The food is always really good! The service is friendly. However, it is very often smokey inside. My husband doesn't mind the smell, but I have long hair and hate that it soaks up the smoke. I won't go inside if I have to go anywhere else afterwards. The portions are very generous and we often share our plates. We also enjoy getting the family meals to feed the whole family. Absolutely loved stopping here whenever we were in Utah. Unfortunately the Idaho Falls location struggles! Skip the drive through if you want the correct food you asked for, and forget getting any teriyaki sauce on your teriyaki meats. They can't even manage to get the correct sauces in the bag when you ask at the window. If you go in the evenings hopefully you don't want brown rice. They run out so often it's obviously a crowd favorite, yet they can't figure out how to have more on hand or cook up a batch. I ordered through Uber eats, (my Uber eats person was amazing). The restaurant forgot to give me dressing for my salad, they gave me warm drinks. And when I mean warm drinks, I mean the drinks were hot/warm never were chilled at restaurant straight from package. Why would I want to drink juice that's warm. They gave me three different meats, and only one container of sauce for one of the meats (Katsu sauce) when I ordered different sauces for every meet so I had to eat meat with no sauces!? Like wtf I wanted the teriyaki sauce to make the steak teriyaki!! so I just ate cooked steak pieces and cooked chicken pieces with no teriyaki sauce. My salad was also warm. I had to throw it in my mini fridge in my hotel room along with the drinks. I expect better from your employees and business. The branch in Twin Falls is 100% better. The BOGO brought me in... They made us order the mini to use the special, so I was irritated right off the bat. The order came and it was more than enough for me and my wife didn't finish hers. The teriyaki chicken was fantastic, the macaroni salad was spot on island style, the rice was perfect. My skepticism turned to complete satisfaction! Both my wife and I were impressed! My only complaint was the limited menu. Fresh pineapple and mango should be a given for a Hawaiian restaurant. Loco-moco is an easy must have for a Hawaiian quickie.
