This was by far the worst ramen I have ever had. I ordered the Tonkotsu. The broth was lukewarm and not tasty at all. The egg was virtually raw. The egg white was totally runny (disgusting) and the yolk was cold. Gross. There was some weird carmelized onion (?) that was cold. I tried to eat some of the soup but could not do it and left. The egg in the ramen was raw. Actually slimy transparent white egg raw. It was disgusting. The music is insanely loud to the point that we assume they are trying to get people out fast. Went for the second time today. The portions were smaller than opening day. Flavors were better I think? However, the noodles were a bit undercooked. Overall, it wasn't as good as you'd get in the city, and definitely a bit hefty of a price for the size. But they have improved their tofu crispiness at least. I just wish it had 10 pieces of tofu instead of 5. The steamed buns were good, just a bit hefty on the price. It's overall good food. They could improve on portions and price. Fresh ingredients at least. Better than 123Ramen that was here a few years ago. I would go again, but not often. Overall 2.5 stars for the soup, the atmosphere, music, and vibe get an extra .5 star. I was excited because this place looked really cool and had a big line. The soup didn't measure up to expectations. They didn't offer basics like Shoyu ramen or gyoza or chasu. The soup had no dimension and was very basic. Toppings tried to be hip but didn't add to the soup. The egg was funky-- it was poached not soft boiled shoyu egg as usual... it was just a gooey mess. There were several other menu items that looked good. The steamed buns were good. They should concentrate on their broth and not so much with the other stuff. I would agree with other reviewers, small sommunal shop, great employees and service with a smile. The ramen is good considering. I would also agree with others that the flavors need to develop a bit deeper and richer from other places I have tried. It's like when you make a pot of spaghetti sauce, always better the second and third days. I think some tome for the ramen broth to deepen its flavors. We decided to try out MiyagiRamen tonight after a workout. The line was out the door (we didn't realize it was opening day!) however the wait was only about 10 mins to place our order. I had the Spicy Miso with a soft boiled egg added ($15.50). It was a large serving of ramen and was nicely presented. The flavor of the broth was amazing - deep & rich with the perfect spice level. The environment is funky and fun - the GM, Corey, was so gracious and accommodating!! All of the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. I've tried it so many times and each time the ramen just gets worse. Nothing tastes authentic, the broths are really substandard in flavor. Tonkotsu is watered down and doesn't taste like any tonkotsu I've had before and I've had authentic tonkotsu all around the globe. The buns are fantastic, especially the mushroom one. Cool atmosphere. Soft drinks are a little pricy. Music is good vibes. Ramen is best I've had in town. My GF got Spicy miso ramen which was yummy; it was sweet and spicy with notes of tang and a perfect balance of savory. I had the Duck Ramen Special which was savory sweet delicious. Great place for a 2nd or 3rd date. Or maybe your just in one of those ramen moods. You'll leave being a fat and happy panda. We came in as a group of 6 and we're able to be seated almost immediately. We ordered the spicy miso, tonkotsu, steamed buns, and tsunami fries. The tsunami fries have the airy crunch of battered fries with a touch of sweet glaze and all the fixings you would expect at an izakaya. The spicy ramen came with a satisfying portion of crispy pork belly and nice chewy noodles and really good full flavored broth. The steamed buns are open face style and I got them with pork belly. The pork belly has such a nice crunchy exterior with a super light moist interior. I will come back the next time I'm in Bend for sure read more

Being a local I wait a little before trying out a new restaurant. Was in the area with my daughter so we stopped in for lunch. Food was good and atmosphere was fun. Came here with my grandkids soon after they opened and was very impressed. We were starving so ordered almost everything to try. Loved it all. Watermelon salad delicious, wings tasty, buns very good, Ramon (we had spicy miso and veggie one) - both are amazing. I don't eat much Ramon but was told I had to try it and glad I did. We will definitely be back. The vibe, atmosphere & music was authentic to Bend. Unique and 'cool' for even this grandma. I'll be bringing back my friends to see what they think. The employees and service was fast, efficient and very friendly. We got there when they first opened and soon after there was a line out the door. Everyone seemed happy and got food fast. read more

What great food and accommodating staff is here at Miyagi. Such a change from what's becoming the "Bend Attitude" in brewpubs, foodcarts and restaurants when you don't fit a certain demographic. I ordered Take Out and asked if all the meat was pork and the counter server happily told me I could substitute with chicken etc. I was invited to help myself to cold water while I waited. The steamed bun had breaded, fried chicken but was moist and still crunchy when we ate it an hour later! Accompanied by pickled cucumber, it was the perfect contrast of crunch with the pickles and chicken with the soft , moist bun. Great sauce- but only 1/4 of the container so just wasn't enough for two buns. We shared the Spicy Miso bowl which was a very tasty broth, plenty of ramen and chicken but would personally have preferred more greens in it. All in all, a great lunch, shared between two of us which more than filled us up. But the biggest kudos goes to the staff, who all were happy and informative. I was asked by another server if I would like some water while waiting and they were always happy to explain what they had carried out to guests. We ordered the Tonkotsu and Yuzu-Tan Tan Men ramens, and while we enjoyed them both, they were both a little underwhelming. First, the ramen seemed to have been sitting for a while before being served as it was barely warm. We felt like overall, the broth was a tad bland, which says a lot given that ramen broth should be rich and packed with flavor. Wow! My husband and I come to Bend from Portland once a month for a work trip. We love it because we get to eat at all the delicious restaurants throughout Bend. After following some Bend centric accounts on Instagram, a post lead us to Miyagi before it had even opened. I started following their account and have just drooled over the photos I've seen. We are finally back in Bend this week and got the chance to try. WOW! Exceeded my expectations. And trust me, my expectations were high! Perfectly flavored ramen and wings!
