I've been on a pho kick lately everyone since fall started. I was in the neighborhood and saw this place had stellar reviews so I said, why not check it out? I ordered the pork spring rolls and steak/brisket/meatball pho. The pork spring rolls were soo good and huge! I definitely had to take 2 home cause the order comes with 4 rolls. The crispy pork inside was well seasoned with a light sweetness. Highly recommend. The pho was fantastic! The broth was superrrr flavorful and really hit the spot. I got to see the owner engage with her customers. She greeted everyone and was so kind and grateful to everyone for dining at her restaurant. She had great energy and hospitality! So I understand why her food is cherished within the neighborhood.
I got to come here on a Friday night. It was 8:30pm. When you first walk in, you'll see the ordering machines. Then after you order, seat yourself anywhere that's open. My friend and I secured our seat first while we waited for people to finish ordering. Once there was an open machine, we order two pho and one spring roll. We also got an additional bowl of noodle and soup since one of our friends ate dinner earlier. We also ordered two Thai teas. To start, the Thai teas were the perfect ratio. It had the sweetness and you can still taste the tea. Afterwards, we waited for them to call our name so we can grab our food. They don't seem to go in the order that you ordered so keep that in mind. Two other tables who ordered after us got their food first. Once we got our food and took our pictures, we started to eat. Overall, the food was tasty and correctly portioned. I'm glad I took the risk to come to the pho place I googled! I will be coming back.
I got a bun shrimp which was really good. The shrimp were well seasoned. The spring rolls were also pretty standard/good. I'd go back to try their pho and other menu items. They have a couple kiosks which is convenient. Also, it's a 10% discount if you pay with cash. Crew was really nice and there's a decent amount of seating.
We walked in and ordered at the kiosk and you seat yourself. The food came out quickly and they call your name. The banh mi was alright didn't have that much flavor and was a little cold. The Banh xeo or Vietnamese crepe was crispy and good. Not like other crepe I have, they grill their pork. It could have included more lettuce for us to wrap it in but overall this was good. We also got their avocado smoothie with boba which brings me back to my childhood. The ambiance inside is pretty nice and cute and only two tables by the window.

Although we enjoyed our meal, I wouldn't recommend the drinks there. None of our drinks tasted right - it was either watered down, or not enough flavor. Paid street parking. We came late in the evening so we had no issue there.

Checking off the list for MK noodle's steak Pho featured on some of the best pho places in Chicago. Haven't had pho in a while but thought it was fairly standard. The broth is very simple and the steak wasnt as rare I normally like. After a few bites, it lacks the beefy depthness I've come to enjoy from a good pho. I was surprised to see fries when I order the banh mi. The sandwich is nicely filled and the pickled daikon/carrots are very good. Think I'd opt for the sandwich for taste and value. MK Noodle is self checkout whether you dine in or order take out. Your name is called to pick up and you bus your own tray. I do like this concept. Do note, take out has a fee (forgot what it is, maybe around $2). They have water stations and old magazines where you seat yourself.

We've been craving good, authentic pho especially since we came back from Vietnam! This place was sooo good. Order up at the kiosk at the front and food was brought out quickly. The place was clean and spacious. Huge portions as well! Street parking available.
They added a bulgogi banh mi. It's so good. I love the happy vibes here. The owner is very kind.
I may be biased because it is conveniently close to my apartment but it is insanely delicious, very fast, and makes great takeout. I love that they have really good pho, bahn mi, and bubble tea. They are also really kind and have brought my order out to me when I had my dog with me before. It's a really good neighborhood spot. And while the food is all a 8-9/10, the service makes this a 10/10
Super delicious pho that will definitely leave you satisfied. The portions are generous and the price is very reasonable. Paid less than $40 for two bowls of pho (one bowl had extra noodles). Plenty of seating there. You order at the kiosk and find whatever table you like. Staff were very nice. They will announce your name once your order is ready. You pick it up from the counter and also clean up after yourself. Definitely a great pho spot and I will be back! read more
Very solid Vietnamese spot. Pho broth was flavorful and not too salty. Loved the fried tofu perfectly cooked and love the sauce it came with. Brisket in the pho was very tender. Service was great. Seems like a mom and pop place and the people were very nice. A lot of seating inside, and you can order from kiosks. Really good portions too. read more
oo gee that eggroll looks very yummy. can you really make this dish go wrong? as long as your sauce is good, meat is good, eggroll is good, then this dish will always be good. whenever i eat vietnamese food though it all tastes the same so i am unsure but i am not hesitant. this was good im sure. read more

MK Noodle Pho is one of my favorite vietnamese restaurants in Chicago! The ambiance is very casual, kind of like a cafe vibe. You order from some self service kiosks up front and they'll call your name out. Their Banh Xeo with shrimp/pork is massive and delicious. It always comes with a lot of fresh greens and tasty fish sauce. I don't see banh xeo offered at many restaurants, and I think people may not be familiar with it. It's like a large crepe/pancake with turmeric for color and it's stuffed with bean sprouts, pork and shrimp. The batter is slightly sweet from the coconut milk. It comes with lettuce, mint, Thai basil, carrots, and cucumbers. Usually you rip a large piece of lettuce, load it with veggies, a portion of banh xeo and then dip it into the fish sauce. This is one of my favorite vietnamese dishes because it's so fresh and savory. It's listed as an appetizer but you can definitely eat it as an entree. FYI it can be a bit messy but so delicious. The shrimp spring rolls are delicious and massive too. It comes with a peanut dipping sauce. The pho is really good too, I enjoyed their ribeye pho with the house chili oil that's on each table. The broth is seasoned well, and made by cooking beef bones for 7 hours (per WGN news article/video). The ribeye is a bit more premium cost but I think it's worth it, it's very tender with the perfect proportion of meat to fat in each bite. And their house chili oil goes great with all of these dishes, it has a lot of flavor but it's not too spicy. The banh mi BBQ pork is everything I want in a banh mi, perfectly cooked BBQ pork and pork belly, crispy baguette, tasty mayo/pate, plenty of pickled carrots and daikon, and it even comes with fries! If you don't like cilantro you can ask for no cilantro. The owner is really nice and can help accommodate any food restrictions when possible. I've been here about 7 times and the food is consistently good! read more
MK noodle was recently featured though our local news and the review made me want to try this place out. The pho brisket is very good and I love their Banh Xeo. Portions are huge and filling. Their ordering kiosk is to the left when you enter. Although the machines encourage cashless payments if you prefer to pay the traditional way (cash) just go straight back to the counters and place your order. The place is spacious and can easily seat 30. The restaurant is in a busy section of street in Roscoe Village and scoring a metered parking space down Lincoln avenue is hit or miss. Overall a nice place serving good Vietnamese food with prices on par with the neighborhood. read more
Loved my trip to MK noodle. When you walk in you're immediately hit in the face with the best smell of pho. The restaurant has tablets you can order on near the door, but they're also happy to take your order at the counter. The staff is very friendly, in the best way. The pho is very clean, very little oil on the surface. I would have loved a bit more flavor, but it's comparable flavor wise to Sunset. The meat is far better in my opinion. If you like crab rangoons, definitely be sure to get some, but fair warning-- they are HUGE. read more

I love the outside signage and logo! It's very catchy and sleek designed. The food, VERY fresh and tasty. Prepared nicely and portions are generous. The peanut sauce was a nice complement to the fresh basil and cold noodles in the spring roll wrap. So good. The Vietnamese Cold Coffee was also delicious. Yes, Authentic! I couldn't tell the difference if I was in Vietnam or not. So excellent with the quality. I thought it would be nice to return and try their Pho, as it looks like that is their Hot #1 Seller. I would like to see them maybe spruce the place up a bit and just streamline it . Clean it and get rid of the "clutter". The chairs don't match and theirs odd placement of different decorations that don't match together. So simple to just clean that up and make it "fresh look", to match the Amazing Food & the Outside Sign. Both of those were awesome. I like that you can order at the kiosk. Great neighborhood spot! The service is quick and easy. There's two big tablets you order your food and boba through. They will text/call your name whenever your food is ready. There's more than enough seating on the inside if you wanted to dine in. We got the mango and Thai tea bubble tea. It was delicious! The boba comes in one size in a larger glass. We also got the spring rolls and fried tofu. They both come with delicious sauces and both foods tasted so fresh. I'll definitely be back for the Banh mi! read more

Happy to find a great pho spot on the west side! I thought argyle & chinatown were the only places I could go for good pho but haply to find this in Roscoe Village. The set up is a self service kiosk to review the menu, order, & pay there. You find a seat & clean up after yourselves as well. The pho broth was rich & a great portion for $13.95. I would definitely come here again when I need a soup fix after a night of going out or to warm myself up to get through this winter weather. read more

I was not a big fan of pho and didn't think I'd like it until someone told me to try it. I thought it was alright. But this location has me craving it all the time. It's super super delicious and perfect for this cold weather in Chicago. Best location in town read more

I'm so happy that there's good pho restaurants that's outside of argyle! They offer a discount if you pay in cash. I'd say the pho broth is pretty traditional and it's refreshing. Light and not too sweet which is what I'd say classic. I'd say the pho atleast is a solid 8.3/10. Will come back if I'm in the area! read more

They have 2 mobile order machines by the door. You can order and pay cash at the register for 10% off. We ordered the pork bahnmi sandwich which came with fries and the pork and shrimp noodles. There's not a ton of seats, maybe 12 tables? It was basically packed when we got there at noon on a Saturday. Overall, the food was good but not the best that we have had and it is expensive due to the area. My bahnmi had a good amount of the pickled veggies which I loved but the mayo spread tasted weird to me. The fries were cold but still crispy on the outside. The pork in both dishes also was a little too fatty for my and my husband's liking. Our friends got their usually pho. read more

We came on a weeknight for a quick dinner and this place was great. You order through the touch screen and then they call your name when your order is ready. It's casual and cozy. We got the pad thai with chicken and Tom yum soup with chicken. Everything was good, would come back again. read more
Good place in Lakeview for Vietnamese food. It has some pretty good classics such as pho and more. Mk Noodle is pretty casual and small. As a result, it makes a better time to come at lunch. This is also conveniently located close to the Paulina station, so you can take public transportation and not have to worry about parking. At lunch we came to a nearly empty inside. It could have been a bad sign. This luckily wasn't. Basically this place is very casual. It has funky Asian cartoon drawings on the walls. As for the food, it was about as good as one can expect. We each got the Pho Chay Vegan. It's about $13 for a big bowl. Prices are kind of high but not as bad for this as at some other places, and this is a very large portion too. Bowl was full of good stuff. There were vegetables including bean sprouts, broccoli, and mushrooms, lots of noodles, and tofu. Easy place to get to without a car. It's located just across the street from the Paulina CTA station. There's a few choices for vegans and vegetarians. read more
