Momo Paradise is one of our favorite "special" lunch spots on weekdays. We love to take our little ones with us, especially since they're so family friendly. The quality of the meats and the overall experience keep us coming back -- and for the ayce lunch price (~$27pp), we think it's so worthwhile! We also get the ayce drinks with toppings ($2.55, but ask if you can check in on yelp for free drinks). The vegetable station/farmers market station is well-maintained and always stocked. They also have curry rice and plenty of noodles (veggie-based, ramen, and udon) for the carb-lovers like me. The servers are always friendly and attentive, even when they're busy. We've been frequenting Momo for a while and have been served several times by Brandon and Anderson, both of whom are very thoughtfully attentive. $25 for all you can eat? Boba and craft sodas included? Top tier quality meat? Check, check, and check. Came here for lunch and got the $25 all you can eat package. You can get a $22 package but it only comes with 2 plates of meat, which was not enough for me. Momo paradise achieves the magic of combining quality meat with unlimited portion, not healthy for my diet, but definitely awesome for my belly and mental health. Dip the meats in their signature sesame and ponzu sauce, and wash it down with craft sodas/boba teas to arrive at full tummy heaven. Servers are attentive and speedy. Overall very enjoyable experience. Only downside is that they charge 18% mandatory service charge regardless of party size. I find it a little strange since most of the stuff is self serve, except for the meats and dipping sauce. But I'd come back again still, cause the food is awesome! Pretty good place to get hotpot, and when you go for lunch, the price is pretty good. You get some excellent cuts of meat as well, and although the selection of the meats and the items weren't as extensive as other places, the quality makes up for it. I also enjoy the fact that theres 2 different soups you can choose from. They also have rice, japanese beef curry and some other pre-made things like udon salad and the like. For an added small fee, like $3 you get unlimited drinks WHICH INCLUDE BOBA, and their drinks are EXCELLENT. Jasmine tea, jasmine milk tea, passion fruit tea, yuzu tea and you can add coffee jelly, agar boba and red bean. They also have a bunch of nice craft sodas. Needless to say, that's my favorite part. If you check in, you can get the drinks for free (applies to the whole table) which was amazing. I will literally go again just for the unlimited boba. Overall, the hotpot and the food and the sides are great and I'd definitely come again especially for lunch! Service was very nice, and this place was clean as well. read more

Momo Paradise always hits the spot! I've had a lot of hot pot in my life- nothing can beat Momo. The quality is consistent and they have all the veggies I like-- carrots, zucchini, wood ear mushrooms, pumpkin, kale, napa cabbage, tomato and sometimes enoki mushrooms (or a blend of 3 mushrooms). The menu has changed a bit, now AYCE for both lunch and dinner, although I prefer the old lunch option- 2 trays of meat and unlimited veggies. My son really enjoys the Japanese curry which is included in the AYCE. Drinks are additional charge now but their selection of soft drinks and teas are worth it. Too bad they don't carry boba and lychee jelly anymore, only toppings are crystal boba, azuki beans and coffee jelly. Ice cream at the end of the meal is always a plus! Yesterday I had blueberry cheesecake and it was sooo good! The flavors change from time to time but there is always 3 flavors to choose from. ive had 5 star expereriences at momo's hacienda and torrance locations so i was looking forward to experiencing the same at the Arcadia location. we came on a sunday evening with a reservation. we arrived about 10 minutes early and had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. they are located in a plaza with 85 degrees and parking was really easy. our server was Bailey and he was very nice and attentive. he always came around to check if we needed more meat. 5 stars on service for him. I found the selection at the farmers market a little lacking, they have cabbage, 3-4 choices of fish/meat balls, carrots, and some other greens I wasnt' too interested in. was hoping for pea sprouts and more green variety. kudos for the enoki and king oyster mushrooms though. a big reason why there is a star knocked off is because there was spilled floor in the walkway of the farmers market and everytime I walked by, the food was still there (but in more disarray as people kept walking on/by it). i didn't understand how the employees who are constantly walking by couldn't stop to pick it up? especially when its a slip hazard. meat quality was great, the drink garden had a nice selection - I really enjoyed the jasmine yuzu tea. would definitely come back as I love momo and this one is so close to home. read more

Came here for a birthday celebration - no birthday promotions despite the website saying otherwise. The yelp check-in for free drinks promotion is also done. The waitress came for a last call of meat 20-25 minutes before the course ends, which surprised me because I remembered the last call being much later than that (plus it takes them 10 seconds to bring out the meat). Momo paradise is a solid 4/5 for AYCE shabu. We walked in on a rainy weeknight for dinner, and we were able to get a table since it was slow. There is a 90 minute limit to dine-in. We were winding down by the 1 hour mark, so we had more than enough time to enjoy our food and pay our bill. Service: Overall our waiter was friendly and responsive to our requests. Some of the items at the farmer's market/drink garden could have been replenish sooner (like the rice). Food: Broth - We tried all four broths since we were a party of three and shared two divider pots. My husband is a shabu-shabu purist and will always get shabu-shabu broth to "taste the meat", I have grown to appreciate the mild flavored broth deepening with cooked meats/veggies, especially at a place like Momo where you have all the food to indulge in. I liked the tomato broth the most, it was flavorful and savory. My son enjoyed the sukiyaki, I thought it was too sweet and salty (don't cook meat too long in it). The tonkatsu is probably the most underwhelming out of the flavored broths. Meat - fresh and good quality. We tried a variety, but stuck beef chuck eye and beef short rib. Our waiter checked-in often to see if we wanted more meat. My husband said this was the first time he ever felt full from shabu. Farmer's market - there's a self-served section where you can get rice, curry beef (which I love), fish balls, tofu, veggies, noodles, and salad. It was clean and a good selection. Drink station - I tried the milk tea and it was decent. The toppings are okay for a drink station. Came in about a month ago and waited to be seated~ we waited over 15 minutes!! No greeting! No one saying we will be right with you! No acknowledgement whatsoever! When we were finally greeted it wasn't warm or friendly! We were then told that there were many reservations and we would have to cut our dining time short. Momo is my go to for shabu shabu these days. This location is just as good as the Rowland location but without the crowd! There's also a parking structure so no need to worry about parking. Thank you for one of the best hot pot experiences yet. We had to make a reservation, despite going on a weekday during lunch, because the reviews said it gets pretty busy. It was a good thing we did because a lot of people who also came in after us also had reservations and some had to wait a bit for their table. I was pretty shocked that this was an AYCE place because the meat and vegetable quality were amazing. There aren't too many choices for meat, especially if you go for lunch, but it's pretty decent if you enjoy eating beef and pork - which I do. Their broth isn't super flavorful, so we had to rely on the peanut chili oil sauce we made at the sauce bar. Momo even has a drink bar, which is $2.55 per person, or you can check-in on Yelp to get it free. Definitely worth it for the amount of craft sodas and jasmine tea drinks you get access to. My favorite was the passionfruit oolong tea and the Momo Paradise-exclusive tokyo melon soda. At the end of our meal, we had a choice of 3 ice cream flavors - mint chocolate chip, blueberry cheesecake and vanilla. We got the latter two and added some red bean to the vanilla ice cream, and I even put some of the ice cream in a cup of root beer to make a lil root beer float. read more

I recommend to book a reservation so you don't have to wait as long. The service was amazing! The servers here were so kind and attentive. Its AYCE shabu shabu at $35 + 18% service charge + $3-5 for AYCE drinks. It's hard to beat considering the selection of proteins and veggies. But service has declined each time I've visited. Each time there's been only one attentive staff, either waitress or busser. This time, none. The most notable experience was when we arrived 10mins prior to our reservation and were checked in within 3mins of arrival. Half the restaurant was empty but we weren't seated for another 10mins (only when a large party arrives). The host and waitress were visibly casually meandering about at a snail's pace. No other wait staff can be seen. When seated, our order was taken quickly and came within reasonable time. Veggies weren't as fresh, restocking took a long time, and kitchen staff tossed tongs around in front of me while I was making selections. Wait staff didn't check in after we started eating despite checking in on every table around us. We waited 10mins before managing to wave down someone for the bill and dessert. There's too many good shabu joints around SGV to have to settle for this level of service. Do not recommend. read more

I chose the Shabu Shabu Soup base that was simple, yet delicious. I highly reccomend Momos to anyone visiting Arcadia and looking for a savory bite. Although pricey, with an automatic 18% employee service charge, you're looking at about $77 for two people, plus tax. As a fan of ayce hot pot restaurant (of different cultures) I was excited to try this place because my friends recommended this place. So I want to start by sharing what is unique of this place compared to other places: 1) It has a build your own boba bar. They have different tea options and the option to add boba, red bean and/or Coffee Jelly. 2) Craft Soda Menu 3) They have a smaller meat selection list but the quality of meat was better than your average ayce place. I order sukiyaki and enjoyed the broth. The meat quality was really nice considering it's an ayce place. So that was a selling point. I was excited about the boba bar until I paid the bill and realized they charge you extra for using it. So I was a little annoyed since I had no idea. Was there a sign that clarified that? I would've not grabbed a drink since I didn't even drink a lot of it. I like the buffet station with vegetables and noodles. But I have had other locations with a wider selection. So I was a little disappointed. But what they did have was still a good selection. Same with the sauce, it had a few options but you can ask for the gomadare & ponzu sauce that they bring to your table. Those sauces are good! And you can end the meal with ice cream which the server will ask what flavor you want. Another shock was the 18% gratuity they already added to your bill. We only had two people so it's not like the big party auto tip deal. Despite that, they still have an addition tipping section though those amounts are significantly lower. We arrived early evening on a quiet Sunday night as a party of four 5 minutes before our reservation but ended up in waiting an additional 15 minutes for a table to be cleaned. It appeared as if they were short staffed which is understandable, however, I'd noticed the hostess/cashier walked into the room near the door and was just standing there and chatting with her coworkers while a customer was waiting to pay. It's a shame that the customer had to call her out of the room to finish paying the bill, but even worse, she didn't look at him at all during the process or say anything and just handed him the receipt and went back to the room. It was a very disappointing sight to see. Being our first time here, our server Brandon, explained the menu and the process thoroughly so we could understand. We ordered a couple plates of each meat type and grabbed veggies and drinks from the farmers market. The only complaint I have on the food side is that the sauces were limited to the goma and ponzu. While the choices were not bad, a wider selection would be better in my opinion. Other than that, everything tasted good and Brandon was very attentive to our needs and the rest of his tables. I do wish they had a little more variety seeing how it was a $30 ayce pricing. The unlimited drinks bar was had a peach lychee oolong tea, a apple lemon yogurt drink, jasmine green tea and green milk tea. They also had numerous craft sodas, my favorite was the ginger beer. The toppings they had available was crystal boba, popping boba and red bean. For the meats they had two different cuts of beef and pork. As a human trash can that's a fiend for meat I've always wanted to try Momo Paradise. I have to say it's probably the most worth all you can eat hotpot place period. Came here for lunch and it was basically $30 for all you can eat. They also had a really cool all you can drink (not alcohol) but boba and different teas. Oolong passion fruit tea with some crystal boba? Say less! The staff was super friendly and constantly would check up on us, meaning endless supply of meat! After about 40 boxes and food coma they also offer ice cream. Pina Colada overrated but vanilla and cookies and cream hit the spot. On the side they had a pretty small vegetable and fish ball table but to be honest what more do you need than some bak choi, cabbage, and some fish balls? They also served rice and curry. I have to say the curry was better than I thought I would be and I would definitely try a bite if you've never been but not good enough to get a full bowl. Save your room for the hotpot! This is my favorite AYCE hot pot place in SoCal. I've been to the Rowland Heights location back in 2019 and enjoyed myself, but didn't think much of it until my love for hot pot grew over the years since I'm into IF Low-carb meals nowadays. I've been to a few AYCE hotpot places in SoCal including Shabuya and All That Shabu, but this places remains my top AYCE hot pot place for a few reasons. (1) You can and SHOULD rsvp online to secure your table to avoid long waits. (2) The staff has always been approachable and attentive. (3) Their venue and interior is clean. (4) The quality of their ingredients are fresh and great. (5) Yes, they don't offer as many cuts or soup bases as some of the other places, but guess what????? They provide higher quality cuts of meats and sides. (6) They serve booze (beer and sake). I like the fact that their venue isn't huge so they can do some QUALITY/CROWD control to keep things tidy and running nicely. I've been here 2 times and plan to return when I visit LA soon. I'm not a greedy person and don't want everything under the sun, so this place is a good balance of quality ingredients, ambiance, service, and price point. Momo Paradise is a popular Japanese shabu-shabu restaurant with chains across different countries. I believe Arcadia's is the first location based in the U.S. but they've opened a couple more since then. The quality of meat here, curry (yes, the curry), and AYCE makes it stand out from all the other places. How it works: - Order your soup base from the waiter when you sit down - choose between classic Shabu-Shabu, Tomato, Tonkotsu and Sukiyaki. I usually rotate between the Tomato and Sukiyaki. - You also order the meats from the waiter. Unlike other places, they're pretty quick on turnaround with the meats so don't feel like you need to order a lot up front. If you're a first timer, I suggest ordering 1 of each kind of meat to start and then from there decide which one you like the most. My personal favorite is the beef short plate (soo fatty, yum!) - Once you've ordered, you can get up and grab your own drink and shabu-shabu ingredients from the food bar or what they call "Farmer's Market" Highlights: - Drink station aka "Drink Garden" (you have to pay extra ~$2.50 but it includes unlimited drinks) - includes drinks like milk tea, passion fruit tea, sodas, etc. - In addition to shabu-shabu ingredients, the "Farmer's Market" also includes things like udon, salad and curry - Japanese curry rice is so good here AND they serve it with fukujinzuke (red pickles) - High quality beef - They offer 1 ice cream per person at the end. The black cherry flavor is my favorite, but unfortunately they switch up the flavors so not always a guarantee they'll have it.
