I am currently feeling scammed and mislead by this establishment. I came for two services that amounted to around $2,200: Mouth guard and fitting: $867 Botox for TMJ - procedure: $650; Botox supply: $600; a total of $1,250. After receiving treatment I moved to Austin. This presented limitations to receive solutions for their poor quality of service and products. The mouth guard process was absolutely excruciating in timeliness and pain. The tech (who clearly had no idea what she was doing) administered a total of 7 failed molds. After the final and "successful" mold my mouth was raw and bleeding from the clumsy and ill-trained worker. When I got the mouth guard, it barely fit and broke within a month. $867 dollars down the drain. When I signed the "treatment plan" I was led to believe by Munné that the $1,250 charge would account for future procedures for the Botox regarding my TMJ. I asked many different times if future Botox procedures would be included in the price. I asked two different techs and Munné herself and they all said that all future applications would be included in the price until my symptoms were relieved. I was scammed and mislead by this establishment and even with asking clear and concise questions, I was not given succinct facts to lead me to make the correct decision on a treatment plan that would suit me fiscally, pragmatically, and medically. Such a shame. At least I will know not to come back to this money hungry sales professional, I mean "DDS". I just got off phone the receptionist. On the call he was trying to coerce me to come in for another appointment to flush more money down the toilet. Get a grip and do better. Dr. Munne was referred to us by my mom's oral oncologist from MD Anderson. My mom has been seeing Dr. Munne for months now and we are very comfortable with her. We have had major procedures done and everytime we visit, we're given thorough briefing on what will be done and why. My sister who is a dentist from CT always joins the "briefing" :) too! Every question we have always gets answered very well. Staff is wonderful. At times they tell that they are praying for my mom and that certainly warms our hearts! read more

Appointments are generally always on time as scheduled, and if there is a delay the staff keeps us updated. She always asks for feedback during our visits so she can make improvements when needed. Was referred here for dental implants by general dentist. The staff here is exceptional. Everyone is very courteous and professional. I was put at ease right away. The surgery went very well. I was prepped thoroughly beforehand, and was able to contact the doctor via cell after hours for questions afterwards. It's clear that everyone here is well equipped in providing dental medicine and patient care. The hygienist has a dental surgical degree from abroad! Highly recommend. read more

I got a very scammy vibe off of my experience with Dr. Munne. Red flag #1 - a poster advertising weight loss shakes at the very front of the office. Red flag #2 - offering a $90 cancer screening that my dentist performs for free 2x per year. Red flag #3 - being charged for said exam even though I refused it (to be fair, they did reverse the charge when I complained) Red flag #4 - told I had 'moderate' gum disease that required a nearly $2,000 treatment, although I was referred for orthodontic treatment not gum disease. I see a dentist 2x per year faithfully and have never been told that my gums are an issue or had any symptoms of gum disease. Somehow moderate gum disease is a symptom-less condition (though very expensive and complicated to treat) according to Dr. Munne. Needless to say I will not be agreeing to any treatment by Dr. Munne and I will advise you to get a second opinion before you do so. I will add that the office staff, though very nice, is not very detail oriented. I had to correct my basic information several times in the course of setting up my appointments. read more

I never utilized them for their Dental Services but I had applied for a position at their office and found that the hiring / interview process was extremely unprofessional. Their lack of communication and scheduling skills makes it hard for me to recommend them to any future employees. However I do not wish this review to reflect the hard working individuals at the actual office. A year ago, I realized that I had a problem when I spotted one tooth that was very loose, and than several more. I chose Dr Munne to save my teeth after consulting with 5 other top notch Periodontists in Houston. The plan that she recommended was different from all the rest. Half of the periodontists told me that my prognosis was very poor, and that it would be best to get implants. Dr. Munne was the one Periodontist who told me with confidence that she could save all of my teeth. I just had my third and last surgery with Dr. Munne, and cannot say enough good things about her. She is smart, personable, up to date on the latest techniques and research, and has a top notch staff to match. They even sent me handwritten get well notes after each surgery. Great periodontist and great team! I discovered that I needed a gum graft, which mortified me, but Dr. Munne and her team took excellent care of me quickly and painlessly. I'm terrified of all dental procedures, but this truly was a walk in the park. The worst part was just the restrictions of certain food and drink required for successful healing afterwards, which is actually a great excuse for a diet/cleanse/detox. I've been coming to the office of Dr Munne for about 8 years now. And she is God sent. She has saved my teeth that I thought I would lose. I have had from cleanings to fillings to surgery and have all turned out well and quick recovery time. Dr Munne and her staff always has a great attitude. I was hesitant to to go to Dr. Munne at first because I didn't have dental insurance back then, but I needed quality treatment and didn't regret my choice. The front desk staff is friendly, but it is not knowledgeable about anything regarding your appointments, follow-ups or basically anything ! After a very expensive out of pocket procedure, directly paid to Dr. Munne ( they do not take insurance or were unwilling to explain other than opening up a credit care account with them )and a four hour procedure, the staff quickly pushed out my husband in a wheelchair to the elevator while not realizing I was in the lobby waiting for him. They were ready to rush him out and not concerned with making sure he was ok or there was a driver for him. We were only given a piece of paper w instructions while in the parking lot and no time to ask questions because by this time my husband who had just had surgery was out in a 100 degree weather. Dr. Munne never personally explained anything post procedure. We were told the doctor would call that evening to see how my husband was doing, she didn't call until two days after. I was a patient for 6 months and I can not recommend this place. I have the following reasons for this: 1. The doctor was never in time, when I came at 7:30 am doctor showed by 9 am. So, if you decided to get an appointment please know that it will take longer than you think. 2. Very expensive periodontist for moderate gum grafting she charge me $ 20,000. I was sent to Dr. Anna Munne mid crown replacement in a rush, post double emergency root canal for oral surgery on my gums. I was exhausted and a bit nervous about it and wasn't the happiest patient. From the moment I walked into the office, Dr. Anna Munne & Team were professional, caring and very understanding! They calmed my nerves and were sympathetic to my concerns. The procedure was over before I knew it, with virtually zero pain. The drugs worked like they had explained and my recovery was quick and I had no complications. Worst dentist in the history of dentists. Charged me $2300 for a root canal I did not need. Shifted a root in my mount then charged me another $1700 to fix the issue they created, while leaving me in pain for 10 days until they got more money (total of $3200 after insurance--which they also lied about my coverage). I subsequently had to pull the same tooth, was placed in the hospital with nerve damage (getting fentanyl injections the pain was so bad), and then on carbamazepine with nerve damage for 2 months. When you mention this to them they do not respond, and Texas, being full of cowboys and hillbillies, has the worst medial and dental malpractice laws I have ever encountered (I'm sure Oklahoma, Alabama, etc are also bad). If you are from east or west coast I advise you to fly home for medical and dental work if possible. In the end it will be safer and cheaper! Hahaha. read more

I am a new patient so this is a first impression (no pun intended). Dr. Munne's exam was thorough, detailed, meticulous. She took her time and clearly explained what she saw. She seemed to be quite insightful, for example correctly inferring that I have a sleep apnea from her examination. I get the sense that she is unusually skilled and experienced in diagnostics. Dr Munne is obviously a dedicated and empathetic practitioner. She seemed to care sincerely about my health. Overall an auspicious start. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a provider. My first appointment lasted almost 4 hours! I was in at 2:50 p.m. and did not leave until 6:30p.m. I had to tell them I have to leave! Secondly, they said my insurance was going to cover a certain amount of procedure, however, I had to pay for all of the services in full. I was taken back as this is not how it normally works. They said my insurance company would reimburse me. They had me open up a Care credit account which I found very invasive. My procedure went fine. However, when it came to filing the claim with the insurance company, they denied it. The insurance company denied it because they never got a pre-determination of treatment. Not only that, I had to follow up with the staff multiple times for status after they said they would call me back. Needless to say, none of the staff actually knows what they are doing. If you go in for a consultation make sure you know what charges are being incurred. I was given a somewhat expensive x-ray that was not even needed at this point in the process. I was very surprised by the bill I received upon leaving. At the end of the 3 hour consultation I eventually got some quotes and I have to say that I think that they were way over the top, at least a few thousand more than some of my other quotes. Even though I had given my insurance information and it had been verified I overheard her questioning if I even had insurance due to her misreading the paperwork, I thought that was very unprofessional. the staff immediately greeted me with smiles and I was seated promptly. Once seated I waited a mere 10 minutes before receiving my teeth cleaning. The cleaning was thorough and thankfully not too painful. The experience was a positive one. I have been a patient of Dr. Munne for quite some time.
