My office catered MK's Kitchen for an event, and it was delicious! The garlic noodles, chicken adobo, and lumpia are incredible!

Their sisig was okay--I wish it was a little more crispy, and it was kind of drowning in oil. They also sell the viral Ilocos empanadas; ours was soggy, extremely greasy, and not crispy. The owners are really nice, and I truly want to support a fellow Filipino. We'll have to give it another shot.

I love coming to My Haus for the Sunday brunch buffet…read more I enjoy the home style cooking, which makes you feel like you're eating at someone's home, and the variety of dishes they offer, including desserts and complimentary drinks. I was born in the Philippines and remember Tang often being served as an afternoon refreshment. This was one the complimentary drinks, aside from strong coffee, included in the low price of around $15, excluding tax. I appreciate the woman working there letting me what dishes didn't have pork, which I don't consume. This is a super casual hole-in-wall establishment. The food isn't spectacular, but it's satisfying comfort food. I'd say the chicken adobo was well made and flavorful. The beef mechado was okay. I also enjoyed the fried eggplants, fried tuyo (salted dried fish), champorado, and ginataan dessert Again, I come here for the Sunday brunch buffet with friends/family members who crave a variety of affordable Filipino home style cooking in one sitting.

But Tisoy Curryative Cuisines provided such excellent service in every way. The food was fantastic with many gluten free options for my husband and other guests who have Celiac or gluten allergies. The presentation of the food and tables was beautiful. The staff were friendly, gracious and accommodating and our guests gave many compliments on how good the food was. From start to finish, the service was professional and really made our special event worry free. I would highly recommend this exceptional catering for your next big event!

As a mestiza bride, serving Filipino food at my wedding was non negotiable but finding a full…read moreservice Filipino caterer in San Diego was honestly so frustrating. Every local option I came across would only drop off the food with zero staffing for cocktail hour, buffet service, bussing, or a late night snack. Then an ad for Tisoy Curryative Cuisines popped up on my Instagram feed & I am so glad it did! From the very first message, Matthew the owner was super responsive & made the whole process so easy. He got back to me within 24 hours, his pricing fit our budget perfectly, & he even reached out to our venue on his own to confirm everything was good to go before we even booked. No issues whatsoever. It also meant so much to me to hire a Filipino owned business that actually knows this food rather than some generic catering company just claiming they could pull it off. On the wedding day Tisoy completely exceeded my expectations. They served lumpia during cocktail hour in the cutest little appetizer dishes with sweet chili sauce & honestly it tasted exactly like my mom's recipe. I never got to do a tasting beforehand so I was a little nervous but the lumpia recipe was perfect. Our guests were obsessed. The buffet setup was gorgeous & their staff served at the line which was great for portion control & kept the line moving fast. The star of the night was the whole roasted lechon. It was absolutely beautiful & cooked to perfection. We did a lechon cutting photo instead of a cake cutting & it came out so good. We had guests who flew in from the Philippines & even they said they could tell it was cooked by Filipinos. That honestly says it all. The staff bussed all the tables as dinner wrapped up & then came back out at 9pm with a late night lumpia snack that everyone went crazy for. The next morning I woke up & Tisoy had already posted a reel of our wedding on Instagram. I wasn't expecting that at all and it was such a sweet & impressive touch. If you need a filipino caterer who truly shows up, knows the food, & handles every single detail from start to finish, book Tisoy Curryative Cuisines. You won't regret it! I can't wait to throw another party so I can hire them again!!!

We have catered from here for parties as well, and got great compliments on the food so it's easy to recommend this place. I've had great experience all around with customer service. The workers look like they just don't want to help. The girls at the cashier ate fine. Its highly unorganized here. Its very dirty and the produce, meats, seafood is not fresh. The fruits and veggies are often spoiled, old, and look compromised. Also, its very expensive here. They sometimes have sales on shrimp but that's all really. I come here to buy packaged things like dry noodles or bottled ingredients. I buy here as a last resort. My greatest peeve about this place is the entrance. You have to walk through the check out line to go into the store. Or you can walk pass or through tables of people eating their disgusting food from Phil house. This place is grossly inefficient in floor layout. Of all grocery stores, this by far is the worst.
