Outstanding service! My Yamaha engine was stuck down in the water, and despite being extremely…read morebusy, he came out to my boat after 8 PM to help. He quickly diagnosed the problem, got the engine raised, and even assisted me in ordering the necessary parts. He's a one-man operation, so response times can vary, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in honesty, knowledge, and dedication to his customers. It's hard to find someone this trustworthy in the marine repair business. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest boat repair service.

I recommend Ricardo to work on anything on one's boat as his knowledge of boats, engines,…read moreelectrical and plumbing systems is vast! I am not aware of anything he can't repair. Ricardo is an unassuming, modest but highly intelligent person who quietly listens to one's issues with the boat, engine or systems and then just goes to work confirming what one intuits he already knows is the problem and how to fix it? I wish I had called him to work on my boat sooner as instead, I called some else (I previously posted a review about that "mechanic"), who not only clearly is not as astute when it comes to outboard engines but boats' systems and unlike Ricardo, charges abusively for his sloppy services. Ricardo shows up on time but if he expects to be detained by some other job, has the courtesy to call the customer to alert him/her he's delayed. Unlike the other guy, he does not dress with a monogram uniform as he allows his work speak for him, not a uniform. I have owned sail and motor boats from 23' to 46' for 50 years (yes, I am 75 years old as the other guy for some reason, saw fit to point out in response to my review) and have taken multiple boating courses, inclusive of outboard engine repair. Over the years I have used the services of multiple boat yards, electricians and mechanics. Ricardo stands out way above any one else who has worked on my boats! I enthusiastically recommend him to boating friends and family without reservation!

What sets Ben apart is his expertise--he's able to diagnose and fix issues that leave other mechanics stumped. He's punctual, thorough, and always takes the time to explain what he's doing and why, giving me complete confidence that my boat is in great hands. Communication is outstanding. Throughout the service, Ben sends photos and videos of every repair and replacement, so you always know exactly what's being done. He even helped me troubleshoot a problem while I was out on the water over a weekend, which speaks volumes about his commitment to his customers. If you're looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused boat mechanic, I highly recommend Ben and his team.

Some are long on promises, short on delivery. I have a 38 ft. Morgan sailboat I've put on the hard in Florida many times. One yard in Marathon, Marathon Marine in back of West Marine, parked my boat in the mangroves after I left, then ignored it for many months. Rats entered and caused $43,000 in damage. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business. Customers deserve honesty and clear…read morepricing before any work begins. Clarence was combative and rude, completely took advantage of the situation and did not accept any responsability whatsoever. Stay away from this "business". 2/25/26 Since you took the time to TRY to excuse your bad business ethics, I will respond to your response. AGAIN, BEFORE (prior) you work on any vehicle, you should give the client the pricing. NOT just work on the vehicle and then inflate the price by MORE than double what you stated. You never, ever contacted either my husband or I to tell us it would be $325 prior to starting to work on the car. You could have knocked on the door to let me know you looked at the damage and it would be more than DOUBLE what you estimated on the phone. The first thing you said when I came out to greet you was "Did he send you the money?" Also, please stop texting him with your passive aggressiveness- "thank you for the 1 star review" Yes, the 1 star review you COMPLETELY deserve as I want to warn everyone I can that your business ethic is shady and I would hate for anyone to get taken advantage of like you did to me. 100%. Again, stop messaging with your passive aggressive texts- this just goes to further prove how unprofessional you are. I also have the texts you sent my husband which DO NOT show anything about the price being $325 whatsoever. You never, ever told us it would be $325 PRIOR to working on the car. As u mentioned in the private message you sent me a few hours ago, you "assumed" he had sent me more money than the original $150. As I told u on my message, I have a camera outside that recorded the interaction- as well as the text messages between you and my husband that do not show u EVER stated it would be $325. Again, stop text messaging him. You and your company are a nightmare.
