We went to Mito this evening for an early dinner. The establishment looks pretty much the same as it did when it was Mansoon. We sat downstairs, which was comfortable. I personally like the upstairs seating it is a bit more intimate. We arrive for a 545 reservation, and we're seated immediately. Our server was jade, and she was professional, engaging, and attentive. We started with the dimsum taster, two of each, and the avocado salad. The presentation for both was appetizing, the dimsum was well prepared and flavorful. The salad was pretty large we shared it between 3 people. For our entrée we select the salmon and Mongolian grill. One salmon was medium the other was medium raw both were prepared perfectly. The salmon was fresh and I enj I enjoyed the mushrooms on top. The Mongolian grill was tender and well prepared. We also had Mai Tai which were prepared perfectly the ratio and flavors were just right. Definitely a quality enjoyable drink. I went out for dinner with my mom and oldest sister. My sister picked this place, and I was pleasantly surprised about the experience. Thankfully it was not too crowded and the music was not blaring at the time I went there, but the food is something questionable. As it was a brand new place (I know it was previously Monsoon), it took some time for me to choose what I would order as I like to look ahead of time. For what I assumed would be larger portions of food was actually minuscule. The only thing I had that didn't have the tiniest serving of food was the rock shrimp tempura (which I found to be very good). I also had dumplings, miso soup, bluefin tuna tartare, and eel/avocado roll. While Mito is a nice restaurant and I could see myself going back there for an occasional dinner, I prefer my food to have a bigger serving unlike what Mito has to offer. read more

Wow!!! First time trying this place and was blown away. Their prix fixe lunch menu is insane. $25 for 4 courses, and one of the courses can be 3 rolls! All the food was delish. The crispy rice spicy tuna came with tons of tuna but the rice wasn't fried enough. The Dan Dan noodles were very yummy however not very spicy. The hibachi chicken and Mongolian beef were both amazing. This place also offers some dim sum items!!! How awesome. That is so rare at Japanese places. The menu is extensive and they have so many choices. The mochi was addicting. Next, the interior of the restaurant is amazing. Beautifully decorated. Very gatsby fancy. I can tell you exactly why this place is empty. It smells like bleach and pinesol when you walk in. You literally feel like you are eating cleaning products. Their food comes out in 5 mins which clearly tells me it was precooked and reheated. Management needs to step up. read more

Ugh. I really wanted to like this place. The reservation was for 2 people and when we arrived they had 5 people marked down. We really wanted to sit upstairs so we waited about 30 minutes at the bar and had a cocktail. The honey butter bourbon drink and spicy marg were very good. After that cocktail we were escorted upstairs(after hearing another patron com down to complain to the manager that everything was taking so long so we were a bit skeptical). We sat and placed in drinks first which took about 30 minutes , as we were waiting for those we received both apps. We then received the wrong drinks. It's was a literal mess. The food was actually good, the service was a bit mom and pop sushi not an upscale sushi place which it's presented to be. Very disappointed. Spent a decent penny- they didn't mess the check up. Decided to try this restaurant out as I came across it on IG. We went with another couple and were seated quickly as there only 4 other tables besides ours the whole night. Food and ambiance were great however staff was horrible. Their gimmick is since it's all you can eat , the wait staff disappears 20 minutes at a time so you will fill up and not order anymore food. It was such a long process to even get drinks in a timely manner as well. If a place is packed I can totally understand the delay, but an establishment with only 5 table occupied should not have that issue. Went to dinner last night and sat at the bar, a few things were lacking right off the bat. It took 3 asks and two different people to receive cloth napkins (we ordered full meals and bottles of wine, one would expect a real napkin, not paper). One person said, "they're around here somewhere", then never came back. It was not until I asked if I could take the cloth napkins off the table behind us that we were given them. Water was not offered but received when asked. Wine - not the best of choices to be honest. When inquiring about the cocktail Passion Salado and which champagne was used, I was told it's Prosecco. Not a huge deal but be honest about what goes on your menu. Now to the food - "eh" all around. Shishito Peppers - overwhelmingly spicy, borderline inedible unless you wiped off all the chili on top. Soup Dumplings were disappointing to say the least. They were not served with a spoon and chopsticks as you would typically get, therefor no way to eat them without eating the entire dumpling in one shot. The petite truffle & wagyu beef boa were good...not amazing, but good. General Tso's Chicken...again just OK, no spice, not much flavor and zero heat. The atmosphere is an A+, the cutlery is gold and adds an upscale feel and the bar chairs are very comfortable. Came on Saturday night with wife and friends. Great atmosphere and interior design. I thought the place was going to be very expensive but the prices were very reasonable. The food and presentation were also great and the portions were fair. Our waiter was new but introduced all the special for the season and all the dishes recommended were good as she described. This place was a no go for me. Food was mediocre at best, came out in under 5 mins which shows it's premade trash, also tasted that way. As if it was heated in the microwave. Drinks were HORRIBLE. I ordered a lichee martini and I seen the bartender pull it from behind the bar as if it was premade in the glass already, a drink that someone didn't want. He threw the already made drink, in a shaker and added ice. Disgusting. The couple next to us sent their drink back twice because the glass was dirty. Very disappointing experience at Mito. We went with a large party ready to have a feast. We noticed right away the place was near empty on a Friday night which was alarming. The place is nicely decorated but the positive experience stops there. The food portions were very small and pricey. Average food at best but the service ruined the entire experience. They would bring new drinks and not take our old drinks. They brought our entrees without taking out appetizer plates. The workers were standing around doing nothing. We had the prix fix for lunch. The serving sizes were larger than expected and the quality of the food was good. We had the seafood bisque, kani salad, dim sum, calamari, and maki sushi. The food was fresh and nicely presented. We had the fried bananas and ice cream for dessert. The service was good, the only complaint being a long gap between lunch and the dessert, but that was because they were making it fresh. The bananas were crispy but not greasy and went well with the ice cream. I would definitely go again. A good value for the money. read more

Nice decor bar area but dining area is upstairs in the back of the restaurant. Probably the worse Mito location I've been to. Staff is nice but not pro. Arrived at 830pm for their 2hr ayce experience but wasn't told last call is 930pm when we were seated. Only got thru 2/3 rounds of orders which wasn't a deal breaker until we realize we can't even order any dessert (daughter birthday, not even some cream with a candle). A few dishes were above average for ayce (miso soup especially stood out) but most of the dishes were pretty disappointing, especially if I were to pay menu prices for it. Uni and Kumamoto oysters were clearly listed in the ayce menu and they were the main dishes we wanted to try but was told they're not included/ or ran out--each staff gave a different answer. False advertising? Snow crab, king crab, lobster (surf and turf) were definitely not fresh (fishy and slimy texture/flavorless), scallops were blend and not sweet at all, taste and look nothing like hokkaido scallops as advertised. Do not try the eastern oysters, worse item of the night, please take this off the menu if you're doing such to gain clientele. Ordered a dozen, more than half went so bad we had to spit it out the other few were just flavorless. Did not get to try anything else because we were basically kicked out after just a bit over an hour. Not exactly worth it at this price point. I would rate it 8 out of 10 if based on the things listed in the menu (if they don't make up excuses at time of dining), but based on my experience I would rate it 2 out of 10, hence 1 star). I've been to Mito three times (first time being in May of 2024) and was very pleased with my experience, food and service wise. The second time food was great but the service was absolutely awful... Took over 30 mins for our waitress to get us our drinks and take our order, even though the party next to us who had sat later then us had already been served... Third time I went (December 2024) was honestly over just a terrible experience, we had three different waitresses come up to us asking if anyone came over to take our order, once we ordered our drinks it took around 20 mins for only one drink to come... They had forgotten to put in the second drink even though they were ordered at the same time. While my appetizer and meal were great (ordered two sushi rolls) my boyfriend had ordered something he had ordered out first time around but this time it just look like fried chicken they had gotta from restaurant depot...
