I went in for a lip lift and Dr Mitchell took so much that I now almost look like I have a cleft lip. It's uneven, badly scarred, and there's no room left for revision. The scars are thick, about half an inch all around my nose, and I'm permanently disfigured. During the surgery, while I was heavily medicated and unable to move, he completely lost control of his temper. I assume his girlfriend/assistant and him were arguing. He was screaming and stomping his feet while picking up a scalpel. I just laid there crying, terrified, but too drugged to do anything. No patient should ever be put through this type of trauma while in surgery. To make matters worse, his girlfriend...who also assists him , reeked of cigarette smoke which made me nauseous throughout the whole surgery. She even shared disturbing stories with me about the doctor and her romance over the years. Details that should never be shared with a patient. I was surrounded by chaos and tension instead of professionalism. He refused to even refund my money after leaving me botched and disfigured. it's embarrassing to be in public. This wasn't just bad results...it was reckless, dangerous, and traumatizing. No one deserves what happened to me. People need to know the truth before they make the same mistake. read more

I am writing this review in hopes that it will help someone who is looking to get cosmetic surgery. I have had a few different procedures done with Dr. Mitchell. One of them being an upper eye lid surgery as well as liposuction on my abdomen. Both procedures are uneven and I am dissatisfied with the results. Dr. Ryan Mitchell did a second lipo revision surgery on me to try and fix the first botch job he did but he had me take my sleeping medication before he had a chance to mark the areas that needed improvement and I was already unconscious by the time he was ready to begin with the procedure. He basically free styled it and it was basically a waste of time because I still had bad results. I was in and out of consciousness and at one point my head was hanging off to the side of the bed with my mouth open and Dr. Mitchell thought it would be funny to take a photo of me. I woke up and fixed myself but felt disrespected that he thought it was ok to do that. During on of my visits he advised me to rub my abdomen to try and bring the swelling down advising me use a vibrator (sex toy). His office assistant whom I was initially cool with talks about the patients and critizises them when they're not around. Not only have I heard her talking about others but she has also talked about me. I ended up blocking her from my phone after I called her out on it. The only reason we would text each other was because it was more convenient since they sometimes don't answer the office phone. So Erin went to bat for me with my insurance and scheduled my appt. I was so scared but Dr Mitchell talked with me the day of surgery and calmed me. My full review wouldn't fit, so please refer to the photos. Booked surgery on 3/7/2023 for 6/23/2023 at Seven Hills Surgery Center. On June 22,2023 I got a call from the office manager Erin telling me that "the surgery center was sold and we didn't find out until late yesterday ( June 21)" I called the surgery center and spoke with 2 different employees and emailed an admin. (Erin sent me documentation from the center). They confirmed she told me false information and they notified providers on 5/31/2023. Dr. Mitchell's office did not notify me and they knew for 22 days prior. They resorted to dishonesty and had no consideration for me. This is a very summarized version but overall I think Dr. Mitchell and his staff were incredibly unprofessional. He did not acknowledge the dishonesty and failed to take responsibility for the situation. He told me to "take my money and go somewhere else" so I suggest you do the same. Go to a surgeon you can trust and who makes you feel safe. read more

It has taken me just over 2 years to update my review on this Doctor. I had saved for a facelift for years, knowing when I lost the 20 pounds I had carried around since 40, at 60 I would get one. April of 2021 I turned 60 and was at my High School weight. I was in excellent health and was hiking 5 miles a day. I went to this Dr based on referral from my friend. He had performed blepharoplasty on both her and her sister. There was definitely red flags that went off when I went for the consult. This was a Dr's office but there was a dog in the office behind the reception desk. Don't get me wrong I LOVE dogs. But, I don't think they belong in this atmosphere. The Doctors son was in one waiting room on one of the reclining patient chairs eating fast food and blasting music. I was escorted to my room and the patients chair was all torn. It wasn't what I expected at all. However my friend had never steered me wrong. His quote for my lower facelift was way less than any of the other Doctors I had interviewed and I was like, Wow, I can afford this. So throwing care to the wind and going against my better judgment I paid and scheduled my lower facelift and blepharoplasty. It all seemed to go well and I went home and slept it off. The next day I sent him a photo, there was no bleeding at all and due to the swelling I looked 20 years younger. I sent the office a gift basket saying I was over joyed and over the moon. However, over the next few days I started oozing yellow around the stitches. I messaged him and sent him a photo. He didn't say anything except to come in after the weekend. At this point he could have saved most of my suffering but chose to do NOTHING! On Monday I was developing dark spots behind my ears. At this point being a Dr., he KNEW exactly what was happening to me. He told me it was a vascular problem and he didn't know why I wasn't healing. He made me feel like all this was my fault, which I believed at the time it was. As the days wore on it just got worse and worse, behind my ears turned into huge open gaping wounds. He suggested I go to an oxygen tent which I did 3 times a week for two weeks on my money. NEVER ONCE, did he tell me I had Necrosis that was caused by his incompetence and cutting off the blood supply to my skin. He never ever once called me during this horrific period to ask me how I was doing. My sister researched and found out what was happening to me, never once did this doctor show concern or give me any info on what was happening. He promised he would help me with the horrible scarring but then when the time came he told me to go see a dermatologist for laser treatments. I have suffered tremendously do to unsightly scarring and terrible tightness and discomfort. I would not recommend this Doctor to anyone for a lower facelift. You are wiser to spend a little more on a plastic surgeon. This Doctor is a cosmetic surgeon, big difference so I have learned. I was not going to write this review as I do not like to hurt people but everyone who has been treating my scars over the past year told me I really needed to. The worst experience of my life!!! I had a fully ablative, C02 full face over 2yrs ago and I am still dealing with all the issues. I came to see Dr. Ryan Mitchell to see about looking a little more youthful, mind you I looked pretty good for my age and always got taken for about 7- 10yrs younger. I was turning 40 and thought might help keep the clock going backwards. The BIGGEST mistake I ever did was walking into that awful office. First, the office is horrible so dated and disorganized. Dr. Ryan came in asked what I was looking to do. I explained to him my thought. He said, YES C02. I told him I was concerned about it since I had had another laser years before and it left me with some grid marks and I had sensitive skin . He didn't seem concerned about it. Fast forward to the day of the procedure my gut told me not to do it and I voiced to him that I was extremely nervous about it and assured me it was going to be great. As soon as I left the hospital and looked in the mirror I knew something wasn't right. The laser marks were all over the place it looked like a jigsaw puzzle all over my face some area looked more treated than others and way more aggressive than I thought it was going to be. I question the Dr where he then told me it was fully ablative!! This was not what I thought I was getting and at no point on the paperwork or in person did he tell me that. Within the week I broke out in herpes simplex all over my mouth , nose and going around my eye. When I saw him the week post and advised him I made an appointment with the dermatologist he was not happy! The skin started to get a very rough texture and extremely, extremely red. I sent pictures to him voicing my concerns and he acted like it wasn't a big deal and just needs to heal. It was so obvious that it was NOT healing correctly. I voiced to him that I was concerned about scarring and he told me, " it's not hypertrophic so it's fine" I advised him, " you know that there is other types of scarring "?!?! Let me tell you if you need a doctor that can perform the procedure and help fix when things go wrong DR RYAN MITCHELL is NOT the doctor. He has no clue how to help a patient or step up when things do bad. I saw previous patient who had severe issues as well post procedure and he had no clue based on the reviews they left. Months go by with constant communication BUT every time I send him pictures he would tell me, "that's just bad lighting " make all the excuses why it wasnt the procedure and then told me "I already looked like that before"!!!! Unbelievable when I quote him telling me " you look great already and have great skin". The following months I voiced so many concerns and he just kept telling me , "just needs to heal" well, I went to several different skin specialist who all agreed I had tissue damage/ scarring , post inflammatory issues . I saw a UCLA, laser specialist/ professor in CA where she has a beautiful private practice. When she saw me she was horrified and I quote, " This is the worst C02 I have ever seen". She asked for all his information, hopefully she reported Dr. Ryan. I showed her pictures of right after the procedure and over the past few years. She said, "It was done so unevenly and so aggressive when I didn't need this procedure at all. She is actually very well known on YouTube for her educational videos that after I left she actually used my pictures and posted a video of what a C02 should NOT look like and how it was done incorrectly . Dr. Ryan really was no help and when I came to see him for the last time asking him to help with the expenses I have endured from his procedure this idiot told me, "your just looking for money and that I was just a narcissist and I think just so highly of myself and that there is nothing wrong with my skin BUT that I need to look into my mental health " UNBELIEVABLE . I will never look the same and he has taken so much of me and who I was before seeing him. Took my wife to Dr. Mitchell's office with what we assumed was a wax buildup in her left ear. We'd been to our family doctor's previously, but they could not remove the blockage. Not only could my wife not hear out of that ear, but was now experiencing excruciating pain 24 hours a day. Dr. Mitchell worked on her ear with great persistence and care, and eventually removed what we had assumed was a large buildup of wax. After examination, it was determined that the blockage was an extremely unusual build up of flakes of dead skin, called a keratosis, that had grown to the ear canal completely blocking sound. The care and personal empathy shown by Dr. Mitchel and his staff went far beyond what we have come to expect with most doctors. I have been a client of Dr Ryan Mitchell for a little over a year. I initially sought him out for fillers and I had told him I was unhappy with my eyes. Since turning 63 I had noticed my eyes starting to become hooded. He explained how he could do an upper blepharoplasty under mild sedation, no general anesthesia, and I would have significantly more eyelid. The price he quoted me shocked me as I was expecting to be looking at double the price as I had researched blepharoplasty for months. I had never really had much of an upper eyelid. Now I have a real place for my eyeshadow to land!! I was VERY HAPPY with the results insomuch that I went back and discussed lower blepharoplasty as hereditarily I had bags. I had a lower bleph performed less that 2 months ago, under mild sedation, and have been getting so many compliments and feel/look 10 years younger. I have always been extremely self conscious of my nose my entire life ever since I was kid even in elementary school. I never thought it was something I would be able to get fixed until I went to Dr. Mitchell. Not only was the price reasonable especially for Vegas, he did an amazing job and was so professional! 6/14/17 Finally the dark spots are fading but only because they had to give me a lotion to put on at night. Not getting a treatment there ever. 5/11/17 Still have so many areas on my face that are marked up like bruises. People think I was punched or something. Very frustrating! I will never get this done again. Warning!!! Do not get a microneedling from them. They did an awful job! It took 5 days to BEGIN to heal. There was so much redness and it was painful. I was getting it done because I thought it would help my acne scars and pores. It ABSOLUTELY made it worse. Even with makeup, it looks awful! Very upset!!! I did my due diligence regardless ,. & on my own . Saw a few other very reputable Surgeons in town . I decided to go w/dr Mitchell for the following reasons . Initially seeing him in 2018 . He said he saw my neck bands starting & it was up to me but . I could wait . He was very laid back ,. Not pushy ,. Very knowledgeable . So here it is 2020 . This time dr Mitchell said . I was a good candidate for the procedure . I myself couldnt agree more ,.now see a noticeable aged dif in my face . So I went w / it & we set up . A surgery date . Now am I ever grateful that I did .
