One of the best experiences I have had in Oahu! The staff (Bella, Jenna, Claire, Bridgette) was so friendly, attentive, and well-educated. I enjoyed how long the trip was. It was a good mix of sightseeing, being on the water, an hour of snorkeling, and more sightseeing. I will be booking them again! We saw turtles, fish, and dolphins! There was also plenty of seating, 2 bathrooms (liquids only), and a bar. The snorkeling is optional if you or a family member don't want to do it - they will still have a good time with the sights! Highly worth it for the price.

Booked through the Chase travel portal. Excellent service, great all female crew. Very relaxing to be around. I did the turtle canyon snorkeling cruise. We saw about 7 turtles when they came up for air and then dive back down. The snorkeling was unsatisfying though because it was too murky due to the trade winds to see the beautiful reef the turtles were diving down to or the fish. So you will see turtles but you could just watch from the boat. That being said the boat ride was very relaxing and we sailed for awhile before coming back to harbor. They made an excellent pina colada and I enjoyed a nap in the sunshine on the way back. They have restrooms for number one only which were easy to use. No toilet paper in the toilet. They provide you with water.

Easy check in process, beautiful view, fairly priced drinks, friendly staff, no complaints. I would sail with Moana again. Lots of photo opportunities and areas to sit.

The crew were so attentive and kind and worked hard to make the day as much fun as possible! We went on the Turtle Canyon snorkeling trip, which was a perfect length excursion for me. I saw about 15 turtles (and had to run away from a couple that came too close), tons of fish (including flying fish on the sail home) and even dolphins! Lastly, they make a nice strong Mai Tai Highly recommended!

We booked the two hour Waikiki Swim and Sail Cocktail Cruise. The captain and crew were amazing! Sailing along the coastline with Diamond Head as your backdrop with a drink in hand. What's not to love? If you get hot, you can cool off right in the ocean. Our experience was definitely one of the big highlights to our trip! Good vibes all around. Mahalo Moana Sailing Company!

This touring company was very fun, relaxing and overall such an incredible experience. Energetic and kind staff are all aboard to serve you and help you with whatever you may need. I also wanted to point out that prior to this there was an error in booking w/o being notified about the cancellation but all is well and we understand that it can happen. With that being said, Jenna did an amazing job on helping us get back in schedule asap! :) I appreciated the quick recovery and was welcomed to the option of a full refund or an upgrade to the sunset cruise instead. Ofc it was an easy choice since I've been dying to check this place out anyway. Will definitely need to come back!

When you have a national weather alert on your phone in the morning and you have a scheduled event in the afternoon, you'll get initially worried. My daughter-in-law confirmed with Moana Sailing it was still a go, so my husband and I trusted Moana Sailing especially when we love to fish (even though this wasn't a fishing excursion) in the rain while in Alaska. Location is easy to find. They're located in the back at Pier D in the Kewalo Basin area. Prior to boarding, we were greeted and signed a waiver. Once boarded, Bella introduced herself along with the rest of the crew who were also lifeguards and went over safety rules. Very efficient, friendly and engaging. When we anchored, they were all situated to watch everyone as we swam around. (Note: They have floaties and life vests for use) You're able to bring food but they also have a bar for non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks (the prices were pretty reasonable for a charter company). The weather conditions were great despite 80% cloud cover because the Sun did come out! The sailing back to the pier was peaceful. Overall, great experience for anyone looking for a reasonable priced water activity to do while visiting or doing a staycation "playing tourist". Highly recommended

Booked this tour on the Chase Portal website & had no problems! We booked the 5pm sunset tour and made sure to get there a little early so we had time to find and walk to the correct pier. The staff collected our shoes before boarding and locked them up to keep them safe. the boat is big enough to allow all passengers to walk around comfortably, and had lots of seating available too! the bathroom on deck was comfortable and clean. there was also netting near the front of the ship that you can sit on. the drinks were fine- the first drink was complimentary and the rest were $8. the crew was quick with taking drink orders, helped take pictures of their guests, played great music, and made the experience nice and fun. we even came across some dolphins on our tour!! the boat drives towards Diamond Head which allows you to get a gorgeous view of Waikiki. This was a wonderful experience- i'd be happy to book again in the future. note: if you're sitting at the front of the boat, be ready to get soaked by the ocean at some point!

I was looking for an affordable excursion when I came across Moana's sip and swim on Trip Advisor. This was my first time on a catamaran and we had a great time! The crew were very friendly and attentive. We paid $39.99 for a 2 hour trip, cocktails were $8 which was awesome, and I loved how we were able to swim, see turtles, and dolphins! I had a wonderful time thank to these team members, especially the captain Bella was so nice and she gave a very heart welcoming to all of us. I could feel so much trust in them as it was my actual first time on a sailing boat that has been recommended to me by my boyfriend. I hope to come again on the sailing tour in the future. 10/10 amazing experience!! The captain and crew were very kind and knowledgeable, we went on the sail and turtle snorkel tour. They made sure all of us were ok at all times during the snorkel, and guided us through the whole experience. The boat and the ride was beautiful, and we really did see a lot of sea turtles at the reef they took us to!! They also offer complementary drink after the snorkeling portion of the tour which hit the spot after the swimming. Mahalo for the wonderful experience! read more

Absolutely amazing experience--this catamaran tour is hands-down the only one you should take if you're looking to snorkel and see turtles in Waikiki! From the moment we stepped onboard, the crew made us feel welcome and comfortable. They were incredibly friendly, upbeat, and attentive, constantly checking in with everyone to make sure we were having a great time. It didn't feel like just a tour--it felt like hanging out with friends who genuinely wanted you to enjoy the ocean. The snorkeling was fantastic. We saw sea turtles up close, colorful tropical fish, and even had a chance to just float and relax in the warm water. The crew gave helpful tips, made sure everyone felt safe, and kept the good vibes going the whole trip. Crew was really nice. Views are amazing! First drink is on them. The rest around $6. They have tons of cocktails, beer, and wine. Highly recommend the pina colada and the mai tai! +I absolutely loved my time out at sea with this great group! +At first, I was skeptical about going out on a catamaran. I kind of wanted a regular boat, but I was wrong! This was super fun! +The crew was great! I don't know if it was some kind of in-joke about the girl (forgot her name) being single, but I don't see how that's possible. +The cruise was roughly about two hours. +The weather was perfect and the scenery was beautiful. It's Hawaii!! +Got wet a little bit, but it was fun! +Would have been the most perfect outing if we saw some dolphins. +Glad I tipped ahead of time online. +I was actually contemplating going again before I left Hawaii. +I left it as something to do again for when I hopefully go back again soon! +HIGHLY recommend. read more

Absolutely gorgeous! The sunset sail was everything you want it to be. The captain and crew were very nice and attentive! My four year old LOVED it as much as we did! I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this and do it again! Pro tip bring a jacket it gets a little chilly especially if you get splashed or drizzled on like we did. read more

One of the top highlights of my trip to Oahu for sure. I'm really happy my cousin told me about this company. It was easy to book online and they were communicative leading up to the morning of our snorkeling trip. They have many different options of which boats/times go out. I regret not going on their sunset boat before leaving. We signed up for their snorkeling morning time slot and everything was so smooth and straight forward. The crew were super nice and relaxed. The boat was spacious and clean. It was about a two hour snorkeling trip with a 15 minute ride out and 1 hour of snorkeling. I was worried it'd be short, but it was the perfect amount of time. On the ride out, we saw multiple dolphins swim next to us. The shore/mountain views were amazing. But snorkeling with so many turtles and fish was just an incredible experience. Highly highly recommend. Follow their Instagram they are pretty active with it. read more

Got on to the 3 hour swim and sail experience boat ride. Got on time though initially locating the place was a bit challenging. However ended up calling their number and they guided us perfectly to the spot. Located towards the end of of the marina , and if you are dropped by Uber/taxi in the front , it's like a good 5-7 minute walk to reach the spot. Once boarded , we were instructed for all that that was going to come our way. The captain made the instructions funny to listen to and not something that you would just ignore. Once the engines were turned on it was a beautiful sight. From the marina, about 15-20 minutes later was the first stop where the boat was halted and folks could jump in and take a swim. This particular ride did not offer any snorkeling equipment , though if you had one of your own you were more than welcome to use it. The place where we halted, was a turtle canyon ( turtle car wash if you will, where they get together and are cleaned by fishes who eat algae etc that is residing on the turtle's shell). It was quite a spot as every now and then we would see one popping out of water to take some fresh air and then would go back in. Stayed there for quite a bit , post which the mast was raised and the boat was set to sail with the wind. Made some splashes along the way as the water got a slight bit choppy though it was all fun and great times. Definitely recommend it and a big shoutout to the crew who we're ever so friendly, welcoming and gave us all a great time on the boat!!!! read more

Best crew in Hawai'i! Celebrating my Birthday all week long and this was an unforgettable experience. Music and drinks were amazing but the view.... BEAUTIFUL! So many different options for seating and restroom is available on deck! An amazing experience to sail and drink with a bunch of strangers from all over the world LOL! Those strangers became our friends and we made unforgettable memories! Was told this was an easy book, sells out fast and were stunned on how organized this journey was. Conveniently located in dock near hotel zone and very easy parking. Instructions with meeting point, map, boarding instructions, transportation and parking, what to bring and that's available for purchase and bar info we're all sent via text! Pier D slip 108 is the BEST we promise you will not be disappointed. 10/10 recommend! read more

My husband and I booked the 2.5 hour turtle snorkeling cruise and it was amazing! Initially we booked the 10:30am slot, but the business notified us that over 40 people booked that time and only 4 people booked the 7 am slot. We were able to change our time to the 7 am slot with ease, and we were very pleased with being given the option. The 7am cruise, while early, was phenomenal. Our crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly chill. They communicated their guidelines clearly and ensured everyone on board would have a fun and safe time. We saw over 12 turtles during the early cruise, both sleeping in the "hotel" and coming up for air. Afterwards, we were taken on a dolphin cruise with the time we had left. All in all 20/10 experience. ALSO, please tip your tour guides! They are absolutely worth every penny and more. read more

While the drinks were enjoyable, the overall experience left much to be desired. Due to special event, the front of the boat was exclusively taken by 2 families or special guests, leaving the rest of us crowded at the back. Although we were technically free to move, access to the front was restricted or very limited, limiting our view and space to roam. It would have been helpful to receive a heads-up about this arrangement, such as a notice about seats being on a first-come, first-served basis or an advisory to arrive 30-40 minutes early for better seating. Additionally, knowing in advance that part of the boat would be booked for a private event would have set more realistic expectations. Given that all guests paid the full price, many were understandably disappointed. Suggestions: Communicate any private events or seating arrangements clearly on the booking site. Suggest earlier arrival times to ensure seating preferences. Consider offering partial refunds or alternative dates for guests during events. Overall Rating View: Limited Flexibility: None read more

Book the Sunset Catamaran Cruise, you will not be disappointed! The crew was friendly and very helpful with photos, recommendations for food, and best beaches on the other side of island. You're welcomed to BYOB but they did offer cups, ice, and bottles of water. While we didn't see any whales during the cruise, the sunset was breathtaking! read more

Too many people on other tour boats are at this location for snorkeling. We did see some turtles from the boat but did not see any fish or turtles while snorkeling. We were constantly dodging other snorkelers. The boat and staff were great. They take safety seriously and are extremely well organized. Upon return to Oahu, I would select this company for a different excursion. Price point was great with keeping safety and cleanliness of boat in mind. Marina was easy to find. Overall, it was a great time, just not for snorkeling. read more

Booked the 2 hour Turtle Canyon snorkel tour with them in August 2021. Nice boat and solid three person crew. Only 8 passengers when we went, which was great. We brought our own snorkel gear, but they provide everything you need. They also require you to wear a flotation device around your waist. Everyone must wear one, doesn't matter if you're Michael Phelps. About a 15 minute trip out to the snorkeling location. Turtle Canyon is an area where turtles congregate to give their shells a good cleaning by the local fish. We saw about a half dozen turtles as well as a good mount of fish. It was a little swelly and windy when we went, but still a good time. Visibility was decent. The flotation devices were a little bit of a bummer. You stay out for around an hour and 15 or so. Good amount of time to swim around. You can get back on the boat at any time. Entry and egress was a breeze with their stairs. What you need to bring - towel, sunscreen, water, snacks (if you want). They used to have a bar feature, but it is unavailable due to covid. There are two restrooms on board. All in all, a good time. We'd book with them again. read more

I booked the "Moana's 2-Hour Guided Turtle Snorkel & Sail Adventure at Waikiki". I was so looking forward to sailing for the first time and also being able to snorkel with turtles! I gave it three stars because I did see turtles and was excited that I got to see one up close. They also called before the time I had booked and said they couldn't go out at that time because they didn't have enough people. They moved my time to later in the day. So be prepared for this type of change when booking excursions. They did allow me to cancel if I wanted so that was nice. I only gave it three stars because we did not sail even though it said "sail adventure" and I felt like the crew was talking down at us like we were kids. I told one of them that my mask was leaking in water (I know how to wear a mask) and he tried adjusting it for me on my head and told me that it should be fine. I ended up going back to the boat to get a different set (that worked fine). This cut out quite a bit of my snorkel time. It was overall a fine experience but I was still very disappointed that we didn't sail like the booking said. read more

My family and I had an amazing time with the crew yesterday 8/7/22! They were extremely helpful for those of us who needed assistance with the kids or beginners, gave great instructions, had the safety gear, beautiful spacious boat, supplied ice water, had alcohol for afterwards and kid friendly drinks at a reasonable price, hilarious captain, and very friendly staff who was friendly to all no matter your race (which is extremely important to my family of color due to unfortunate encounters no matter where we travel.) They also have clean bathrooms as well! This was a great experience snorkeling with the beautiful fish and turtles!! This is a must while in Honolulu, the captain was hilarious. He was very knowledgeable educated us on everything and I noticed he was mentoring his employees very well speaking of his employees. The staff was so much fun. Very attentive took time to hang out with us and get to know us, as well as us getting to know them to me the staff and the captain make the trip we were coming back here. I'm waiting for the sunset and it was by far the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen in my entire life. I will be booking a snorkeling trip for tomorrow with them please make sure you tip the crew when you get off I noticed a lot of people didn't. Truly, the best sunset cruise I've ever been on in my life. read more

This is such an amazing and relaxing experience to have! The sailing was very smooth and the attendants were very friendly. They provide you with some water to start and we're quick to provide you drinks when needed. The drinks were very delicious and I definitely recommend the Moana Marg. The music was very relaxing to get you into the mood of just unwinding. I also appreciated how they were so willing to help take photos of the experience making the experience even more memorable! They even made sure to warn you when/where the " splashing " zone is. Definitely an experience I recommend to those who want to unwind and enjoy the waters of Waikiki! read more

I would highly recommend the sunset cruise. The crew, captain and staff were excellent and attentive. Watching the sails being raised and the ship being skillfully maneuvered was interesting and educational. Very relaxing time was had by our whole party. In addition, I felt safe and secure while on this boat because the crew made themselves available for questions. The drinks were quality-made, and not watered down. We booked the Whale Watching Tour and it was one of our favorite activities we did on this trip! We got to see 4-5 different pods of whales! It was amazing how quickly we were able to spot the whales and how active they were. Captain Johnny, Bella and Beau were so welcoming and educated us on how to spot the whales and other wildlife. We've done the sunset cruise with Moana Sailing Company a few times and it's always been an amazing experience. The staff is always friendly, they check in on guests throughout the entire trip, and they offer to take pictures during the cruise. It's such a fun and unique way to see Waikiki and Diamond head. Amazing boat ride with great added features including a small nested area at end of boat and foam pad to hold onto when snorkeling! they also offer beginner assistance while still allowing advanced people to go off on there own. We took the family out on an afternoon adventure on the boat. We all loved it! Saw sea turtles at multiple times during the trip. This trip was very fun and relaxing, there is no specific place .All that happens is we ride into the sea for about an hour and turn back after that. Great trip, great views . Easy to book, show up early. If you book directly you can hop on right away and get some of the best seats. Be warned the mesh area can get a little wet. Drinks on board were pretty reasonably priced and really tasty. Hope people aren't rude and stand in front of you blocking your view. read more

Both of my boys absolutely loved the boat ride, and our 4-year-old was lucky enough to swim with the sea turtles--which was such a special memory for our family. We even got to see dolphins, which made the experience even more incredible! What stood out to me the most, especially as a mom traveling with young children, was how thoughtful and attentive the crew was. One of the crew members was incredibly kind and patient with my son while he was in the water. He helped him get comfortable laying on a surfboard, gently pulled him around the water so he could see the sea turtles, and even taught him how to tell the male and female turtles apart. Seeing how comfortable and happy my son was made the experience so much more meaningful to me. After snorkeling, we got to enjoy a fun ride on the water, soaking up the sunshine and feeling the ocean breeze. It was the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and family fun. If you're visiting Hawaii and looking for an unforgettable experience, I highly recommend this tour! You truly won't regret it. The crew, the beautiful ocean, the turtles, the dolphins, and the memories we made with our boys made this one of the most memorable parts of our trip. You take a boat out from Waikiki to the submarine and then climb down into the submarine and go underwater. We went more than 100 feet below the surface. And honestly, it was just SO COOL to be sitting in a submarine under the ocean. I've snorkeled and scuba dived before, but this felt completely different. You're actually looking out the windows and watching fish swim by while you're moving along near the ocean floor. We even got to see the artificial reefs and sunken airplanes and ships that have become homes for marine life. The guide was really friendly and pointed out things to look for as we moved along. He also had many, many puns. I also really liked this because you don't have to get in the water. You get the underwater experience without snorkeling, scuba diving, getting covered in sunscreen, or worrying about what you're going to do with your stuff while you're swimming. It felt safe and comfortable and easy. I wasn't expecting this to be my favorite activity of the trip, but it absolutely was. There was something about being under the ocean in a submarine that felt like a real adventure rather than just another tourist activity.
