I have mixed feelings about Alex's work. I hired him to fully detail my Honda. I went straight for…read morehis most expensive package because it needed a thorough clean after serving as an adventure car for six years.
He did a great job cleaning the interior and was very professional, on time, made scheduling easy, ect. The dash, front seats that had bad stains, and trunk were all cleaned up well, and I told him not to worry about some spots that i knew were permanent.
However, I had to spend about 15 minutes with him after he finished, pointing out unvacuumed spots, unclean spots in the door gaskets, spots on plastic that I got up with some spit and my thumb right there, spots on the ceiling he left behind. I later got those out myself with some hot water and soap.
The attention to detail is not there for how much I paid. 410 dollars.
Immediately after he left, I noticed lots of water stains that had been left behind on the exterior, as well as bird crap still on my driver side door. Not happy with that. He also put down a paper mat in the drivers side floor, covering up some gum in the carpet he didn't attempt to remove, and didn't mention that.
On top of this, when Alex asked for a review a day later, I expressed some concerns I had and asked what he could do it fix my issues. He chose to respond by calling me "passive aggressive" and made excuses. I'll let that choice speak for itself here.
I'm not asking for perfection, just good service for the money I paid and attention to detail. I paid for a detail.
If he doesn't want to provide exceptional service, he should charge less. A detailer's best package should be exceptional.
In his defense, I was not aware that detailers should be tipped. Im sure Alex feels stiffed, and that is my fault, but at this point I would take back any tip I would have given.
Also, beware that he uses meta glasses and did film our interaction without telling me until I noticed and had him turn it off.
