I was in shock as a) I've had one cavity in my 40 years; and b) I had a cleaning 6 months prior by a different DDS with no mention of any cavities. I declined the treatment. My suspicion that this was an attempt to bamboozle me into unnecessary treatment was confirmed yesterday after treatment by another DDS who also found no cavities - this was (again) just 6 months after my treatment at FBD. It's unethical to behave in this manner and I hope other patients stick up for themselves and avoid this type of fleecing (but keep flossing).

The hygienist, Jennifer, was gentle during my x-rays and cleaning which helped ease my nerves. Dr. Mateen informed me that I had a cavity and the office assistant was able to confirm with my insurance and tell me how much I would owe out of pocket. I figured I would have to come back another day for the filling but she informed me that he could do it the same day if I had time. This made me nervous because I wasn't expecting to get a filling the same day but I decided to just get it over with. Key came to take me to another room and explained the filling process which eased my nerves. Dr. Mateen joined her and also explained the process and after care. Dr. Mateen and Key were gentle and made my numbing and filling quick and easy. The office has a welcoming atmosphere and everyone I encountered was nice. I had a great experience at Fort Bend Dental Grand Parkway and highly recommend for all your dental needs.

Two years ago, a friend recommended Inspire Smiles after I was struggling with a botched root canal and crown. The dentist who had performed the procedure refused to acknowledge the problem, instead suggesting it was a complex orthodontic issue, when in reality, the crown was poorly done, resulting in a leak and infection. Because I dreaded the hour-long drive to Inspire Smiles but after a few weeks I realized that if I wanted to resolve my pain and dental issue, I would need to make the drive. From the very first visit I knew I had found a better option with Inspire Smile. The office is immaculate, the staff is professional and respectful, and the environment is welcoming and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like warm blankets and excellent TV options to keep you comfortable during procedures. During my first visit, my dental plan didn't cover much, so I ended up paying more out of pocket than I had anticipated, but it was well worth it. Despite having other patients to attend to, Dr. Rhodes never made me feel rushed. The procedure was a success--after about two weeks of alternating between ibuprofen and Tylenol every few hours, I left the office pain-free. The only discomfort I experienced was from holding my mouth open for an extended period and a slight irritation from the clamp, but these were minor compared to the relief I felt from the dental nightmare I had endured with the previous dentist. Since that first visit, I've continued to be impressed by the care and professionalism of the team at Inspire Smiles. So much so, I moved my son to their practice as well. While they aren't a pediatric dentist, their patience, kindness, and skill surpass many pediatric offices I've seen. They are hands down the best dentist my son has ever seen for routine cleanings. I hope he never needs a filling, but if he does, I wouldn't trust anyone else. I recommend Inspire Smiles to everyone I talk to about dentistry. Diem, the hygienist, took our xrays and did our cleanings. She was really nice, and her hands were quick, but soft as feathers. When it was over, I couldn't believe she was done! I have a permanent retainer on my bottom teeth from previous ortho work, and usually when I go in for a cleaning they whine and moan about it. They tell all about how difficult it is to get around it to clean it, and always recommend I have it removed. She didn't even flinch over it,and never once told me to have it removed (extra points for that). Our exam with Dr. Littman was wonderful also. He is charming, energetic, funny and HONEST!
