Current store front is shared with Lynda's African Delicacies. We almost missed this place!

I am so glad we kept calling them because the Ramen was Honolu Ramen good. They had three broth types (creamy chicken, spicy red, and yuzu). They had a lot options you would expect from a ramen shop but they give you a lot! The chicken chashu was 5-6 pieces, which is a lot (along with everything else). I no longer need to travel for halal Ramen. It's a 15-20 minute drive away now, and it's top-notch to boot. The service was great as well. I didn't get a picture of the meatball skewers but they were amazing as well. Definitely recommend! LOCATION: there is no signage yet! It's in Unit J and ask for Miyabi Ramen

Located in a ghost kitchen so seating is limited. The service is great. They answered all of our questions and gave recommendations. The crab rangoon was pretty sweet and not what I expected at all. The creamy broth had amazing flavor but they give way too many noodles. I would have preferred less noodles and more broth.

Broth flavor and noodles were great. The broth was rich in flavor and the noodles were very well made and soft. Will definitely be coming back

    Red broth with chicken meatballs

I ordered the red broth (extra spicy with extra garlic) and it was so delish. I could definitely taste the spice, but I didn't find it to be very spicy despite the fact that I chose the spiciest option. The chicken meatballs were delicious and tasted better than the chicken chashu in my opinion but that's just because I don't like my meat to be on the sweeter side. Overall, the portion size was great and I really love how flavorful the broth was!! I'm so happy that everything in the menu is halal -- I'll definitely come back and give their other ramen options a try :)

Creamy Broth Ramen, Red Broth Ramen, Grilled Meatball

The food was really good! There aren't many halal ramen places around, so this spot was definitely worth trying. The portions are generous, and you can tell they put a lot of care into the food. The owner was Muslim, which gave me extra confidence that everything was halal. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try.

A Legendary Slurp - Gone But Never Forgotten It is a true…read moretragedy for the Orange County food scene that Hakata Ikkousha in Costa Mesa has closed its doors. This wasn't just a "ramen joint"--it was a masterclass in authentic Fukuoka-style soul food. The Broth: Liquid Gold The standout was always their Signature Tonkotsu broth. You could literally taste the 30+ hours of labor that went into it. It had that distinct "frothy" texture (the bubble of the bone marrow) that you only find in high-end Hakata shops. It was rich, creamy, and carried a deep umami funk without ever being overly greasy. The Hits * Black Tonkotsu: The roasted garlic oil (mayu) added a smoky, dark complexity that ruined all other garlic ramens for me. * God Fire: For those who like to sweat, this offered the perfect balance of heat without sacrificing the integrity of the pork flavor. * The Karaage: Genuinely some of the best fried chicken in the area. Massive, juicy thigh meat with a shattering, thin crust and that addictive spicy mayo on the side. * Customization: I loved that they let you pick your noodle firmness. "Hard" was the only way to go to ensure that perfect snap with every bite. The Atmosphere The Costa Mesa location always had a great energy--functional, clean, and unpretentious. The staff were always efficient, greeting everyone with a loud "Irasshaimase!" that made the experience feel truly authentic. It's heartbreaking to see such a high-caliber spot leave the neighborhood. If you were lucky enough to eat here, you know we lost a heavy hitter. To the team at Ikkousha: thank you for the memories and the best bowls in the city. You'll be sorely missed! Note: For those still craving that specific broth, their Torrance locations are still holding it down--definitely worth the drive to keep the dream alive. Come back to OC! !

It's a little tight inside too with the tables located near each other. We came on a Monday during the lunch hour. We originally had plans to eat somewhere else, but it was too long of a wait and we decided to have Ramen instead. I think due to our party of six, it was a little harder to be seated, but it wasn't a big deal. We checked in and we were informed by Justin that it wouldn't take too long for our table to be ready as the other family who was at the larger table was already eating their food. Great! We meandered around in the center and walked inside Daiso and Mitsuwa market and already thinking about where we would be eating next time. We received a text when our table was ready about 30 minutes later. The nice lady who took our order was friendly, sweet, smiling and made us feel welcomed. We all ended up ordering different Ramen bowls, and curry with rice. We also shared the large fried chicken and furikake french fries. I'll have to try that at home next time! Everyone enjoyed their choices. I tried the light Kitakata ramen this time because I usually always get miso or Tonkotsu. The light broth was easier for me to handle and I was able to adjust the spice level with condiments on the table. I also used some of the chili spices from my family members. As usual, the chewy bouncy noodles were enjoyed by everyone. We will be back!

We ended paying in a front like a fast food service. I will talk to the manager next time about her and I hope she gets fired because I talked to my neighbors and they said the same thing. It's really sad because they have really good food but the service ( specifically her) is terrible and it soured our mood. People come to the restaurant to enjoy the food but she has such a bad attitude because she is not happy in her life.

Good atmosphere, good service, great food! Came here on a Thursday 6:30PM and our server Kristin was great and attentive. We ordered appetizers: (1) pork belly skewer + (1) sausage skewer. Kinda steep price for 1 skewer but each were very well cooked and flavored. The drinks were super yummy. We ordered the Guava Calpico & the Lychee Margarita. The lychee was lined with Li Hung Mui which was delish! Guava was refreshing and milky. Food: Chasu Tom Kha Ramen: a little spicy but the broth had amazing flavor, chasu was tender & filling. Original Gyu-Tonkatsu Ramen: We had the option to sub meat for egg, shrimp or tofu with no additional charge. We chose the egg because their eggs are soooo yummy & perfectly gummy. Curry Tonkatsu Ramen: a little spicy but always a good choice. Katsu wasn't crispy but had good flavor and mixed well with the ramen. Beef Belly Udon: so much beef & flavor was so good. Udon was tender & plentiful. Came with tempura flakes on the side.

Unfortunately, the filet mignon yakitori was tough (we couldn't chew through it & had to spit it out ) and overcooked. Our server was quick to offer a replacement and unfortunately the 2nd time was still a bust, which at that point seemed more like an issue with the meat they had rather than the cooking itself, so not much they couldve done. Thankfully, the manager (i believe, he was dressed differently than the servers) was kind enough to take it off our bill. Our server also offered a dessert on the house to make up for our experience! We got the black sesame coconut ice cream with sago and it was sooooo good. Of all the noodle dishes, my favorite was the chashu tom kha ramen. holy moly, the flavors were incredible. And for $17?! In this economy?! Can't be beat. The drinks were all great too! Well balanced, refreshing, and unique twist of flavors. Can't wait to go back!
