Portion size was fine, and the rice was done well. The filling was average at best. California roll is a basic western Japanese classic, and there's nothing wrong with getting the basics right. Not amazing, but not bad. Service: I ordered to go, but the staff inside were nice. Ambiance: The restaurant seats 30-40 people and it's located in a nice area. Nothing crazy but I do love a nice booth seating with a large family. No firepits, low lighting, candles, nada. They have a great kids meal deal. Kid's portion noodles with chicken or pork and also comes with 4 gyoza for only $9. What an absolute steal of a deal. Most places would be like $9 just for 4 gyoza alone. Absolutely loved that deal for our kids. Will be coming again in the future just for that deal alone. I ordered the tonkotsu black it was okay. I prefer my broth to be thicker, richer, creamier. Noodles were fine, pork was very good. Slightly vexed it didn't come standard with an egg? I'll have to ask for one next time. Overall, it was just okay for me, the rave reviews got me too hyped... I'm really surprised by the reviews here. Firstly, we got spicy tuna with crispy rice. The rice was much thicker than I'm used to and wasn't very crispy at all. It was more soft than anything and there wasn't a lot of tuna on top. This was lackluster for me. I got the tonkatsu black and the noodles tasted okay. They were al dente which I liked but the broth was okay. It had flavor but wasn't bursting with the right flavors - it somehow just tasted very peppery. And the pork was pretty tender but also not bursting with flavor. I wish it was more creamy for the soup. I'll still be sticking to HiroNori. read more

Black garlic ramen has a smokey taste with garlic fragrance and a mild broth. I liked the smoothness to it. Noodles fantastic. Spicy miso has a much richer and bolder body base (as it should) and strong ginger notes. Spice was more of a pepper note that sat around the tongue and a little bit mouth. Sweet and spicy chicken. We got the tonkotsu spicy miso ramen, california, crunch salmon, and crunch fire rolls. The ramen came super quickly, probably between 5-10 minutes after ordering. The rolls did take a while, but we were okay with this. The ramen tasted great and was warm and comforting. I got the level 1 mild spice and it was just right. The rolls were also delicious! Our server was nice and I did like how the restaurant was quiet, making it a nice place to have conversations. When we walked in, there were about three or four tables occupied and just one server handling everything. She greeted us quickly and seated us at a corner table, bringing over menus right away. I ordered a spicy tuna on rice and a ramen with all the toppings and fixings on the side since my son wanted his ramen plain. Our food came out within a few minutes, and everything was really good. My son enjoyed his ramen so much that he asked for an extra order of noodles since he still had plenty of soup left. The waitress brought the noodles out quickly, which made for a really satisfying lunch. I'd highly recommend this place if you're craving ramen. I had the spicy black garlic tonkotsu. It was a little too spicy and over salted for my taste. I couldn't really taste the black garlic anymore.
