kolsch, and maybe they'll have better beer for me next time. Thanks for your personal opinion, I guess. But I like Kolsch, and I like a brewery that can do it decently well. For food, we had not one but two portions of the house made pickles because they are so darn good! We also had the pancake which my wife loved but I thought was so-so. The pork belly bao was delicious! We also shared an order of the Three-Cup Sauce wings. They were sweet and well-cooked. The place has a very minimalist vibe with excellent music playing while we were there. It's not everyday you get "You're The Best" from Karate Kid playing in the background! It got VERY crowded around 6:30 when a bunch of people all showed up at the same time and it got pretty loud too, mostly due to a big group of mildly drunk people standing in the bar area. It's a true fusion of asian bites but still a legitimate dive bar. The space is small, patrons are merry, and the whole place is an absolute vibe. I ordered some pilsner and some other lager on tap from local breweeies. Delicious. Ordered popcorn chicken, pork belly, and some 'real food' - a quick rice bowl with chicken. The fried bites were wonderfully crispy. They have good oil management and felt quite light especially with a swig of a cold lager. The rice bowl was tasty too.
