I just had the best roast beef I can remember! Yes, Kevin, the best. The fries were lightly battered and I got the family Texas sauce and cheese on them. Good thing my cardiologist likes me so much. Good draft selection as the rusty chain went down smooth. Tammy loved the sweet potato fries with the butter and honey separated for your own indulgence. Being a go-to of several of my friends who are from the area, I've ended up here by default a few times. Each time has been worse than before, as the main late night crowd is always a bunch of locals who forget they aren't in a high school anymore (drama). But it was never as aggravating as last night, when my frustration with the bartender has guaranteed I will not return. I first ordered a Captain and coke on my boyfriend's tab. Noticing how weak it was, but still craving my favorite drink, I ordered the next round and watched it being made. The bartender put the glass of ice on the bar and put MAYBE (closer to less than) a half shot in it. Then she proceeded to take and prepare (with the right amount of alcohol) the orders of two people who had just walked in (presumably her friends) who had more complicated beverages than mine. When she finally put in the coke, she skimped out on that too (possibly trying to hide how weak it was). She brought it to me as I turned to shoot in darts. After my turn, my boyfriend's beer was still not ready. When she did bring it over, she just stared at me, waiting for a credit card even though I had cash in my hand. I had to ask her how much it was, and she had to input it in the register to find out. Perhaps because I was already frustrated this bothered me so much, but she is a veteran bartender and it wasn't an excessive order so I anticipated her to know without punching it in. My total was $7.50 (which would be great for two drinks, if it was made with the standard portions). I gave her $8, and never got my change back. Considering that's over an hour of pay being a server, I was very unhappy. I'm not a confrontational person, so I did not say anything. I also understand people have bad days/aren't always on point at work. But she tended to her regulars well, and I was very annoyed with her lack of hospitality at a bar I didn't really want to be at anyway. read more

I stopped in Mitchell's last month for lunch as I was in the area and I was impressed! This is your typical dive/sports bar with lots of sports memorabilia covering every wall. I ordered the Greek salad and my colleague ordered the Southwestern BBQ burger. We were both impressed by our meals especially because of how affordable and fair the prices are here. The service here was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Definitely planning on returning for another affordable and tasty meal! read more

Drove out of town tonight to try something a little different.... upon entering Mitchell's and who is renowned for their beef on weck i walk into their feeding dungeon by light of my phone after turning the lights on for myself I see why everyone was getting drunk... this place smelled like an old gopher hole and a bottle of aged cat spray... really fired me up for my meal. Couldn't believe the beers were so cheap... ordered several with the pony express they're using for a waitress and along the voyage back to my table they picked up some extra buddies, I spent the next 3 minutes pickin glass out of my beer of the wrong variety... there couldn't be anything else to go wrong could there? Well wait there's more... I ordered some wings and the weck... I tried their signature "carlos' sauce" well let me tell ya, I figured out the secret to the sauce 2 parts soiled t-shirt juice to 4 parts house cleaner wasn't enough to kill me I still had my tasty beef weck comin... here it comes... couple piles of grey kneadable eraser heaped on to a roll half turned crouton with some old grease trap spread... what kind of booger made this sandwich...I decide to cut my losses and focus on the wings... wish i hadn't... found out I was sharing my wings with a millipede just about the same time dingleberry Debby ended her shift in the ladies room haulin logs. I surprisingly shared the story with the waitress who seemed un phased... she decided to tell us that mr.mitchell himself was gonna allow me to eat my bug platter fer nothin. And that I still owed him for the crap version of my usual brand of my usual beers. My over all feelin about this is that I got pissed on more times than the soccer ball in the urinal. My kind of dive. Good food cheap. I had the fish fry being Friday and everything, the fry was good...not the best but good. I would definitely go back, but probably try the famous roast beef sandwich instead. The patio was a nice and relaxing way to spend the evening. Pretty average bar... I liked a lot of the sports memorabilia on the walls... Pool table is in a good spot... Dart board a terrible spot... That said there really isn't another place to put the dart board... Bartender was pretty fast getting my drinks... I'd definitely go back read more

I'd like to give it less than 1. smelled dirty and smokey when we went in. It was late tho so we thought we'd try to get some food and a drink. Turns out you can only get served if your buddies with the bar maid. After we placed our drink order, she went down and asked all her buddies who wanted shots. She never got our drinks our even looked our way again. We waited a bit then left. Went to Mooneys over on Military, got great service and delicious food. Smells dirty. My wife and I went there on a Sat. evening for a drink and some food. Stood at bar for a few minutes and bar tender came over and we asked for food menu and named the 2 beers we wanted . We got the menus and she proceeded to give some people at the bar some shots and then more shots and then more so we left. read more

The inside could use a bit of an update, but the food and friendliness of the staff made up for that. The bartender / server helped suggest options, after we stated that we were newbies. Mitchell's has always been a welcoming spot for a casual meal for me and my family. The bartenders and servers are really nice and they have a great assortment of beers and liquor. Whether you're sitting indoors or outside on the patio, you'll have a good time! The beef on weck is great, the fish fries are a generous portion, and the chicken fingers are exactly what you need if you're craving something spicy! Oh, and speaking of spicy, check out the restroom decor...it's the true definition of eye candy...even my 82 year old grandmother appreciated it! read more

I do not add reviews as much as I should as I expect good service. I have become a regular at Mitchell's. First of all the prices are so reasonable that I feel I should pay more. Secondly, I love the food. The wraps are amazing. I was in last Saturday for lunch and had the Mitchell's wrap. Their specialty is roast beef and this was the best wrap I ever had. The time before I had the Buffalo wrap. The sports memorabilia on the wall is incredible. I always spend time just walking around looking at the pictures and autographs. Every time I go in new items are on the wall. This time a UB game used autographed jersey was added. If you are looking for a great comfort meal or fun place to hangout at night (pool table, dart board, internet jukebox for any song you can ever think of!) then Mitchell's is the place. I also inquired about catering. They have catering both away from restaurant as well as a separate location for private parties. read more

Used to work next door @ Buffalo Bearings in the 1980's...Went there for lunch often. The roast beef with horseradish was awesome and the beer was always served in a cold mug... I miss that place . read more

Mitchell's has excellent food. My husband and I enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly service. Love it there.

I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. Food was good, but the service was horrendous!!!! The waitress rushed us to order, we had to go to the bar to get refills on our drinks, and after we got our food we asked for silverware and they were never brought to us, she also did not check on us until we were completely done with our food. The waitress was more focused on socializing with other "patrons" which I think were just other employees that came into eat. We also asked for a sports game on a tv, we had to ask 3 separate people before they finally put the game on! The roast beef was good , as well as the wings. I'm just greatful that we had and Amazon daily deal so our food was free or I would have asked to speak with a manager. However the sour waitress has prevented me from EVER returning, we had planned on coming back to try other items on the menu. If your not hospitable the do not work in the hospitality industry! read more
