We began our process after contacting Jake Gonzales, owner of DVC. He came and saw our house and what our project would entail. Next we went to the showroom and began the process of picking out materials and discussing our budget. He and his associate Brittany then compiled a list of the materials and the approximate final cost which we then made a second visit to the showroom to finalize everything before Jake and Brittany would do the ordering. Once the materials arrived we began the actual remodel. At this point we were turned over to Dom, Jake's son, who would be the project manager for the entire project. The remodel took roughly 3 weeks and Dom along side his associate Tristan were there almost everyday to supervise the work. The two of them were polite, considerate, knowledgeable and well-mannered. The subs that were hired (ie. plumbing, countertops and installation of cabinets) were exceptional. The day the countertop crew arrived I believe they were in and finished in just a few hours with everything exactly as it should be. All subs were also extremely respectful to my husband and myself, with each group completing their tasks in a timely manner. Dom and Tristan ALWAYS let us know in advance when they or subs would be arriving to work and all were always on time. We could not asked for a more pleasant experience and would absolutely hire them again for future projects.

If you need a custom home built then you would be in better hands elsewhere. I could not recommend them less. ----‐---------------- We started this process on good footing, we spent time getting to know their team, talking through the project and setting expectations. We read their positive reviews and they put on a good face. But soon after construction started we realized that this team is completely out of their depth. As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. Save yourself the trouble.

After talking with a few contractors, we met with Bobby of Atelier 507 and immediately had a positive feeling about what could be accomplished. He came back quickly with a presentation that clearly fulfilled my vision for our new kitchen, and his cost estimate was right where we wanted to be. Our new kitchen included all new cabinetry, granite countertop, tile backsplash, a custom island 3x the size of the old one, plumbing and installation of lots of new lighting. I could go on and on about what a great job his crew did, but what impressed me the most was Bobby's constant follow-up and communication. He also had wise input regarding some of my initial ideas, and I'm glad I took his advice. We finally have our dream kitchen, and now that it's complete, are delighted that we can highly recommend Atelier 507 for your home remodeling needs. They do both large and small projects, and even though our kitchen was one of his smaller projects, Bobby always made us feel like we were his most important customer. Atelier 507 delivered on every promise on time and on budget.

I would give 0 if I could. I sincerely wish that we had the positive experiences that other…read morereviewers seem to have had... it is hard to believe they dealt with the same company. I would not recommend Atelier 507 to anyone, for any reason. I am writing this review because I've noticed an increase in Atelier507's advertising, and I think anyone considering this business should be aware of my family's experience. We signed a six-figure contract with Bobby in December of 2020 for our home remodel. We ultimately paid that entire contract amount, plus about 60% more. To this day, the work is not complete. Bobby abandoned the project before we were able to pass the City of Phoenix's inspection process. So, we have not been able to close out the permits with the City of Phoenix. We were initially told that our home would be finished in March of 2021. It still isn't, 18 months latter. Bobby did find another company to complete the work when we informed him of our intent to file a complaint with ROC after he abandoned the project, so I am hopeful that we will be finished with this chapter in our lives soon. It has caused a lot of stress for our family. The work that was completed required (and still requires) significant repair and "touch up" work. The work was rushed and not carefully completed. It seemed that Bobby wanted to complete the job as quickly and inexpensively (for him) as possible. Some examples: The grout and drywall in and around our primary bath shower is severely cracking. The shower tiles themselves have begun to crack. The drywall around the title is cracking. The shluter around the shower niche is sharp and sticks out from the wall. Our child's bathroom tile has similar issues. The shluter around her tub is sharp and sticks out to the point that she recently cut herself while getting into the shower. He purchased (basic, undoubtedly inexpensive, white) paint for the interior of the home without consulting us about paint color. We were told that was the color our walls would be painted, because the paint had already been purchased. The paint was thinly and sloppily applied. The kitchen layout was not well planned. We are unable to open one of our refrigerator doors. We purchased our appliances prior to the remodel; still the kitchen design was not compatible with what we'd purchased. The kitchen backsplash was installed quickly and carelessly: the grout is cracking, and the square tiles are noticeably off center above the stove. The "under cabinet lighting" was screwed into our cabinets so that the sharp end of the screws were poking through the bottom of the cabinets. Our plans included a pantry/mudroom, which had to be scrapped due to poor planning. When we finally had no choice but to move in to our home in October 2021 (despite the fact that it was unfinished), we spent my. first few days there cleaning urine, grime, and pubic hair off of our "new" toilets. We still find cigarette butts in our yard. A custom-built entertainment center was damaged. A box full of our clothing was used as a trashcan (and cigarette receptacle). There is paint splattered on our flagstone patio and pool deck. Our kitchen cabinets were full of trash. The crew left behind their garbage and extra supplies for us to clean up. We have paid Bobby every cent we owed. And when we were asked to make progress payments early to accommodate Bobby's vacations, we did. Still, when we expressed concerns, we were reminded of the fact that Bobby was "trying to run a business," that it "wasn't worth it" to him to have anyone come to our home to address issues, and that there was a "million dollar project" that was Bobby's priority. At the beginning, Bobby was professional and accommodating... that did not last. I hesitated to post a review prior to our home passing a City inspection because I just want the project finished so that our family can move on. It's been a year since we moved into a construction zone, and this process has been a nightmare. I hope that sharing our experience helps others to make an informed choice.

After hiring a contractor for that (remediation) and having a third party independent testing company test, to be sure the mold was gone, I was ready to rebuild. I interviewed 3 contractors, (one recommended by the remediation company and 2 others I found on my own). To be honest this whole process is not fun, in short, it's homeowners hell. Quentin and Urban Elements stood out above the other 2 contractors for the following reasons: Quick and professional response. He answered all my questions, when I asked about something he had missed (my wall was down to the wall studs and covered in plastic so it was hard to see), he took another look and had an answer within 24 hours. One of the contractors I did NOT hire didn't even know his ROC#, and took days just to let me know his company's license number. In addition the communication was great and Quentin was always available by text and responded quickly. When I did sign with Urban Elements the contract was clear: timeline, payment schedule and completion. They adhered to everything in writing. (Contrast that to a contractor who wanted me to agree to abide by the laws of Texas, when I live in Arizona.) Additionally Quentin assured me that every subcontractor who worked on my house would be licensed. There were several subcontractors and everyone who came, was a true pro, they showed up on time, were respectful and did a great job. I honestly hope I never have to rebuild a room again but Quentin made a truly stressful experience 100% better and I feel fortunate to have found him. Lastly his bids were competitive with the other 2 bids I received.
