I got vegan pho, veggie spring rolls, and veggie stir fry for take out through the restaurant website. Delivery was quick and my food was hot when it arrived. I loved everything. The vegan pho Is absolutely delicious and the broth has great flavor. All of the vegetables are fresh. They give a large portion. I will definitely be returning! read more

It's become like a ritual for us now: have an enjoyable Saturday night out ( with all the necessary precautions ), then Sunday lunch here to round out the weekend. We usually get the ribeye phở, a non-phở plate (like one of their bánh mì or bún plates), an appetizer or two, and a couple of their many options for drinks (milk tea, bubble tea, smoothies, viet iced coffee) and share each between the two of us, assaulting our taste buds with a symphony of Vietnamese flavor. Mind you, I'm an American-born Vietnamese, so I cannot speak with much authority towards "authenticity" and whatnot, but I have had my fair share of Viet food tours around Chicago, LA (Little Saigon), Vietnam proper, and of course all of the home-cooked meals I had growing up, and I can tell you this place hits all the right notes for me: plenty of nostalgia without anything that's "way out there" as to be challenging to non-Vietnamese tastes. I plan on making my way through all of their menu options before long. The owner is usually there and she's incredibly attentive to our needs. It's a self-service establishment, but she keeps it conversational and intimate enough as to still feel like you're being taken care of like at a traditional restaurant. I'm so glad we have this place here so that we don't have to make the trek all the way out to Argyle Street when the cravings strike. read more

This is one of my favorite takeout places in the city but I also love sitting and eating. There's a fair amount of seating and each table has a small container of chili oil that you don't get with the takeout. The portions are massive and a really good price. I had the Cajun rice and added in shrimp, it was incredibly flavorful and one of my favorite dishes. I also ordered the brown sugar boba as my drink. Highly recommend to anyone in Roscoe looking for a quick & delicious bite! read more

Mk Noodle exceeded all of my expectations! To start, the crab rangoons are some of the best I have ever had. They were very large, full, and soft. I opted for the pad see ew with shrimp which was very good. My roommate had the brisket and meatball pho. I tried it and really liked that as well! It's a cute, small place, and the woman working at the front was so sweet! Awesome neighborhood spot read more

First time visiting as heard great reviews from friends. So decided, let's try it out. We arrived and found street parking easily, even for it being a Thursday after 7p. WIN! Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed it had an ordering kiosk and this brought on a big sighfrom me, as there were 4 people in my party and since we have never been here before - we had to view the menu huddled around this machine (only 2 available) and other patrons were coming in to dine in as well or order for carry out. We got through it as quickly as possible - app, entrees and drinks, picked a table and just waited. It wasn't too long and we heard a name called from the counter / kitchen door. Tip - give a simple name when ordering (pronunciation of name may be butchered when called out). We first received our drinks- Delicious Brown Sugar Matcha - sweet but perfect amount of sweetness. Taro and Coconut Milk Tea - loved it !!! Matcha Milk Tea - definitely order again. Our app came and my dad ate it up!! He loved the peanut sauce!! Nem Nuong Spring Rolls with Vietnamese Grilled Sausage - my little one said the meat tasted like Filipino Longanisa (sausage) and pleasant surprise was the crunch of a rolled egg roll wrapper - crisp to perfection and gave a great overall texture. That is something new to me and we even ordered one to go. Finally, our Pho was called to pickup. Big bowls and we were hungry. Tom Yum Seafood- great Broth flavor. Something new a never had it as Pho. I've had it as side soup But not as big a bowl for pho. It was savory and the shrimp and squid were perfect and filling. My noodles though, too mushy as picked rice noodles. There were other choices, if a next time, I'll try something else. Chicken and Egg Pho - it was tasty and alot of chicken. The noodles again though - too mushy. Seafood Pho - my dad found it good. He did need to add a little something for taste. But he adds salt to everything lol. Overall, I'll try again, as it's location is in a neighborhood I frequent regularly. Their spring rolls and drinks reeled in a repeat customer. read more

MK Noodle is a great addition to the West Lakeview/Southport neighborhood. Prices are incredibly reasonable, portions are huge, and food is tasty. You also order your food off of kiosk touchscreens which is pretty cool and convenient- because sometimes I don't want to talk to anyone! read more

Not bad pho. The ordering system was contactless so very Covid protocol friendly. They just call your name and you pick up your own food. I enjoyed the broth itself. No complaints except just a tiny bit in the sweet side. Overall I enjoyed my meal. And staff was nice. read more

Soon as you walk in your greeted by a self ordering kiosk kinda like at McDonald's now the descriptions are pretty clear so it was pretty easy to place our order and after paying for our order we went and found some seating and awaiting our names to be called to pick up our order Nice spot for some creative Pho and Thai dishes We stopped by today to try the pho and had some good choices and comb better than most spots we've visited the Pho broth is the key to everything and it didn't disappoint very flavorful with spice's and bone broth which is kinda what we were looking for especially during this cold and flu season the ribeye was thin and full of flavor mixed with the broth and noodles it was perfect and much needed for me (it's been a while since I've had pho ) very good amount of beef and noodles with plenty of broth didn't even need anything else I usually add sriracha to kick the spice up We had also got the sweet spicy basil rice with bbq pork I really enjoyed the freshness of the vegetables and sauce the bbq pork was very tasty but could of used more meat in the dish it comes with the rice on the side but didn't really use it just tasted fine and was kinda full from the pho so I just picked at the dish Did have some homemade hot chili paste on the tables but not much left so it was good and spicy but rice needed a bit more kick for me Overall I came for the PHO and I'll be back for the Pho It's that good read more

My go-to Vietnamese restaurant when I am craving a warm comforting bowl of pho or satisfying grilled pork vermicelli. The ingredients are always fresh and plentiful and the dishes are spot on. I only wish they had more rice dishes. Though I will say the pineapple fried rice is a new craving. So glad Lakeview has this neighborhood gem!! read more

Great Pho. Large portion and variety. Got a steak and brisket combo. Totally enough for 2. Also split a sandwich. Fresh and great spice. This and 2 drinks for under $40. Hooray. read more

Came here with my girlfriend and we have decided this is the best Pho in Chicago. The flavors of the broth are true to authentic Pho (something we found was missing from all other places we've tried) and the portions are very large. The pho had all the right ingredients and came with all the toppings you would expect from a quality pho joint. We got the mango and watermelon smoothies and both were fresh and delicious. The women who run the establishment are both kind and friendly. Decor and vibe is very homey and comforting. Would definitely come back again! read more

This is the ideal place to hit after a workout. The staff is very friendly and the food portions are amazing.

Pho and banh mi are amazing here. Huge portions for a great value. MK and staff are so kind and efficient.

I love Mk Noodle! Portions were huge and prices were pretty standard for Chicago. I had a whole second serving of pho to take home, which is always a bonus! Service was pleasant, I even giggled with one of the employees. Will def be coming back to explore more of the menu. read more

Very nice people. Bahn mi sesame beef and lemongrass were very good. Takeout packed with care and had jalapeños packed separately. Hot sauce on request...spicy but not blow-your-top off and the lady asked if I wanted more. On top of it, they added a small bag of fries with each sandwich. Just the right amount. I was very impressed. I was only disappointed to see a sign after I paid with my credit card. 10 percent off if paying in cash. Kiosks at the front. Very clean and thoughtful. Definitely will do bahn mi again and will have to try the spring rolls and pho. Very happy. Only wish they were closer. read more

Great customer service. Generous portions. Fair prices. Plethora of drink options. I will say my only gripe is the ordering process which isn't very intuitive. There are kiosks to the left where you place your order. Not your traditional walk in and they seat you/take your order right when you sit down kind of Vietnamese restaurant. I would suggest for them to place visible signage where to order. In addition, you're supposed to bus your own table which is totally fine but again, visible signage around the restaurant would be helpful. The order is very sweet and proud of her food as she should be. I'm from SF and I've had pho up and down San Jose and I'll say their food is on par with San Jose Vietnamese restaurants. Try this place out and don't forget to grab some boba. They have brown sugar milk teas here!! Yummm! read more

Amazing food and incredibly friendly owner! MK Noodle is now our favorite spot in Chicago for casual Vietnamese food. You order at a kiosk near the entrance, which is efficient. We ordered pho, spring rolls, porkchops, and a bahn mi. The pho had a great base with lots of flavor and the beef was delicious! The porkchops were better than all the other lemongrass porkchops we've had in the Chicagoland area. The shrimp spring rolls came with a great peanut sauce and were a good portion size, and the beef bahn mi was tasty with tender, well-flavored meat. Everything was fairly priced but our interaction with the owner was what made our experience stand out. She was so sweet and told us she's only been open for two years but has 25 years of experience running a restaurant. We wish her success at MK Noodle and will definitely be back! read more

Came with my two little girls and husband. Kid-Friendly place! You order at the kiosk and then pick up from the counter. We had the fresh spring rolls - delicious and very fresh. Steak and meatball pho and steak tripe and meatball pho - a little salty but very good. We ordered extra noodles, but really didn't need to. The bowl was packed with noodles. Fried rice with chicken - packed with peas and carrots. Very tasty. Overall very nice experience! I would recommend this place and definitely return! read more

So happy that an authentic Vietnamese restaurant opened in Lakeview so we don't always have to make the trek to Argyle all the time! I've gotten takeout from here probably 3x so far, and it has never disappointed. The pho broth flavors is on point, and each order comes with a generous portion of noodles and toppings - probably more than you would get in a typical Argyle restaurant! The prices are reflective of the location, but that is to be expected. In addition to pho, they have other Vietnamese comfort food as well like bahn mi and my husband's favorite dish - Bahn Xeo, which is a savory crepe-like dish. There are also some Thai dishes on the menu. We haven't tried the bahni mi or the other stir fry type noodles yet, but would definitely get the Bahn Xeo again. This had become our new go-to for Vietnamese food and would like to try some of their drinks next time. read more

fantastic find... although vietnamese - all their dishes (thai) are great. i wish they had a non tofu veggie option for banh mi but it is quite yummy--including the fries! happy for a legit boba spot to land in our 'hood too! friendly service..not the fastest, but the freshest! read more

Here's the thing about a mandatory tip where it's built into the bill. It's for the service. This place, you order at a self-serve kiosk, you pull your own drink from a cooler, you bus your own table and put the dirties in a tray. If you need more napkins or more water, you go get it. You even pour your own beer(!) which I don't believe is exactly legal. Basically, I'm tipping someone clandestinely to say my name where I have to walk up and get my own food. If you are trying to offset paying your cooking staff a living wage or something, that's a crappy biz model or, at the very least, be upfront about it. To automatically add a tip when doing nothing that deserves a tip is shady AF. read more

Honestly woah this place is amazing. I grew up in Garden Grove, which is known as Little Saigon in Southern California, and I can say without a doubt that the pho here is comparable to the great pho I had out there! I love the vibe here. It's so chill, and there was a lady up front who was so so kind and attentive. I am so incredibly happy I finally found a great pho place in Chicago!! The service was great, the restaurant and bathroom were super clean, and the location is also convenient for me. I had the pho steak & brisket and the broth was rich and flavorful. There weren't any overpowering spices, rather they all blended and created a party in my mouth with each slurp. I will definitely be coming back to try their banh mi and boba as well. read more

You order your food on a screen kiosk and then seat yourself at any open table. They will call out your name to pick up your food at the front counter. Our food was ready shortly after we put in our order which was great! We had 3 people and ordered shrimp spring rolls, pork egg rolls, and 3 pho combos. Everything was delicious!! The pho broth was savory, tasty, and full of flavor. Also the soup portion sizes are huge - which is great. If you're not super hungry or don't want leftovers then you can definitely order one pho bowl and share it between 2 people. Our favorite pho restaurant closed due to COVID last year and we're so happy we found another authentic Vietnamese restaurant close by! We will definitely be back to try their other dishes. read more

Amazing taste, staff, and their Vietnamese iced coffee is the bomb. I've also had the seafood pho, and 10/10.

The food is great for me and my girlfriend we are vegans and have options that make our experience so much better. We recommend the vegetarian pho and the vegetarian bon mi. We love love loveeeee Mk Noodle. Everything is always delicious and everyone is so kind. One of my favorite places by my apartment!

We weree intrigued by the menu - wondering if they could make Vietnamese and Thai dishes equally well. This time we tried the Thai, which was very good. My wife had the Sesame Brown Noodles and really enjoyed it. I had the Pad Woon Sen, which was as good as any I have had at various Thai restaurants over the years. We are looking forward to having Banh Mi in the near future and some Pho when it turns cold. While there is not much opportunity to interact with the staff, when you do they are welcoming and friendly. Even though you order at the kiosk and pick up your order, one of the owners checked in with us to see how we liked the food. A "bare bones" place, but you are not paying for the atmosphere. You are paying reasonable prices for good sized portions of tasty food, read more
