We inquired about the advertised four piece set (dresser, chest, mirror, and nightstand) and asked to include, with payment, an additional nightstand. We were told the items would arrive five days after purchase. When we didn't receive the furniture by the due date, we called the owner because there wasn't an update. He said there were several delays and offered us an item in their "showroom" for our troubles. A week after making our purchase, four of the five items arrived, via a small pick-up truck. A second call was placed with the owner, and he said that's what we paid for a mirror, dresser and two nightstands not the chest. Why would we buy two nightstands, a dresser and mirror without a chest especially when the items for sale included a chest! The owner said we can place an order for a chest for an additional $300. Then he said we could have paid $150 for an extra nightstand when we bought the furniture. He should have told us that when we were originally in the store, that would have been helpful and he would have gained a customer since we want to buy more furniture. I'm definitely disappointed. Also Pay close attention to the fine print: ALL SALES FINAL - NO REFUNDS.

Furniture of this caliber was in our community. Not to throw shade on any of the other local companies. But to be able to know my taste and others with similar taste have the opportunity to walk into a store and purchase such beautiful tasteful furniture and accessories is just delightful. And in this area too. I am sharing with my family and I am certain they will visit and purchase items.

We'd been shopping for new furniture for our cottage for quite a while when we spotted some pictures of these really attractive custom made chairs. We messaged with some questions and Tony gave a quote. The price was very reasonable so we headed out to meet and discuss our situation. I told him about the dimensions were restricted to and what we wanted and took at tour of his shop. We found a chair and loveseat that he had just finished and with a couple adjustments we decided that we had found just what we were looking for. He offered to deliver it on one of his runs and we had a deal. We had an estimate for l when we'd get them and it was time to wait. We were thinking we'd have enough time to custom paint them in time for some family and friends to arrive but that never happened. The scheduled delivery cane and went and the dance began. Long story short we didn't get for nearly a month after promised and after multiple calls, and estimated times, we eventually rented a truck to pick them up ourselves. It was frustrating, but to be fair, it was a time where hiring and keeping employees was difficult and the only two working was Tony and his Dad, so there's that but it was nonetheless annoying. Bottom line: Tony, the owner, is a personable guy and his furniture and prices are great but if you're in a hurry, beware. I would buy from these guys again as long as I could wait. They sell Miles Talbot slipcovered sofas and have one as soon as you enter the store. They sell inexpensive fabrics (if I recall correctly around 6-10/yard for nothing fancy fabric), as well as, Robert Allen, Kravit, and other designer fabrics etc. Please understand this is not like a Joann's, Walmart, or Hobby Lobby fabric store; just an fyi. Cotton Capers has more of a designer selection. The ladies that work here are so kind and helpful. I find it best to arrive shortly after they open as they do get busy later in the day. Lastly, they have a backlog of work and it will take a couple of months to get custom made drapery etc completed.

My wife and I recently moved from the Chicago area to Semmes, and we needed a washer/dryer for our…read morenew house. While I was still in Chicago, my wife started a dialogue with Tom, a very very nice representative from Chavis. Chavis was the only one who had the Speed Queen washer/dryers we needed, and Tom knew that, and was super friendly and accommodating. He warned me that I would have to order them as soon as possible once in Alabama, because, like everything, it would be delayed due to supply chain problems. It only took a month to order them and get them here, but by the 4th week we were swimming in dirty laundry. I sent Tom an email and told him this, and he squeezed me in for a faster delivery and installation. Not only was Tom professional and incredibly helpful, talking to me before I'd even shown up here in Alabama, but he was super helpful even after the sale, helping my wife pick out the right appliances for future purchases. All of this was sight unseen. I've never met Tom in person, and we've not even been to the store yet. Tom did all of this through a very lengthy, very friendly email exchange. I'm so thankful for Tom, because in a place where it's hard to even get a plumber or HVAC tech to come out, Tom hooked us up with some very hard-to-find appliances surprisingly quickly. He was also very funny, and very personable, cracking jokes and making a very tough move easier before we'd even gotten here. I just can't thank Tom and Chavis enough. You have a life-long customer in me.
