    Sushi plate for 2
    Stacy Y.

I took my son here for his 15th birthday celebration. This was our first time at Mizu. We split the sushi plate for 2. It came with soup salad, chef's choice of sushi and two additional rolls of our choosing. Everything was fresh and delicious and my son demolished what I couldn't eat. It was definitely well worth the price for two people. We would order the sushi plate for two again!

This is one my fav places to eat in the Wake Forest/Wakefield area to kick off the weekend after a strong week at work and in the gym. The sushi is consistently very good. My go-to's are the Midori Akuma (top of pic) and classic Spicy Tuna with hot green tea. Highly recommend!!

It's been 5 years since I wrote a review for Mizu, and it's still just as delicious and amazing as it was 5 years ago. They no longer do half price days. They have removed some of the yummy rolls from their menu and discontinued the train of sushi that ran around the bar, but the freshness and quality hasn't changed. The service is great, the food is amazing.

We come here all the time. It's our go to Sushi spot for this area and we always recommend this place if anyone asks us. I've never left disappointed. I really wish they were able to bring the Sushi Train back because it was the only place around this area that had it. The main reason I like the train is because you can try all kinds of rolls without getting the full roll which is really good for anyone just starting to eat sushi and even for experienced sushi eaters. I've never visited and it was dirty and we've always received great service. You can come as you are or dress up, there's a mix of everyone in between, just come! I would say very large groups will be easy but call ahead, it's not a huge place. On the weekend the wait is usually around 20-30 minutes and at peak time (5-6) it's taken 45-59 minutes for us before. We usually wait to go until after 6 to be seated just after the dinner rush. I usually try a new roll every time I go. My favorite roll is the Red Dragon (smoked salmon, avocado, tuna, cilantro, masago, jalapeño, spicy honey sauce). It has a nice kick to it but the spicy honey sauce finishes it up nicely. For a veggie roll or a flavorful refreshing roll, I'd recommend, try the Mr. Green too

I was impressed We happened upon the restaurant on accident because the other restaurant we were going to was very very busy. So while riding around we found this lovely restaurant. The restaurant is tucked in a corner and you won't believe. Unfortunately the train was not working because of COVID. I did enjoy the spacing of the customers and the attention to detail. The sushi was delicious . The service was lovely The decor was calming and did I mention the sushi being great?! I can't wait to go back!

We have allergies to sesame and wheat and the waitress told the kitchen about our allergies. It's an open kitchen so I saw her do it. We ordered a crab roll that was served with sesame seeds. We returned it to be brought a second roll again with sesame seeds. The 3rd roll was ok. We wondered if it was real crab or imitation and asked our waitress. She didn't know and asked the kitchen. It's imitation. Many imitation crab contains wheat. Again - ask ask ask. Guess what? It does contain wheat. So they served us both of our allergens. The manager came over and explained the hibachi they served us also contained wheat. And he blamed the waitress. When we explained that it was not her fault but the kitchen's he said he'd go ask the "chef" for his explanation. He returned and told us that the crab roll has gluten in the mayo too. He wasn't sympathetic or understanding of the severity but did go right back and added GF to several menu items that may or may not be gluten free The ambiance in the restaurant is too loud. The quality is on par with Japan Express but the management and kitchen's lack of understanding their ingredients and safe food handling and preparation combined with the arrogance won't have us back.

It was Easter Sunday. Apr 5, 2026. This was my first visit to TDLLO Ramen & Sushi. There was a…read morecocktail bar and a sushi bar. I opted for a booth. The decor included dark wooden furniture, hardwood floors, door curtains for kitchen, and a ceiling lamp in the shape of a fish. On each table was a pale bottle with a small spout and a large stopper. This was for the black sauce, and the first time I have seen black sauce provided at tables in anything other than the small transparent bottle with double-spout cap. Next to the kitchen doorway was a black board announcing "What's New". The menu is printed on black-colored pages bound by black leather cover, which matched the black uniforms of the staff. I ordered my usual ramen: tonkotsu. It was served with a renge and a fork, the latter for those uncomfortable with using chopsticks. That didn't apply to me. I put the fork to the side and used the wooden chopsticks. The tonkotsu had three thick pieces of chasu, lots of menma slices, some kikurage strips, and a soft-boiled egg served in two halves. Though a little saltier than I would like, the broth was still delicious and complimented the food well, especially the chasu. It had a mild spiciness that caused slight irritation to my throat, but otherwise was worth consuming the entire bowl. It was about 11:10am when I arrived. Besides myself, there was one other party of two. The cocktail bar had two large TVs, one playing CNN and the other playing a sports program. The volume level was barely a whisper. Most of the time, I didn't hear anything. By 11:45am, two more parties of two showed up. The atmosphere was quiet the entire time, and definitely a great place to relax and enjoy a meal during lunch time. As I was leaving, I took a look at the outdoor dining area. It is housed in a patio next to the building. It has plenty of seating and is almost enclosed but for a cased doorway. I was impressed that TDLLO is accommodating to its customers during rain or shine (unlike Noodles Blvd in Cary). I will definitely come back to try a different ramen. Plenty of indoor and outdoor (sheltered) seating, plenty of parking, quiet atmosphere and good ramen, TDLLO Ramen & Sushi has my recommendation.

Nice balance of heat and sweet. I liked the yakisoba meat and veggies but the noodles tasted too fishy for my liking. It's like they had too much fish sauce or something. The steak was bone dry, completely unseasoned (I mean look at the picture, there's literally no salt pepper garlic or anything), tough, and chewy. Absolutely disgusting. Like I'm actually pissed I spend any money on this in any capacity, it was 18$ completely wasted. I'd rather have a day old filet o fish from McDonald's than ever eat this shit again and I can tolerate a mediocre meal. This is slop. Pure laziness. I'm stunned this place has any good reviews, truly. It actually irks my soul. I've never been this pissed about getting such a nasty meal and being able to do nothing about it.
