I've been using Hal's for 19 years intermittently but the latest experience in early September 26…read morefor debris in the hvac blower of my 2017 Silverado truck has ended that. They charged $138 diagnosis which amounted to turning on the fan, without applying that to the $1000 bill. Additionally, they said it would be best to replace the original blower and for only $40 above the cost of the cheap motor they would install a Delco brand. When I picked the truck up the blower was only putting out half of the force it should. Neither Jim or the mechanic had a solution. Once I got home I pulled the motor and found that it was not a Delco but a generic and there was still some debris in the system. Lori emailed me the invoice and I also found a $46 charge for an engine air filter which was never discussed nor relevant to what I contracted to have done. I sent this information to Lori asking for a follow-up call and have heard nothing. Apparently, I can no longer trust the people at Hal's.

The Belle Tire on Wayne Rd. is the absolute best. I have taken all of the vehicles I have owned…read moreover the years there for repairs and will continue to patronize them. As a Woman, having to deal with Men and getting repairs on my cars, I must admit, I've always feel that I have not received the best service, pricing, nor length of time having my vehicle tied up "Waiting on parts" etc. which sometimes took days. I can happily say, I've never felt that way at the Belle Tire on Wayne Rd. They've always been courteous, honest, made me comfortable while I'm there no matter how long that might have been, got me in and out as expeditiously as possible and the most important thing is that I never felt cheated. Thank you Belle Tire!!!

I take it in there today because the low tire pressure light came on again.. SAUL pulls my car in the bay and said he's gonna check all four tires. He comes back and tells me, it's still the tire that got the new wheel on it. He does something and comes back. Saul tells me that the guy that put the wheel on forgot to pull the valve stem through the hole. I told him I don't wanna be on the other side of town messing around with my tires. So he took care of my tire that was losing air 2-3X/week and made sure all the other tires were in good shape and not losing air. I hope this is the end of the tire story. YAY, Saul!

They encouraged me to come in early for my appointment. I arrived at 2:30p, they didn't get my car in until 3p, and it was almost 3:30p when my car was finished. Coming in early was a complete waste of time. The best part is that I took my car to the Woodhaven location for a wheel alignment. That store informed me that the Taylor location had mounted one of my tires backwards. This error could have caused a potentially dangerous situation in rain/snow and would definitely had caused the tire to wear prematurely. When I called the Taylor store about this, they apologized, said that "accidents happen", and that a new employee had mounted the tire. No offer to pay for my alignment, no offer for free wiper blades, nothing. I didn't call looking for anything, but good customer service should have dictated that they do something to make up for their mistake. I paid over $1k for new tires, they messed up mounting one, and I just got a "sorry". I won't be back. Update: The store manager contacted me to further discuss the issues I'd encountered. He refunded me the labor costs and discussed measures being taken with his team to prevent this from happening again.

I decided to change my destination from Kroger into the Toyota dealership, discovering en route that I was dragging something on the road. After hearing the engine I was told at the dealership that someone had stolen my catalytic converters. He advised a muffler shop and Midas in particular. Since I had had a muffler done in 2018 and was pleased with the result, I drove to the Novi store. Service rep Bill understood the urgency of the situation, He assigned it to Dean who began his analysis. My exhaust pipe had been cut near the engine and part of the tail pipe was dragging. Bill ordered the needed parts and they were soon delivered. I drove to the police station around 4:30 and reported the crime in a very quiet and smooth running old Prius. The bill was substantial but still less than half what the dealer (who recommended a muffler shop, remember) would have charged. And after contacting my insurance company my comprehensive coverage will pay for the repair in total, even the ordinary $500 deductible. That will leave me more money to spend once I finally make it to Kroger. Yesterday started out with a vandalized car and ended with a quiet car that runs reliably, thanks in large part to this Midas shop.

I noticed the stone shield was missing most of the bolts that hold it on, so it was dragging on the ground.
