The other investigator was... awful. I called the guy on a Monday, and he assured me he could serve the papers by Wednesday, not disclosing to me that he was actually leaving town Wednesday. He delegated the service to a stranger I did not hire, who immediately got COVID. I asked for my money back since they weren't going to do the service any time soon, and the investigator called me to berate me, then sent me a text full of insults. I called Stephen and explained the situation, he said he would take care of it, and served the papers the next day. He sent me an invoice for court, and the proof of service form that evening. It was such a night and day difference. This was the first time I've needed to hire a process server, and I wanted to share the story about the first investigator because CLEARLY they are not all created equal.
