Just a good, classic and affordable donut shop. $2 for a donut that is this good is hard to beat.

Upon leaving that other place I again smelled the baked goods so I decided to stop by. It was a bit of a line walking in and continued to grow while being there but I could see a huge variety of pastries behind the glass. I was impressed by the variety they had and decided to try a few different ones I wouldn't normally try. I picked up a cinnamon crunch donut and few different custard filled ones. For someone who isn't normally a fan of donuts let alone any filled ones, they were by far some of best donuts I have ever had. I went later in the day and was very impressed by the quality. I look forward to getting a box to go next visit.

Service is straight forward since they are open 24/hrs at the nob hill location. The donut holes looked great, but they lacked that classic fluffy texture, missing the mark on what makes a donut hole truly satisfying. The apple fritter was massive for the price, but the apple flavor was a bit too subtle. The crème brûlée donut was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it's a nice space, but the search for a top-tier donut hole under $5 continues!

Service: The owner is nice; he's operating by himself, so please be patient when a line occurs. There are no free samples to minimize line wait times, and more. Ambiance: Located in a courtyard with outdoor ordering. Ordered slightly after 6 pm on a Saturday, and quite a line developed behind me. Milkbomb sandwich $15 (5/5): Ordered with ube and hojicha in ube pandesal. This was delicious! Can choose up to 2 flavors to be put into bread of choice, and it's pressed together, then cut in half. They're pretty big, so you can share with someone. It's pricey, but I think it's worth splitting it.

The service was good, and I went at night when there wasn't a long line. There are a couple of tables outside to sit. However, it does feel a bit pricey and I hear the line is super long at times. And the matcha ice cream barely tasted like matcha. There isn't much decor to speak of, it's a store front only and no interior. And the sign for "reasons we don't give samples" is funny but feels excessive. I still thoroughly enjoyed it though and will likely come again.

Our whole house find their malasadas amazing - the pineapple and mango fillings in particular - and my husband is a big fan of the raspberry lemonade filled donut. Currently my new favorite is their cinnamon cereal special donut, which is just amazingly sweet and tasty. The fritters are HUGE, and we generally just nibble on them on and off the day. One warning - if you're in a rush, come EARLY on Friday mornings, because there are a number of bike tours that like to stop here and it can take a while to get through them all! On a personal note, these guys are heroes. Back during the age of COVID, they kept people's spirits up and gave us all a reason to keep going. Each day, all day, people would mask up and line up down the block six feet apart, waiting for their chance to enter the store and order something delicious to keep their spirits up. The world felt like it was ending, but at least it came with tasty, warm and fresh donuts.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience this time. I called yesterday (9/11) at 7am and spoke with Carmella about ordering a giant maple bacon donut for pickup the following morning. She let me know that they might not have bacon, but someone was possibly going to get some, and asked what my backup donut would be if they didn't have any. She took my name and phone number and said she would call me if they weren't able to get the bacon. Right after getting off the phone, I called back because I realized we hadn't discussed a pickup time. I asked if I could pick it up at 8am, and I was told it would actually be ready by 7am. I arrived this morning to pick up my order, only to find out that no one knew anything about it and the donut hadn't been made. Thankfully, they were able to put together a giant maple sprinkle donut for me at the last minute, which I really appreciated because it was important to me to continue our birthday tradition. What upset me the most was that after speaking with multiple people, no one apologized or acknowledged the mistake. I understand that things happen, but a simple apology and better communication would have made a big difference. I still like Bob's Donuts and will continue getting their giant donuts, but I hope they can improve their customer service when something goes wrong.

We arrived on a Saturday morning around 7:15 and there was one person in front of us. We were promptly greeted by a very helpful employee and placed our orders. Randy chose a blt minus the lettuce and I ordered a veg (bell pepper, onion, tomato, mushroom) omelette with bacon. We both got the pesto bagel which has a layer of Asiago on top. Randy loved his and raved about the amount of bacon lol. They are not shy with it. My sandwich was also delicious but the omelette was HUGE and I only ended up eating about 1/3 of it. The veggies really made it. We weren't able to actually taste the pesto of the bagel when eating the sandwich but because I didn't eat all mine, we were able to try just the bagel with a bit of cream cheese and it was so flavorful. And we got a chocolate cream donut to share. The chocolate on it is a darker chocolate and the cream inside was so good. An excellent donut. The customer service here is stellar. Super helpful and patient employees and just a chill vibe with great music make this a must stop when in the area.
