Except for the bill (which was comparative to Big Box with much better quality), it was a great experience. There is everything possible in the showroom and what they don't have they can get. The staff made sure my experience was different than buying a dinner dress. Instead, we discussed plumbing, use, and durability. They even helped coordinate colors and accessories - none of which involve their products (unless you want a colored commode I guess). After with their help, I made my choices, they held the stuff. Why? So when my "man" picked it up I would get a builder discount. Nice. I think they deliver as well - everything is ordered. Doing business was easy. Shopping there is almost as fun as patio furniture/grill/new mattress shopping.

Coming here the first time I thought "hey nice laundromat, new machines, clean facility". But after…read morecoming the second time to wash an extremely large comforter, I find this laundromat is an overpriced monopoly. I went to load my big blankie in the large front loader and saw the price was $7. Ok that's a bit much and I should've looked further down and could've used the $5 ones but I digress. After putting my soap in, I start funneling quarters in and figure I should set it to use hot water....hot water is $1 more! Lol so it is $8 just to wash my blanket. Whatever too late now, so finish filling the quarters, press start and the thing shows a wash time of only 23 minutes! How does my comforter ever have a chance of washing out the dog hair, dog stink, human stench and whatever dna is splashed within its fibers in a measley 23 minutes?! After the pathetic wash cycle I move said blanket to the dryer to find it's another $2 to get this thing going for 30 minutes. I run to my car and find 2 more quarters under my seat to make it $2.50 for 40 minutes and select the hot setting. No biggie here because laundromat dryers get insanely hot so I should be good right? I leave to have lunch, return and the blanket is still wet and I'm out of quarters so I take it home and finish the drying of my still "smells like dog" blanket at home. Guess if I have future washing needs that are too big for my set at home I will have to drive to Spanish fort the next closest facility. Sounds like a good business opportunity to open a new Laundromat and give this place some much needed competition. FAIL!

Nate was our technician, and though our equipment was fully functional, I like to have maintenance done to keep things running well. Pelican responded within 20 minutes of my request, scheduled for the next day, and 100% provided a great once-over on my washer and dryer. Nate also gave us some tips on how to keep all of our appliances running smooth in the future. However, if anything breaks, I know who to call! :) Thank you Pelican for the great service, and we will see you next year for another maintenance check!
