Upon further inspection, I pulled the comforter back and noticed hair, to include what looked like a PUBIC hair... dried up white stains on the pillow shams too. I called the number provided in the guest book and no answer. I left a message asking if I could please get some clean sheets, I waited an hour and no response. I called the booking agency and they couldn't even get a hold of the property. I kept trying to call back with no luck. Now being in the military I've slept in some crappy places, but this was beyond. Also, the door handle was extremely loose and the door didn't even seal shut. I did not feel safe or comfortable trying to sleep here so I had to go down the road and book a last minute hotel. I still haven't received any communication from anyone regarding this over 24 hours later. They have zero standards for quality. Please don't make the same mistake I did, avoid this place.

I feel mislead on this rental - I started on Trip Advisor where this property was listed under "Kokopelli Lodgings" which I later found out means they have multiple properties! What I thought I was renting was NOT where I ended up at. There is Kokopelli West (which is what I thought I was renting), Kokopelli Lodge (which is where I ended up), Kokopelli Inn Towner and who knows how many other properties - BEWARE! Pay close attention to not end up disappointed like I was. I arrived AT "KOKOPELLI LODGE" around 7-8pm on 11/27/20. I had received information about how to enter the unit before the day of check in, just NOT WHAT UNIT I HAD RENTED!! I called the phone number for the property management and left a voice message. After some time had passed I decided to just try my door code on ANY unit that did NOT appear to be occupied - and just like hitting the jackpot, a door opened! Yay, glad I was able to find MY unit!! Then while I was organizing my things inside the unit the property management called - I told them NO UNIT was provided within any emails and how I randomly tried my door code on doors until one opened. NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The Kokopelli Lodge units have paper thin walls, I could hear the neighbors talking on one side and the TV running all night long on the other side. When I turned on the shower - in the phone booth sized shower - there was a musty/mildew smell. Then I looked at the shower ceiling (which is painted purple) to see many dark spots of mildew/mold! I am a small person and let me tell you - the shower is SMALL, be prepared to hit your elbows multiple times washing your hair! The bathroom itself was very small, now I know why there were no pictures of the bathroom. I dropped something on the floor next to the bed and when I went to pick it up I noticed there were quite a few dust bunnies and hair from previous guests on the floor - gross. Also, I'm not sure when was the last time the floor throw rugs were washed - maybe last season by the looks of it! The wall unit heater, next to the head of the bed, kept us warm but also woke me every time it turned on which was often since the temps were in the 20's overnight and the front door was not hung straight so allowed cold air into the unit. Very minimal, small (especially the bathroom), a bit dirty (floors & mildew in shower) unit. Pros - close to main street so can walk to many restaurants, easy access electronic door locks, close to National Parks, sorry I can't think of anything else...

We were able to book the last room available and so glad we did. The pool at the gonzo is so relaxing and perfect. The hotel is right in town but just off the main drag enough to be away from the noise and chaos of Main Street Moab. The staff, Al and Deniz specifically, were so welcoming and helpful for our entire stay. The Gonzo is the best hotel experience in Moab! We decided to stay another night and spend the whole weekend - it was the perfect getaway!

There are bugs in the kitchen and rooms, and they don't even ask you if you have your food handler's certificate in the interview. There's also a BIG language barrier due to the fact that some staff only speak Spanish and the management's first language is Turkish. They swear they understand what you are saying but it immediately becomes evident that they don't when your words are twisted or they just ignore what you said. I wasn't trained properly and I had the other new employees training and teaching me more than management. I was also told my armpit hair was unprofessional meanwhile management and other employees were wearing short shorts and tank tops on the daily. The food is Sysco and they charge 12 dollars for microwave food. Most of it comes frozen. There's also not proper food safety worn. I only saw the manager wear her hair up once while in the cafe and she doesn't wear gloves 90% of the time. They change the hours constantly and don't converse with employees about schedule changes. I was never given a set schedule either. Just asked if I could come in the next day. On the first day of my second week I was told to do the dishes in the back and while I'm doing said dishes the owner had everyone else go into his office to have a meeting with out saying ANYTHING. There were 5 parties trying to make their orders meanwhile i hadn't even been fully trained on how to make coffee and use the espresso machine. So I had to go get my coworkers from the office and leave the cafe unattended. And they wonder why they get bad service. I was last paid on the 17th I quit half way through the next pay period so my check should've been coming in October 2nd, I was informed that I would have to wait until October 13th, which is illegal. The owner argued with me that I was wrong, being completely condescending and unprofessional and rude. Sending emojis during a business interaction. It wasn't until I told the owner that I was going to file a complaint with the Utah labor commission that I was given my money. These people are not good employers.

Rooms are spacious, and are nicely decorated. They have a fridge and microwave. Pool and hot tub was great, perfect temperature. The hotel provided pool towels. Nice fire pit and seating area in the back. There is also barbecue grills. There was plenty of parking at the front and behind the hotel. Breakfast was good, not great. I eat low carb, and most of breakfast is loaded with carbs! The eggs and sausage were good. Wish they had provided salsa and some shredded cheese, but they didn't. They had cream cheese, which was a little bland. They also had butter. The other options are waffles, syrup, cereal, muffins, bagels, yogurt, granola, bread. Drinks: apple juice and a fruit juice, coffee. The biggest issue for us was the road noise at night. In our room we could hear the traffic sounds all night. All kinds of vehicles drove by and were loud. I had a sound machine and ear plugs and had a difficult time sleeping. I'm a light sleeper, so I was up most of the night. Room to room we didn't hear much noise. We could hear the doors closing in the morning starting at 6:30 am. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was one guy helping with breakfast that was talking and chatting on his phone the whole time while working and that was a little annoying! Overall it was good.

First of all, I had no idea Moab had a town with a thriving nightlife of shops and restaurants! This hotel sat right at the edge of the main strip so it was nice that you could walk from the hotel into the town without driving. The hotel was dog friendly which was what we needed. Upon checking in we saw other dogs walking around and the front desk staff were also very friendly to our dog. They even have an outdoor pet area. The room itself as well as the hotel were very clean. They had a lot of amenities. Outdoor pool, outdoor cabana area, free hot breakfast with sausage and eggs and fruit amongst other things. I like to eat healthy and appreciate healthy options. The dining room was huge and had a cozy seating area as well. In that are there were also lots of great reading material and brochures and magazines on the local Moab area and Moab outdoor activities. I took a few for our drive and read them which was nice to have for such a long road trip. Behind the hotel is the famous red rock known for the area. Just couldn't get enough of the pretty rock view from our bedroom window. You get a great view of it from the outdoor pool as well. There was plenty of parking! Most hotels have you driving around for a spot. There's a section of parking that is like a huge parking lot for many cars. Well lit.
