Beef bimbap this is a place I will NEVER visit again!

I'm so disappointed! My first try after hearing wonderful things and I open my box of food to see rice thrown in with scraps of beef. I thought this was made to order but all I heard was the microwave. Then this dry rice and pieces of beef?! I spent $15 and this is what I got? How unprofessional to even offer this to a customer! I will NEVER return and I will be sure to let everyone that I know to not waste money here! I'm so disappointed!!!!

First time visiting this place, with my family, to sit & dine. Small interior with about 6 tables. I mainly wanted to try this place for their gimbap (Korean rice roll) because there is nowhere I can find that sells this near me. While there, I also ordered their vegetable noodle dish. It took about 40 minutes to get all of our orders out (4 people). It did have a sign that said 'cooked to order', which is great, but to wait that long, I was disappointed that side dishes were not included (like how other Korean restaurants normally have) & the portion size didn't seem enough. What I ordered had very good flavor, but the gimbap was TINY and the vegetable noodle dish came with rice (which I was pretty glad about) but there seemed to be more rice than the noodles itself.. Prices were good for what you were being given. Overall, this was an aye ok Korean takeout spot. But if you're looking for some side dishes & bigger portions for your buck, you may want to look elsewhere..

We decided to check this place out since we are here in the Burlington, North Carolina. It's very very piping hot and delicious. I ordered the hot stone pot " bibimbap. Highly recommended. The whole meal was fulfilling and love the crusty rice in the bottom. I am going to come here again datz 'fo sho'... Thank you Mixed Rice for a great late lunch at your Korean yummy place here in beautiful Burlington! Service was great! !

As we approached the restaurant there was signs starting They are only offering take out orders and you wait in your car they will bring it right to you. We were greeted by a a cute older couple and the husband took our order. The menu was short and simple I ordered the tofu bibimbap I asked for fried egg. My son got their spicy chicken bowl. We were told 15 mins and he would bring to our car. We sat in the car for five minutes. We couldn't resist the the donut shop next door that was just taunting us with it's sweet yummy aroma. (Review coming soon) We got donuts and waited another 5 minutes in the car before the uncle came walking towards our car. We had to rush back to the work site but my kid's food looked and smelled yummy as I was driving back. He made many sounds with was an indicator that it was yummy and spicy. I had 5 minutes before I had to go back into the void and I opened my plate and it was soo pretty and colorful. I was having an egg and rice craving. My first bite was heaven. It was like having that childhood craving full filled. You know kind of like when you eat pb&j sandwich even though you hate them now.

If you have a love for authentic Korean food like I do, you MUST check out Mixed Rice in Burlington, NC. The atmosphere is a little dated but don't let it fool you. The food is right up there with some of the best Korean cuisine I've ever eaten. I had to try several of my favorites on the menu which included beef bulgogi on a bed of white rice, japchae (glass noodles with beef bulgogi and vegetables in a savory sauce), duk bok Ki (rice dumplings with a spicy, slightly sweet kochujang sauce), Napa cabbage kimchi and radish kimchi. There is nothing negative I can say about anything I tried. Mixed Rice will be my new regular spot. Don't pass it up if you're ever in Burlington!!

Food was tasty, and tasted genuine. Really good amount of food too! 4 stars because the food wasn't super warm when we got it but we did have a bigger order (4x people).

Really enjoyed grabbing lunch here the other day! It is clear that this place is serving authentic, fresh bibimbap and it was delicious. If you are looking for a great lunch option for something a little different, this is the spot. The ladies running the place were friendly and we felt welcomed the moment we walked in. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that the menu seems a tad limited and the drink option consisted of a can of soda (not a bad thing but I think they could make a few small tweaks to really make it 100%). Oh and make sure you get a fresh spring roll with your meal... beat spring rolls I have had in a LONG time! Super fresh and crispy!

Love this place, everything is delicious. My favorite is the kimbap roll. Egg rolls are really good, too. Usually just do takeout.

The server sat me right away as I was there just 30 minutes after their opening. By the time I was wrapping up my meal it was more crowded and I witnessed a lot of people come for pick-up. Seems very popular. The menu wasn't too expansive, but it had a bunch of Korean dishes that I would love to return and try. I was in the mood for soup so I ordered their spicy kimchi stew with pork. The food came quickly, again I was there fairly early. The stew was served with banchan (Korean side dishes) and rice. The banchan consisted of broccoli, bean sprouts, kimchi, cucumber kimchi, tofu skins, and marinated potatoes. They all have very different flavors and each of them go well as a side dish with the stew and rice. I prefer kimchi on the spicier side but again that is my personal preference. The kimchi stew came out sizzling and smelled wonderful. I tried all the side dishes while it cooled down a bit. Once I was able to dig in it was packed full of flavor didn't need anything added. I would say it was more mild than spicy but I have a higher spice tolerance than most. Overall I had a pleasant experience enjoyed the service and the food will return with husband and kids to try more of their menu. I hope everything is just as good as the stew was.

I think it is a shared lot because the restaurant was pretty empty during my visit today. i have visited twice now (jan 2026 & may 2026) and i order a decent amount of food for the table to share. Both times, every plate has been room temperature. Thats super disappointing especially since the Korean dishes we ordered are typically served very hot (and in clay pots). It would be fine if my food was even remotely warm, but that hasnt been the case for either of my visits. Our food took a very long time to come out, which would have also been fine had the food came out hot, so i am wondering why it took so long to send out cold food? Also, for some reason there was a strong odor of some sort permeating through the beer hall. I couldnt place what it was but it was not pleasant for me. I feel like i am rarely sensitive to smells but i had to spritz a perfume to mask it. It might've just been a cleaning product or something, not sure. Something to note is that you have to pay for the banchan here. This is typically served with your meals for no additional cost as they are considered 'essential' to your meal. So a charge for them was surprising for me.

I would've probably left but we were starved and didn't have the brainpower to really try and brainstorm anything else. And it's ramen-how long could it really take. The waitress was prompt-I was afraid I would feel rushed but she seemed to have a hurried nature and it didn't feel directly related to it being close to closing. I ordered my ramen with no egg and spicy and it came with no spice and an egg. Disappointing to say the least because I've heard great things and expected better since in the short period of time we were there, so many people came in to pickup takeout orders. There was 2 pieces of thinly sliced pork in my ramen and it was mostly mushrooms. The broth was super flavorful I just wish I had more spice. Based off my experience, I wouldn't be interested in returning on my own. I'd visit if a group of friends wanted to go or for takeout to give them another try.
